Really nice country pub and the beer very well kept. The food we had for lunch was very nice being a Crayfish omelette and Sausage and mash, but we were looking more for a lighter lunch like a sandwich but unfortunately not available only full meals. But the meals were very good.

We stayed in this country pub for 2 nights, rooms are adequate, comfortable, chintzy and yes the plumbing is a little noisy but this didn't bother us. Room was also spotless as well as the bathroom but cheap toiletries ( Lucky i had taken my own). Lovely country location but for us a little too much out of the way,... More

The food while by no means cheap is excellent and the pub is in a very attractive position, The beer from Uphams is also a very good pint. However, and I am really not sure why this, the service is at best indifferent, rather slow and grudging.

We visited for Sunday Lunch the food was of very high quality however the service was somewhat lacking, the front of house greeted us with a stern face then to be told we had incorrectly booked and that it was our fault not hers as we were two places short on our table, we then asked several times for a... One of my frequently visited places and in the main it's good. It was a busy evening and our server forgot the champagne, twice. That aside the food service was good, nothing too fussy but fresh well cooked quality food, I had the chicken breast with baby asparagus and mash and my friend the cod. The atmosphere was busy but... Lovey pub, convenient to Windsor and Heathrow. Dinner was very good. Breakfast equally so. Service was fine for both meals. We stayed overnight in room number 6. Room spacious and neat bathroom. All was good until the hot water starts to be used in the morning, seemingly in any of the other rooms, as the hot water system then cranks... More

We stayed for 4 nights while attending the PGA Golf Championship at Wentworth. On the one hand we were delighted with our room which was clean and comfortable. There was however an issue with speed of service in the dining room both at breakfast and dinner. This is not to criticise the staff who were clearly doing their best. The problem... More

Coming to Windsor or Ascot, take a look at this country pub with style and panache. Rooms are clean and comfortable, pub food is excellent and the local Mercedes taxi is £15-£20 into central Windsor. Save on the room cost and enjoy the countryside. We have found a hidden gem and will be back again for another stay in the... More

The hotel is part of a pub set in quiet village. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our room which looked like it was recently built was well equipped, bright and very clean. The free wi-fi was fast and connected easily in our room, there was ample free parking . We had a most enjoyable evening meal in... More
