Stopped here on a cycling trip around Zennor / St Ives area. Dayglo yellow building made us wonder what we would get and we were hopeful only of some basic pub food . However, we were very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a delicious gourmet lunch with delicious local ingredients. Service was friendly and excellent. We will definitely return.

What a unique and special place! This restaurant with rooms was all that we'd hoped it would be. My traveling companion and I stayed for four nights and found the location to be great: close to places we wanted to visit, such as St Ives, ruined tin mines, Marazion, and St. Michael's Mount, but away from crowds of vacationers. In... More

The best meal I had during a month away. Remember to book. I hadn't but was lucky as I was early and on my own. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. On my next visit to Cornwall I would like to stay there.

So lucky to get a table here one evening in June as we hadn't booked. The food was delicious with good vegetarian choices as well. Pudding however was another matter - just sublime and we were so glad we had room. Will definitely come back next time we are in Cornwall but will ensure we book this time!

Having walked the South West Coast Path from St Ives toward Pendeen, finding the Gunard's Head pub & restaurant on the way back was a welcome discovery! The staff were full of smiles, the local Cornish lager just what was needed! The pub blended history with comfortable furnishings and I would happily return.

Just a short review to say that we stopped in here for a quick lunch one day, it is a lovely place and staff very nice, we had the fish soup, which was very tasty, but our only complaint was the soda bread the accompanied the soup, as we are from Ireland we are used to making and eating this,... Don't know what was best? The fantastic coastal walk along the rugged coastline, passing through English fields and meadows or the couple of pints of bitter at The Gurnard's Head. Great experience of both. These walks are spectacular and you don't have to be a "mountain goat" to enjoy it. Country pubs in England are unique!

Great staff and wide selection of beers and ciders along with other drinks. Dog friendly. Also marinated anchovies! Thank you for the very warm welcome ladies. Shame our puppy was ill or we would have liked to have stopped for a meal too.

Lovely country pub/ restaurant with rooms in the middle of the beautiful Cornish countryside. I had a fantastic meal here at the weekend. Nice and friendly bar area. Very busy... Families, couples and guests with dogs. Good service. The beef is top notch!
