We have just returned from this resort, where we spent one night. Disappointing. First of all, since this is the low season the resort was effectively closed down. The restaurant was closed (no breakfast provided, no dinner available). The swimming pool was extremely dirty, with mold and huge worms floating inside. They still charged us 40 USD per room though, and they didn't provide a receipt when asked. To be fair, the rooms were spacious and almost clean (we got two rooms, one of bathrooms' floors was covered in dead flies). BUT the door to both rooms didn't lock from the outside, so we could not lock it when we left. And from inside, you could only lock it using the key which is attached to the device to turn the electricity on in the room - so at night it was quite difficult to lock a door with no light on. There was no hot water in the shower. Overall, the resort was quite simple (not the luxury place that the photos suggest), but a) it should not have been open to guests when no services were available and b) it was definitely not worth 40 USD per night.…
I was denied to cross the gate, because of my appearance, the owner said the resort is closed, and after saying my nationality she decided to allow us to go in, if I were a white male probably she wouldn't reject us. Anyways, the place looks abandoned, I have no idea why they are listing the hotel on booking sites.
We highly recommend this to you and yours for a soothing stay. This is a welcoming relaxed earthy set up like a village in Cambodia but top class with landscaped orchids, ferns and tropical gardens everywhere the infinity swimming pool is in excellent condition and maintained daily. The staff will do any thing to provide best service even restock his bar for us and provide a new DVD player too. The biggest DVD collection estimate 600 I have seen outside a DVD store. The ones we selected no scratches either. Freshly cooked Khmer meals too to our request.
Been to Koh Kong many times and stayed at Oasis twice, mostly recently 4 nights in February 2018. The bungalows and resort are excellent value for the price. Oasis is located slightly out of town close to the rivers and mangroves, which means you can escape the heat dirt and dusty of quirky Koh Kong. The infinity pool is a beautiful place to chill. The owner Jason is one of the most obliging, informative, kind and helpful people you could hope to meet. Nothing is too much trouble. If you feel any way otherwise, I respectfully suggest you have some issues to deal with that might benefit from some therapy. All this adds up to a place that exudes very positive energy. You will leave revived and refreshed!
Had an amazing couple of nights at Oasis Bungalows. It's easy to relax by the pool or head off on jungle trek to find hidden waterfalls. The owner goes above and beyond for his guests and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Koh Kong Provence after living there for more then 13 years. Great bungalows, great pool, delicious food. Can't wait to return!
Only stayed one Night, but would have loved to stay here for longer. It is a real oasis with a lovely and a very cozy bar area - it got a homey feel. But the best is the owner Jason, he is a such a nice person, really informative and attentive, even though he runs the whole place by himself. I would definetely recommend this place to anyone.
Truly a Beautifull peacefull oasis ..set amongst the cardamom mountains and the mangroves in a very intrestingbcommune of a mix of local Khmer carrying out there every day life most Intresting setting just out of town a real insight into every day life and a great place to set of and explore the stunning local wildlife mangroves jungles and mountains all within walking cycling or more importantly by boat straight from the oasis resort ..information and every last detail is obtained from Mr Jason the resort owner who I can't say how helpfully and welcome he made me feel my best and most rewarding stay in Cambodia oasis and koh Kong are amazing
We had a wonderful stay in Oasis Bungalow Resort, Jason is a perfect host, by far the most helpful and interesting person we’ve met during our 15 day trip in Cambodia! PS: we loved the pool, really refreshing after a jungle trekking (which you can book at Oasis as well)
Jason is the Oasis resort. He does almost everything by himself, he is a one man army! Never met such a nice resort owner, one of a kind. Koh Kong city itself is not all that specacular, especially when it rains, but Jason made up for it. Jason helps out with everything and also explained us a lot about how Cambodia works, how the people think and which places to go to. The resort has 5 basic bungalows which surround a nice pool. Decent meals are being served. If you do come to Koh Kong City, certainly book a room at Oasis and meet up with Jason!
Fantastic resort with beautiful infinity pool and gardens ..and amazing views of the cardamom mountain range with a direct route from the resort to the most amazing scenery along the river to the foot of the cardamons where resturants and waterfalls can be found .one of my most fav places in the world truly beautiful...the resort is also very much a highlight along with its staff and most knowledgeable and interesting owner Mr Jason webb ..amazing cocktails and food shouldn't be missed x
