Hostel Monte Cassino is a peaceful, friendly family-run hostel in the heart of Puerto Escondido next to the beach. It was established in 1986, and has all private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and shower, but for the same prices as shared dorm beds in other hostels! The rooms are very clean, and cleaned daily, and many rooms also have TV with cable. The hostel restaurant, Mario's Pizzaria, is the oldest restaurant in La Aldoquin and travellers return year after year to try Mario's famous lasagne.
