Le Domaine De Tam Hai Resort is a place, accessible only by boat, tucked away on the central coast of Vietnam, an hours drive from Hoi An. Eleven shabby chic villas nestled amongst coconut palms, a stone’s throw away from the waters edge.
This place is very peaceful. The food was fantastic and the staff were helpful. In saying that, it has been quite affected by the recent flooding/covid and therefore looks slightly different to the pictures. The internet worked well but there isn’t much to do, so bring a good book, relax and enjoy the scenery (also bring your own snacks). A great place to spend a couple nights

Being here made me really sad. A gorgeous place, with the most spectacular bathroom I have ever seen. I can tell it was once really lovely. Now it mostly seems sad and rundown. The food was the worst I have had in Vietnam. I know it has been affected by covid, and the horrible storms. The acceptable number of rats IN your bedroom is zero. Even if you are on an island. Rats ran across my beams all night and I did not sleep well. The pool was gorgeous but suspiciously cloudy. The staff are sweet, and the rooms were clean other than the rogue rat droppings, but you can tell the resort is barely hanging on.

I came here last year on my holiday trip and stayed for 3 nights before I went back to Ho Chi Minh city. I had a wonderful experience here with my friends. The staffs are very helpful and responsive. If you looking for a place to forget the noise of busy city, work and stress, this place will be a clever choice. I know 2020 is really hard and many businesses have been shut down; I hope everyone still keeps their faith and hope to the end. When it’s all over I’m gonna comeback here ☺️ Thank again for all staffs that well taken care of me last time.

We spent 2 nights at Le Domaine to top off a 2-week motorbike trip around central Vietnam. It was the perfect place to relax and decompress for a couple of days before returning home. We loved our villa, and the restaurant on site was great. We would definitely recommend!!

We spent 3 nights at Le Domaine in the winter season. We wanted some relaxing time as a change of place from our busy month touring Vietnam, and that is what we got. After booking our stay, I was hit by a bicycle in Hoi An and had an injured foot. Caroline the manager was so helpful and accomodating, changing our room, making sure I was safe, arranging transport. The resort was clean and peaceful and very relaxing. We loved the spacious cabin and the spa-like indoor/outdoor shower. The pool was lovely. We were able to make good use of the kayaks and did the easy paddle to a stunning beach at the mouth of the river. The island itself is not touristy but gives a great insight into the daily lives of the fisher families that live and work there. The mural village is very sweet. Be fore-warned that the island has a huge plastic problem and all the beaches, though beautiful are covered in it. The islanders are working on solutions and much of the garbage comes from up-river. We recommend Le Domaine as a relaxing two to three night get away. …

The lone resort on the island and only ten or so bungalows is a godsend for tranquillity and lack of tourists. The bungalows are just wonderful, nestled in the sand and decked out with every possible need. Stargazing in the open roof shower is a wonderful highlight. No need to leave this peaceful island resort if you just need to relax, Caroline (resort manager) has covered every base for the perfect getaway and is more than happy to help with all kinds of questions and has plenty of tips about the island and Vietnam in general. Give a little thought to venturing out of the resort to meet the local fishing community who are incredibly friendly/inviting/generous and curious. Be ready for a big "Hello" and smile from them all as you pass by. Thank you Caroline, Danielle and I can't wait to get back for a visit. …

We spend only one day on the Island but will definitely come back here! Staff is great, food good and villas specious and clean! The nearby village is as going back in time, very nice to visit. We especially enjoyed as it was good for kids, toys around and lots of sand to play with:-)

This was been the first place I’ve been to in Vietnam where I felt truly relaxed. During my stay, I believe we only saw one other person there. The management there was very helpful and courteous. They sent a boat to pick us up at the boat dock and met us when we arrived at the resort to help take our bags to our private cabins. It made us feel like royalty! A+ service! The food there was nothing short of amazing! They had a very large variety of selections to pick from. Vietnamese and western food. The prices were also very reasonable! I don’t often get time in my busy schedule to travel, but I really hope to make it back there soon. It was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend staying there.

if you are looking to escape reality this is the place to be at! we got to this island after being in vietnam for almost a week and it was the perfect 'pause' in between visiting the bigger cities of Vietnam. We were there in early februari and because it was off-season there was a total of 8 tourists on the island, along with the 5000 vietnamese living there. The resort was simply amazing with everyone staying in a bungalow-type room which had a very cool half-outside-half-inside shower. Rooms were very clean and had a direct view to the river. The personnel was very nice and helped us a lot with planning the rest of our trip in Vietnam. The wifi in the rooms did not work but that was actually kind of perfect because the purpose was trying to avoid staying on the internet the whole vacation. One of the best things was taking the bikes into the village and eating the amazing food prepared by a local vietnamese woman (whole fish with lemongrass yum!) Across from the resort there is a beautiful beach with white sand where you can bathe, the only downside would be the trash that the waves bring ashore.…

We had a great experience in Tam Hai, Catherine and all the staff received us very well. She explained us everything about the island and the possibilities, we used for free the kayak and we fished in the beached with local people and also we took the bikes to move around, we went to see the nice cliff. Local people offer us some shrimps they had for fee. We finished our trip here. Perfect, relaxing with a wonderful barbacoa we had and with no tourists at all so that we can get to know the people better. Thanks you!!!
