Das Camp liegt an der C 35, von Uis kommend auf der rechten Seite. Irritierend ist das offenbar witzig gemeinte Kunstwerk direkt am Eingang,(s. Foto) weil das ablenkt und man das deutlich kleinere Hinweisschild auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite nicht wahrnimmt. Wären fast weitergefahren, weil wir keinen Hinweis sahen und ein Camp „Toyota“ nicht gesucht haben Das eigentlich schön in die Landschaft eingebettete Camp besteht aus einer offenen Rezeption (Foto), die auch als Bar dient (wird aber im Wesentlichen als Ladestation für Handys genutzt) einem Hauptzelt (Foto) und den auf einer Holzkonstruktion stehenden Zelthäusern(Foto). Die Zelte haben vorne eine Terrasse Richtung Osten, also für den Sonnenaufgang. Darauf zwei Stühle und ein kleiner Tisch. Hinten führt ein Steg zur Dusche/Toilette. Das Zelt selbst hat eine Reihe von Fenstern. Die Zeltplane läßt sich dort – wie auch bei den Türen - mittels Reißverschluss öffnen und schließen, was wegen der Aufheitzung am Tage auch nötig ist. Die Dachkonstruktion hat über dem Zelt noch ein Pultdach. Dort kann sich leider der Wind ordentlich fangen. Wir hatten in der Nacht erhebliche Böen, die dabei entstehenden Geräusche an der Plane lassen nur Leute mit absolutem Tiefschlaf schlafen. Der Empfang war äußerst zurückhaltend und förmlich. Ein Mitarbeiter ist mit uns zwar bis zum Zelt mitgefahren, beim Ausladen der Koffer und dem Hochheben auf die Wohnebene hat er nicht geholfen. Das Haupthaus hat den Charme eines Bundeswehr-Sanitätszeltes ohne Seitenwände, also – wie auch die Bar – so gut wie keine Atmosphäre. Am Pool gab es nur zwei Liegestühle – das war aktuell kein Problem, da insgesamt nur 6 Gäste da waren. Es gibt in der Nähe aber keinen Schatten. Das Essen war nur dann angenehm, wenn Matthew gekocht hat, aber auch dann noch sehr schlicht. Das Geschirr aus Blech - auch die „Gläser!!“ (Foto) steigert den Genuss nicht. Die Beleuchtung auf dem Weg zu den einzelnen Häusern war noch nicht fertig gestellt, was den Fußweg vom Abendessen deutlich erschwert. Das Camp ist insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert. Wir werden jedenfalls hier nie wieder hingehen. Der Ausflug zu den Wüstenelefanten ( vom Camp Madisa ausgeführt) war dagegen sehr gut.…

We stayed at Buruxa for 2 nights in October 2019, and had 2 of the honeymoon tents. The setting is fantastic, very rural and lovely sunsets. However so many little things are missing/lacking here that we just couldn’t enjoy our stay. Here are just some of the examples which they will hopefully rectify after this review: - All staff were incredibly absent and would sit around in groups together. If you wanted something you had to find a member of staff and ask. They were polite but not looking to provide customer service in any way. - No charging points in the tents (even though they had electricity - you instead had to go to a central bar area with one long adaptor for all guests) - No tea or coffee in the rooms, fridges, info or any other additions you would expect e.g. hairdryer, bin etc. - No lights to the left side of the camp so you were blind going back to your tent if it was over that side - Shower surround is all falling apart in all the showers (poor choice of materials) - No hot water in one of our tents - The pool water was green - Only 2 sun loungers and one chair for the whole camp, so you better hope you are the only ones there - No ice was available for any of our drinks - The pool towels were tatty with holes in - No drinks menu (just had to guess at what they’d have) - No rails on the edge of your balcony so very unsafe for children/ at nighttime Unfortunately we wouldn’t return here as the sum of the above meant we were just not comfortable. We stayed for one night on a tour of Namibia. Arriving after a long, dusty drive, it was absolute heaven. Well-appointed tents stretched along the desert floor with amazing views of the desert landscape. There's a bar, small (but very welcome) pool and a great spot for sundowners on the rocks above. Staff are fantastic and breakfast at dawn is a treat. Can't fault this place - wish we'd had another night to enjoy the peace and quiet, and the night sky.

Buruxa est très un camp très récent qui se fond très bien au paysage ce qui le rend magique à l'aurore et au coucher de soleil. C'est un lieu très reposant qui a été très bien pensé. Il s'agit d'un super compromis pour celles et ceux qui recherchent un peu d'aventure (tente) avec du confort (vraie literie, douches et WC individuels, électricité..) James et toute l'équipe sont très accueillants et chaleureux. Nous y sommes restés deux nuits et les repas étaient très bons. Le coin piscine est très agréable et super pour se reposer. L'excursion proposée à la recherche des éléphants du désert au pied de Brown back mountain c'est à ne pas manquer.

E’ un campo tendato nel deserto molto confortevole. Le tende sono montate su piattaforme sopraelevate e hanno un bagno privato con WC e doccia. Pulitissimo. Il letto molto comodo. La cena a buffet e la colazione sono più che dignitose tenendo conto del luogo in cui è ubicato. Pur essendo in mezzo al nulla più totale presso il bar c’è un modem wifi con cui ci si può connettere a internet. Noi siamo stati lì in una notte senza luna e il cielo stellato era uno spettacolo. La Via Lattea era ben visibile.
