We are nestled in the heart of the countryside. We are the perfect location for your country experience whether you are travelling through the Midlands or visiting to enjoy all the varied amenities our area has to offer. With views of the Slieve Blooms and the local eskers, Bracklin Country House and Stables is a peaceful country escape. Our country home is located just outside of Tullamore, and has stables, an arena, and fields for all of our lovely horses. We have 2 donkeys, 19 ducks that waddle down to our little river every morning. We have hens that provide our eggs , an amazing dog called Oscar, and a cat called Matilda. Our property borders, a now dry extension of the Grand Canal which ran from Ballycommon to Kilbeggan and offers an interesting walking route along the towpath. It is part of the Grand Canal Greenway. We have our own vegetable and fruit garden that is overflowing and provides us with delicious seasonal produce. We love to offer guests coffee and home baking on arrival. The house is always very warm and has all living areas facing the south and west sun. Overall, Bracklin Coutry House offers a very special opportunity to enjoy the best of Irish rural life with every modern day comfort and convenience. The sun always shines here.

Stayed here in September to attend the ploughing championships. The house was very spacious and the facilities spotlessly clean. The hosts were first class and were very generous and helpful to us during our stay. Breakfast was excellent too. All in all made for enjoyable few days away, would definitely stay again if in the area.

We arrived quite late at Bracklin, but were warmly welcomed into this beautiful home. Everything is done to a very high standard and the house and its setting were perfect. We were happy to be a little off the beaten track and look out into the lovely countryside when we woke up. There is a lounge especially for the use of guests which is very inviting and, in the morning, we were ushered into a magnificent dining room for our hearty and tasty breakfast. The whole place is spotless and comfortable. There has been great attention to detail to make this a stunning home and seeing the horses and Oscar, the rather docile dog who is ready to play with you, was lovely! You will have to drive into the nearby village for dinner, but there is a choice of restaurants and pubs and it is only about 10 minutes away. I would definitely return here. Thank you to the hosts who had a lovely, friendly manner. Just what you'd expect in Ireland!

The nicest place we stayed in during our visit. It was a little out of the way, but worth it. Oscar, their dog, was there to greet us. The house was beautiful, spotless and well decorated. Our room was spacious and the shower hot and powerful. We were served tea and home made muffins upon arrival, and I was allowed to wander the fields to pet the horses and donkeys. Breakfast was delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay, the room was very clean and spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfasts very good and plentiful. The only downside was actually finding the place however once there and you find your bearings it's easy enough

We also had difficulties in finding the premises. However a directional map attached to the advert would help. Satnav put us in the wrong location. However a call to the owner put us right and with the correct direction it was easily found. (Take Junction opposite Castle Restaurant Tyrrellspass drive 200m take next road on right signposted for Rahan travel approx 4km to the first crossroads . Take left and travel approx 1km to the only junction on your right short distance on this road the location is on your left.) The bedrooms were comfortable and clean as was the linen. The location very private and quiet. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the homemade wheaten & jam at breakfast would be worth returning for. We recommend this B&B with no hesitation at all.
