Two of us stayed at Rame Barton for two nights (Tues & Weds) to attend a wedding at nearby Polhawn Fort. Due to emergency maintenance at another local B&B we ended up at Rame Barton as a substitute booking. Karen could not have been more accomodating - she was incredibly helpful over the phone describing the various ferries you could... More

This was about our tenth stay at Rame Barton over the years and every time is better than the last. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated and we always look forward to the sumptuous breakfast - fresh fruit, home made granola, freshly squeezed orange juice, Rame Barton's very own free range eggs and a whole English breakfast that just... We had a lovely spacious very clean room and bathroom . I gave the wrong time of arrival for check in, I received a very polite phone call just checking to see when we would arrive no fuss or bother. I did not realise until check out that I had even booked for single occupancy when their was two of... More

We attended a friends wedding at a nearby fort. We booked the Rame Barton for the Friday and Saturday night after reading reviews and its location close to the venue. All the recent reviews were spot on, the accommodation is first rate with modern facilities in a lovely large converted farmhouse. Form the moment we arrived the proprietor Karen could... More

We attending our friends' wedding at the very nearby Polhawn Fort and booked in at Rame Barton because of its proximity to the venue but I have to say that we would have been happy to stay if we were attending a wedding somewhere further afield. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, light and tastefully decorated. The house itself has more... More

My son was married at Polhorn Fort on 23rd July 2016 and my wife and myself stayed Friday to Monday in a one bed apartment at Rame Barton whilst my brother and his family enjoyed the same period in the two bed apartment. I know that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the location and the short stay and we have all said... More

Perfect is a big word but this Bed and Breakfast comes as close as you are going to get. The rooms are really comfortable and spacious, with fantastically soft and luxurious linen on the beds, we had a incredible night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent and Karen and Paul looked after us really well during our all to brief stay. The... More

We have just spent 2 nights at this amazing B & B. We were fortunate enough to be staying in the Whitsand Apartment. Having had a long 7 hour drive we were warmly welcomed to Rame Barton and show to the apartment. Our delight on stepping inside cannot be put into words. We walked into a lovely hall and 2... More

We stayed here for a few days last weekend. Although we paid for the self catering accommodation, we loved the place so much that we opted to pay a little extra for the English cooked breakfasts too. The quality of the cuisine was top notch! The couple who run RB are chilled out and flexible. The house is beautiful and... More
