We have just spent six days here with the owners,Denise and Vic. It's not easy to find amongst the high hedges of Cornish lanes, but well worth the adventure. The 300 year old cottage has been lovingly restored to way beyond its former glory and the interiors are straight out of the pages of 'House and Garden'. The feeling of... More

An old cottage nestling in the bottom of a valley next to a stream and duckpond on the Roseland peninsular. The building has idiosyncratic decor with comfortable rooms set in a terrific garden. Charming hosts Denise and Victor are very attentive and serve a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended

We stopped at Tubbs Mill House on our way home from a few days away. We were greeted at the front door by Denise and Vic who instantly made us feel incredibly welcome. The cottage is simply stunning and has been beautifully and tastefully restored. We were first given tea (and offered home made cake) which was served in the... More

Tubbs Mill House is the gingerbread cottage from the fairy tale. Run by the delightful Denise and Vic, it is an old converted mill house set on the Roseland Peninsula in the depths of rural Cornwall. There are ducklings on the pond, chickens on the path and the cottage has its own well. My German friends and I spent two... More

Tubbs Mill is a very old property, beautifully decorated and maintained by its current owners. We had a lovely en-suite room, unusually on two levels, which gave us lots of space. There is also a guest sitting room available all the time and unlimited tea/coffee/biscuits available all the time. Vic and Denise are very hospitable, with a warm welcome from... More

I was filming near by and needed a good place to stay for a few days. The house is wonderful and very stylish, with spacious rooms and plenty of comfortable places to relax and unwind. The garden is picturesque and extends down along the river, with a multitude of beautiful plants, trees and flowers growing all over the place, giving... More

We've just come back from 4 lovely days in Cornwall where we stayed in what was possibly the best B&B we've ever been to! The house is in the most wonderful setting, right by a little river in the hilly countryside, and has a dreamy garden where you are welcomed with tea and homemade cake. The interior is cozy, spacious... More

After arriving and settling into the warmth of Tubbs Mill, Denise told me they don't normally have guests in December so I felt very privileged. It was wonderful being surrounded by pastures and the lovely garden again this morning after our hearty breakfast prepared by Vic. So long since I've had fresh free range eggs, I'd forgotten just how yellow... More

A beautiful house in an idyllic setting. The garden is so lovely we could have spent our whole time just relaxing beside the river. Although the house looks old worldly the interior fittings and decor are top quality and everything is spotless. Breakfast is delicious with a great choice. Lots of places to visit nearby i.e. Eden Project, Lost Gardens... More
