A must in Cafayate for travellers who like to be close to the nature in a wonderful property. It is cosy, the owner from Belgium are warm, helpful. The rooms are big and confortable, the breakfast is delicious, especially the yogurt and everything homemade. Walking, riding, swimming in the outdoor pool and resting, one get it all. Merci Anne et...

We spent three nights at la vaca tranquila and enjoyed all of them. Sadly I can't say that about the beers, because there were so many! But the ones I did try were very good :) The farm is very nice, with four (or five?) purpose built rooms on the premises. You can enjoy the farmlife, as the cows, horses...

We stayed here 2 nights and were charmed by the hosts, the spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts, good sized and well maintained swimming pool and the wonderful gardens and mountain views. Everything you could wish for........... just perfect. Useful to be able to use the kitchen facilities too. This is a great find in a peaceful location but only a few...

In Cafayate we had a Burra beer and we liked it. We went all the way to San Carlos, to this Finca to meet the brewer and buy some beers. When we arrived there, no one attended to us. A few persons were sitting on the porch but nobody made clear that he was the owner, so we stood there,...

Wonderful hotel, we arrived in the evening after a long and amazing drive. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely designed and decorated, with beautiful blankets. Anne showed us the hotel including the self-serve fridge with the burra Belgium beer brewed on the premises (sold throughout Argentina and very good!) We took a nice walk through the farm, then played...

I hesitate to recommend this place because I don't want it to always be full. La vaca tranqila manages to be off the beaten track but very accessible and comfortable. You get a really personal touch and Alain and Anne, who run it, take a bit of time to talk to you and then recommend the places they think you...

It is without hesitation that I recommend La Vaca Tranquila. It was a three generation family trip from 20-80 years. We would all be back for the kindness of Anne and Alain, the beauty of the location, the lovely breakfasts, the beer, the great recommendations of what to do in there area and where to eat. We were there only...

Upon first driving to the property and seeing no cars and no people I began to question what I had previously read. My fears were quickly dispelled after meeting our hosts and seeing our room. It was just what we had hoped for: a rural destination with a lovely room, beautiful views and breakfast, including homemade yoghurt and cheese. Its...

You must have a car to experience this lovely Finca, It combines and understated and refined feel just outside the town San Carlos , a small community with its own charms. The farm, brewery and mini-vineyards capture a fantasy that many a sophisticated traveler would delight in experiencing, if only for a day or two. The magnifance of the setting...

We live in Salta, and now and then pop up into the mountains for a short break. If you have the use of a vehicle, La Vaca Tranquila provides an excellent base for a visit to the Valles Calchaquies. It is located just outside San Carlos, a small, friendly and quiet town (1500 pop.), founded by the Jesuits in 1630....
