We returned after taking a break to allow them to complete the remodel. As always the staff was amazing. Notably our Eden pool server Fatima was wonderful and knew our drinks and names the first day. Also Jazzy Quinn our entertainment director greeted us with a hug and a big smile daily. Jose and crew at the Eden pool bar took great care of us. Our room service guy Carlos was always ready to bring us coffee every AM. The remodel is beautiful and they added a couple of new restaurants on the adult side. There have been some changes some may not be so happy about. The adults only section has reduced in size as they are now allowing kids in the main Heaven pool and lobby. There is only one adults only pool now between buildings 1 & 2. and is pretty subdued. The pool games at the Heaven main pool are now pretty family friendly.(I admit it, I enjoyed the past debauchery). All told we had a great time and will return. If you are traveling with kids I can't imagine a better place for them. Water slides, zip line, and many other things for them to do. One personal note, we hardly saw anyone tipping the hard working staff. They make about $12 a day and the tips are a big part of how they make ends meet. Frankly, if you can afford to take a trip like this, you can budget in a few hundred bucks to tip. I wont say it gets you better service (but it will). …

We chose this resort for our upcoming wedding and visited for a week to check out the resort and do some wedding planning. We are beyond happy with our choice in hotel! Restaurants: Every meal we had was great! Restaurants did not require a reservation and we had no problem getting seated for dinner. Typically we went to dinner in the 6:30-7:30 range. The longest we had to wait for a table was 20 minutes. Leonel at Toro was a great waiter! He made my fiance feel extra special for his birthday. Pools: We spent our days at the central pool in the adults only section of the resort. The pool had daily activities at 1 and 3pm and music playing. Lizabet and Christian took AMAZING care of us when it came to drinks and food. We did visit the Float Pool on the family side, as well as the new adults only Oasis Pool. All of the pools were cleaned and well maintained. We found that we did NOT have to put towels out at 6am like most resorts. We were able to arrive around 10am and had no problem finding a chair. Pool Entertainment: Jazzi Quinn, Eduardo, Danny and Baby Shark (Josh) made our days really fun! They were funny and something we looked forward to every day. Lunch Food: We LOVED the lunch options. We were able to grab food near the pool and not have to go to an indoor restaurant. The options were plentiful - pork tacos, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, fajitas, nachos, fruit cups, mac & cheese, etc. It was also easy to walk into the lobby and grab a pre packaged salad or sandwich from caffetto. Heaven Bar: Isai at the Heaven Bar made us FABULOUS craft cocktails. We did notice a difference in how each bar tender made drinks, but he was spot on with his skills. Rooms: We had a sky terrace room and it was beautiful. The roof top was nice to sit out on in the morning. We did not use the jacuzzi on the roof. The layout of the rooms do feel a little smaller than rooms at other hotels, but this was not an issue for us. Overall we had a great trip and are confident our friends and family will have a great trip for our wedding! *Wedding Department: Gabby was excellence with our on site visit and showing us wedding spaces, answering questions, etc.…

Spent a week in paradise. The new adult area is extremely nice, with Eden pool and Luxury cabana's a hit. Our butler team of Gabriel and Nacho were very attentive. Our pool waiter David Alvarez and his partner Mary were great. Food at new restaurant Umo was average at best. Golf course had 9 holes closed and unfortunately, we were not informed of this when Vacation Planners booked this, which didn't make for a great experience.

We’ve been here for a total of 11 hours. Upon check-in, they couldn’t find our reservation at first. Apparently there was a power issue. There is no AC in our room, our room keys couldn’t be activated so a staff member had to bring us to our room each time, pools close at 6:30, restaurants close at 8:30, impossible to get reservations, room phones aren’t working so we can’t call for room service or the front desk, buffet food was awful, drinks are weak, can’t call for fresh towels, took cold showers, asked for extra bottles of water and no one came. Writing this review in bed as I can’t sleep because it’s so hot in our room. Just a terrible first day after a long day of travel. And they keep lying saying everything is going to be fixed in the next 30 mins…

Terrible resort. Dirty, understaffed and disappointing all around. The resorts didn’t have power most of the day. Finally got into our room, unpacked then it flooded along with several others in our building. We were good the resort is at 95% so they’d likely not be able to accommodate. Finally gave us access to another room. We packed as fast as we could before the ceiling collapsed. Now we’re in the other room and it’s 80 degrees. Phone a and AC are down. Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT STAY here.

The Hard Rock Cafe at Riviera Maya was the BEST trip I’ve taken thus far. They have included activities such as pool activities and paddle board. Javier from the entertainment team was absolutely amazing as the instructor for paddle board lessons. He was exceptionally nice and funny. We’ll be coming back soon!

I went to Hard Rock Hotel Rivera Maya for my honey moon and it was such a great experience. During our trip we had the legendary services and two employees Moises and Edgar were assisting us throughout our whole trip. They would book our reservations, pool chairs, and shows! They both provided great customer service all day round. Overall, awesome trip, food, and customer service! Can’t wait to go back!
