We stayed only one night for a wedding at Shiningford Manor. What a charming B+B in an equally charming setting. Spotlessly clean, very welcoming hosts and very high standard breakfast and service. There was no TV in our twin room but this was no problem for one I night. Would highly recommend.

Damson Cottage provided us with a fabulous home-from-home last week. The private garden, hens, size of cottage and, most of all, the owners made this a lovely place to stay. Thank you to Michelle and Andrew. See you soon.

Just got back from a two night stay at Breach Farm. Michelle served us with a pot of tea and homemade cake when we had finished unpacking, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was of a very high quality, and plenty of everything. We had the double room upstairs, and the bed was the comfiest I... More

We go to Derbyshire each June to see friends who have close to my family for about 50 years - Gosh! Last year they suggested the B/B at Breach Farm and we were thrilled. The B/B is beautiful - a separate entity from the cottages but with its own little private garden which is very peaceful - a few sheep... More

We had a 3 night stay in damson cottage on breach farm. The setting was perfect. Very peaceful with the pleasant noise of chickens and sheep. The cottage was gorgeous. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and a kitchen with everything you need for the stay. The owner was very friendly and at hand for anything you may need. It is In... More

Fabulous spot a short walk from the shores of Carsington water, beautiful garden with chickens and cute pair of dogs knocking about in the yard, room lovely, warm and quiet. There was no TV in the room but in with only two B&B rooms we had the lounge and the fire to ourselves when we came back from dinner so... More

A great long weekend spent in Damson cottage. Really lovely hosts, and a great book full of local treasures. Weather was beautiful and sunny, followed by rain, followed by snow! Loved every second of it. Within a stones throw of carsington water, which was perfect for a walk. Would definitely return! Thank you!

We had a wonderful B and B stay at Breach Farm. The set up was perfect for us and our two children as we had the place to ourselves, including the use of the lounge for after the children were in bed. Michelle couldn't have been more warm and welcoming and she had great suggestions for places to eat and... More

Stayed in a B&B room. Warm welcome, comfortable room, excellent breakfasts, great location. Everything as advertised on their website. Upstairs room is a double - care, sound can travel downstairs to the other room!

We had a 2 night stay in the double en-suite room at the end of August, and found it to be a lovely comfortable and clean guest house, with wonderful views over Carsington Water. We were fortunate to have the ground floor lounge to ourselves, as there were no other guests staying there at the time. Michelle was the perfect... More
