Some of the staff was friendly. The hotel seems outdated and rooms were not very clean. Hot tub looked dirty and lots of ants on the patio furniture. Beds were uncomfortable and hard as a rock, also not very spacious. The only cool parts were restaurants near by, the beach and pool area. The food was expensive at their restaurant. We came here to stay near the site where my niece was going to get married. We arrived the day before the wedding and on the wedding day we woke up to no power. We had no light, we could not iron, use tools for our hair, we could not charge our phones. It was hot and no AC due to power outage. I called the front desk they said it would be up and running soon. The staff never offered us to iron our clothes (since the lobby areas DID have electricity from their reserve). We were not offered apology nor compensation of any kind. It was difficult to get ready for the wedding the room was dark barely any natural light and hot because the AC was not working due to power outage. As I left to the wedding I asked the front desk when the lights would be back on and they said by the time we come back from the wedding they will be back on. I come back and still no electricity. The staff kept blaming it on the town saying it was an outage all over but my daughter was staying at a hotel in the sale area and her power was not out. I think the manager or owners need to have a back up power generator so that their guests do not experience this again in the future. I left before my check out date and they refused to give me a refund. That is the least they could have done for ruining our day. Luckily I brought 3 dresses but what I did not appreciate was I did not get to wear the one I wanted for the wedding because it was wrinkled. I hope they do better and I hope they upgrade their rooms as well.

If you want to relive the 1908s, here is your chance. Better yet, if you have a thing for “Love Boat” décor, you really should not miss this hotel. Overall, this is a good option for families. Lots of pool and beach space, good size rooms, free and easy parking, and clean. Not very crowded. Good hot water and water pressure. Close to a variety of nearby restaurants. A weekly local market pops up on the hotel property and the guy selling empanadas is not to be missed! A truly impressive amount of furniture on our room's balcony. No, really, the hotel should have won an award for the number of items they were able to fit on the balcony. HOWEVER, hotel restaurant was overpriced which is likely why it was empty. Breakfast was included but I had to sit down at a table to have my (included) coffee or I had to pay for it. This seemed like a strange rule that didn't have a real reason. Ultimately we decided not to even have the included breakfast. Drinks at the hotel hot tub bar were awful and service was just plain terrible. But this I suppose is the price to pay for being able to say you were at a 1980s hot tub bar. If you can channel the 80s vibe, and you have kids, this place is ok. If you want to channel an even older vibe, make sure to visit the bar across the street to see the Elvis impersonator perform.

Toilet was dirty and shower was broken upon arrival. Talked to staff about it and asked to get a new room and all they did is come change the shower head which did not fix the flood king problem the shower was having. Also, did not have hot water when I tried to shower.

I’m torn to write this review or not - as I think this is a best kept secret! This hotel Never fails us. This is the third time staying at this hotel over the past few years. The rooms are large and clean, as well as the balconies. The shower is huge and has such good water pressure, the beds and bedding are very comfortable, the AC is consistent and perfect at whatever temperature you desire. Not to mention the staff whom are always wonderful and friendly. The American breakfast included with the room is tasty and fresh. As a bonus on the weekends they have a buffet brunch with lots of choices and fresh! The pools are clean and the beach is phenomenal!y beautiful! The staff work so hard to keep it seaweed free. The beach bar serves drinks and food on the new patio or at the beach loungers or at the pool. Can’t beat this place honestly! Shout out to the Manager who always makes us feel so welcome! Shhhh….. this place is Best kept secret. ;)

Tired older hotel in need of a refresh. Since they sell access to their beach, it is very crowded on weekends with lots of small children (too many babies in diapers in the pool). They have these weird hot tubs in each room that you have to fill each time you use them. Some of the front desk people (gilipollas) could use a refresher on politeness, especially with people like me who don't look like they speak and understand Spanish. Others were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but the design of the hotel makes it noisy. I will look for other options next time I'm here.

March 20, 2022 - 2 year old child grabbed light bulb at floor level in main pool area and was electrocuted. Mother pulled child away and was also electrocuted. Child had severe electrocution burns on palm of her hand. Even after the electrocution occurred, the breaker never tripped and the light was still illuminated. Hotel staff did nothing to correct safety hazard and more guests are at risk of being electrocuted in the pool area. General manager and maintenance person used chicken wire to elevate the still broken and hazardous light. DO NOT GO HERE, YOU MAY DIE! VERY UNSAFE HOTEL and zero emergency response procedures.

We had Christmas dinner here. It was such a disappointment. Menu is awful. I have never sent food back ever in my life. I walked my bowl of shrimp pasta back to the waiter and explained that it was inedible. The sauce tasted like it was just the water that the pasta had been cooked in. Absolutely no flavor. Three of us had ordered it and we all agreed that it was a total disaster. The waiter was very nice and handled the situation in a friendly, professional way. 15 minutes later, a new bowl of shrimp pasta arrived and it was delicious. It is really too bad that the chef had not taken the time to prepare this dish in this manner to begin with. We live here and used to love going to the beach club for dinner. With the new steak menu they have lost us. We won't be back.

We came down for a wedding down the beach from the hotel. It was perfectly located close to all the great places we ate (cafe ole, pineapple, tuk tuk!!) and spent all of our time at the beach in the wonderful chairs provided to us by the hotel. They had servers serving drinks on the beach, by the pool and the swim up bar overlooking the ocean. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Will come back for a longer stay next time!!
