The hotel is a rustic one reflecting the stone/rock ruins nearby...its not what you think of typically but the people are charming, everything is within walking distance, acapulco is 6 hrs away by bus and..we loved the staff. Juan in particular is in charge of the trips in the local area. I highly recommend asking for the delfiniti trip if...

Puerta del Mar is a quiet, 6 floor hotel located about 10 minutes walking distance from the beach. It has a definite Mexican feel to it, so if you are looking more for an American-type luxury hotel, move on to the Barcelo or Presidente. These hotels are nicer and beachfront but very busy. For those that want to feel the...

We had a very nice stay at Puerta Del Mar. I have to say the place was clean, but the beds are to hard(had to get an air matress). The bar and resturant were excellent both service and quality. Thank you to Gabrella and staff. We spent more time there then in the room. See Juan to hook you up...

Do not go here if you want to be housed in a sterile fancy schmancy hotel environment. Definitely go here if you want to feel like you are actually in Mexico. The help is warm and friendly but their English is limited. My wife and I speak limited Spanish but we always ended up figuring out a way to communicate....

We arrived at the resort with an idea in mind but being hopeful this place was going to be fair. After reading some of the reviews we were not sure what to except. We have traveled to many places in Mexico and have never seen a place so poor, awful, dirty, dark smelly and disgusting. We checked in and checked...

We traded through II for a stay in Sept. 2001. The place has a charming look with colorful tiles throughout the unit. The quality of the place is similar to Super 8's in the U.S. I would say: simple and adequate but definitely not luxurious. As we are simple travelers, this was OK for the week. There was enough room...

This hotel was a total disappointment. The pictures that you will find on the web are very deceiving. It's equivalent to a Motel 6 in the United States. If you decide to stay here, wait until you visit some of the other hotels like The Barcelo (across the street) and you'll feel like a chump. We made the reservation through...

It is about a 10 minute walk from the beach. The rooms have a definate Mexican feel to them...not super nice according to "american" standards. But they are clean, comfortable and very well kept up. The hotel has exellent facilities. There is a swim up bar, a trampoline, hammocks, a slide, a spa, and all the rooms have balconies that...
