We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Harvest Lodge in August 2022. We met our family from Alberta for a week long reunion. We enjoyed the cabin, the location and fishing the river. The owners are always available to help out, give advice on fishing and to make your stay very enjoyable. Our dog also felt extremely welcome by the owners. There is a play ground for the kids, the best fish cleaning facility I have ever seen as well as a lot of wide open space. There are many different cabin options ranging in price as well as in amenities. For us the four bedroom cabin was the perfect size, however, there are smaller kitchenette units perfect for just two people wanting to get away for a little fishing. The only problem we have is trying to figure out the next time we can visit!

If you want a ‘feel like home’ getaway, with a fabulous cottage feel.. this IS the place. Karissa and Jon bring their ‘southern’ hospitality to Canada with flair. Oh, and Kara adds as a great conversationalist. The hi-light? The greeting from Drake and Haus. Whether business or pleasure, be sure to add this stop to your list.

Although we didn’t stay for hunting or fishing, we were welcomed with open arms by Jon& Karissa. Cabins were clean, cozy and well equipped! Thank you guys for the excellent hospitality and fantastic meals! From Staying up late till we all got back from work, to making sure we were well equipped for the day. You guys went above and beyond for us, it was greatly appreciated and not forgotten! The lodge is a beautiful getaway! Nothing like a delicious home cooked meal after a long day of work!!

We had a wonderful weekend with our family and some friends. Cabins were great, everything we needed. We had 3 cabins rented. Had some of our meals at the lodge and the food was excellent. Weather wasn’t,tgreat, but we still had a fun filled weekend. Caught some fish and had a great fish fry. Would go back again.

We enjoyed an early Fathers Day family fishing weekend at Harvest Lodge this past weekend and what a great weekend we had. Yes, the weather might have co-operated a little more, but we managed to pull in some very nice fish and had a great weekend all around. We were a fairly large group and rented out 3 cabins. Jon, Karissa and family were wonderful and made us feel right at home. Meals in the lodge were excellent and it was a nice place for our group to gather. Very nice cabins as well equipped with everything you need. Till next time, thank you for a great experience. p.s. the two horned owl and her babies perched in our tree right in front of our cabin was a nice added bonus.

I'll start from the beginning... the drive up from the airport in Winnipeg was pleasant, probably because I took one of the backseats and slept while my buddies navigated and drove. Highly recommend that strategy. We didn't get in until around 11pm, but John and Karissa stayed up, welcomed us, had some snacks, and got us settled in. The accommodations were just perfect, and more than what I would have imagined. 4 grown men in a 3 bedroom cabin... you would think 2 of us would share a room, but if you find yourself in this situation, do what I did and manipulate someone into thinking the pull-out couch would be awesome, and bam! Everyone has their own room. Full disclosure, one of the rooms had 2 beds in it, but still. We had a great homemade breakfast the next morning (and every morning), John showed us some videos and we discussed tips about bear hunting. We confirmed zero on the rifles that we borrowed from John, which worked out very well. Of course we were expert marksmen, so we didn't waste their ammo nor carbon up the gun too bad. We went out that afternoon, but the place we were going to go (some 20 miles away) had a small brush fire, so we chose safety (booooo) and went elsewhere. I tell you, the quality and quantity of bears here are such that my buddy and I were on the same tree stand (well, 2 stands right next to each other), and we each harvested a large chocolate black bear within 90 minutes of each other. Clayton (the guide) did an amazing job skinning, and we brought a portable vacuum sealer, so we immediately deboned it, sealed it, and put it in the freezer. Then we fished for the rest of the week. Maybe we drank too, I don't remember. But we caught so much walleye that we limited out every day, put enough in the freezer to take home, and had a couple fish fry's. Their entire operation is top notch, and their family felt like our family from the first day, and even more by the last. I would definitely recommend, and I want to come back for some waterfowl (hint hint). Thanks guys for an amazing time!

Our group of 6 had a great Manitoba experience, goose hunting, duck hunting and catching Canadian Walleyes. The guides were prepared and ready to get you on the hunt you are looking for. Cant say enough good things.

The purpose of the trip was waterfowl hunting, but I got way more than I bargained for! Besides the great hospitality of the owners and their family, the atmosphere of the lodge was second to none! Food, friends and the outdoors!
