The Palms Turks and Caicos is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, complete with live entertainment and a serene ambiance, although it could benefit from some updates. The hotel's cleanliness earns high marks, with housekeeping being particularly lauded. Despite its advantageous location near the beach, guests have called out the property for lacking value, citing overpriced services and unsatisfactory dining options.
While the luxurious amenities, including the beautiful beach and pools, are popular, inconsistent service at these sites has been noted. Rooms are generally spacious and aesthetically pleasing, yet some may require maintenance and modernization. Service quality appears to fluctuate, leading to mixed guest experiences.

Detailed Reviews
As someone who has traveled to 50+countries and have stayed at numerous amazing hotels, I had very high expectations going into this holiday.
The Palms absolutely exceeded my expectations. From my first dealings with Solomon Dormeus on the phone, and the Manager Jeff Morgan, their exceptional customer service set a tone for the rest of the trip.
The driver of the shuttle, was so kind and personable. The young man who greeted us with a delicious refreshing drink on our arrival to the palms and took us on an informative tour was kind, informative and ever so joyful. ( he is the young man heading to Uni in the UK in August).
Each member of staff from the hardworking housekeeping team, gardening staff, restaurant, bar and beach greeted us such kindness without fail. The joyful mood at the resort was as a result of the efforts of each staff member.
The lovely woman at the beach bar went way out of her way to ensure I got a drink that that ran out of.
The women at the breakfast buffet knew we had one coffee with milk and one tea. The service was exceptional.
The resort itself is beautiful. The rooms were spotless, the ceiling fans kept the room cooled down making the AC unnecessary.
The bathrooms are huge, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the Nespresso coffee was a wonderful touch.
The beach is perfection. The sand so soft, the water so turquoise and warm. Lots of sun chairs. The beach was uncrowded.
We had dinner at the restaurant by the pool. The pumpkin risotto was beyond delicious.
The pool is kept pristinely clean and it is wonderful. Evening swims under the stars in an empty pool was so joyful.
I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and the resort itself. Our time at the Palms and swimming in that glorious water will be a memory held dear, and recalled each February when the snow flies.
Thank you to everyone at The Palms for all your efforts. They made such a difference!

We spent 5 nights at the Palms in early February. We were in building 3, with our balcony overlooking the garden (breakfast space). Overall our stay was wonderful.
We truly enjoyed the beach in front of the hotel, chair service was always wonderful and helpful, we never had to rush out to get seats on the beach which was appreciated. The complimentary water was a nice touch, and the pool is huge, the hot tub was pretty great too!
We never ate/drank at the resort due to prices just being so high, and we were able to find tons of wonderful locations on the island with delicious food.
We were very glad to have a car, we never had a problem parking anywhere and were able to explore many parts of the island.
We utilized the tennis court which was in great condition (we had our own balls and rackets) but apparently there are some available at the front desk as well if you don't want to bring yours.
Breakfast buffet was quite nice, a great way to start the morning.
Every staff member we ever interacted with was so kind, friendly and helpful.

The Palms is perfect. The architecture and decor are exquisite.
We came for my birthday, and without even asking for an upgrade, we were given a one-bedroom / 1.5 bathroom suite with a view of the pool and ocean.
On our last night, I had a cold, and the hotel went out and got me cough drops because the gift shop was out.
I am so impressed with this hotel. I have stayed at many fine hotels, and this one is top notch.
No detail is overlooked. The closets are large and well lit. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, including a blender. There are books in the kitchen cupboard in case you forgot something to read. The living room and bedroom are huge and extremely comfortable. Wifi is strong. Washer and dryer in the half bath is great.
Turndown service is really nice. Each night, chocolates and water bottles were placed on our nightstands, and slippers were placed by the bed.
Having complimentary access to the spa on the day we left was fantastic. It made it possible for us to spend the whole day at the beach.
Getting a front row seat at the beach can be challenging if you don't arrive before 9:30am (people start saving seats at 6:30am). Luckily, Floyd Forbes, a pool/beach attendant, was there to help us set up our chairs, adding cushions to make them more comfortable.
Taxis to the supermarket and nearby restaurants are $5 per person each way. One night we went to Mango Reef and were shocked that it cost $36 to go 2.4 miles and back. Expect to spend $100+ for every meal, on or off the resort.

We had a wonderful 7 days at the Palms Hotel in Turks and Caicos. This is a small boutique hotel which gives it a special “charming” feel. It is on the older side but everything is well kept and maintained. Grounds, gardens, beach and pool are FABULOUS. It is a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. We had a basic room but it was very large and came with a great balcony. We over looked palm trees but it was peaceful and pretty. Room is dated but in good condition. Housekeeping did an amazing job each day and the best part is the hotel has turn down service!
ALL of the workers were helpful, friendly and very attentive. There were always lounge chairs available at both the pool and the beach-never had a problem getting a chair. The pool and beach staff get 5 Stars!!!
This hotel is in a great location on the beach but in terms of being close to anything you must take a taxi (which are expensive!). There are a few hotels like the Ritz, Seven Stars etc that are on a small shopping strip near the Supermarket (much better to purchase alcohol and snacks-hotel is extremely expensive), and a bunch of restaurants. So if you prefer to be closer to “Town” this hotel is a 5 minute taxi ride (~$12 one way for two people). We rode the free bikes (old but work well) one day to the supermarket but that is really the furthest you can safely go on a bike. The hotel does not tell you there is a free shuttle to The Sands at Grace Bay (Hemingway’s) and to the Shore Club.
The free breakfast could be improved especially with COVID. It would be much better if someone served the food versus everyone touching it themselves. The outside seating is very tranquil but the food had a large amount of flies and many times hair was found inside the food. I know it was free but it needs to be a bit cleaner. They have American Breakfast basics such as bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pancakes/French toast, toast, fruit, yogurt and an omelet station.
We had delicious dinners at Mango Reef, Las Brisas, Hemingway’s, Da Conch Shack (Wednesday Nights), Bella Luna and a snack (nachos) at Somewhere. The Thursday BBQ at the Palms was just ok, there are much better restaurants for a better value. The live music is someone lip singing to music.
Overall we enjoyed the stay, the Island and the BEACH. We hope to come back.

A friend and I traveled here for 5 nights. This resort is absolutely beautiful. We traveled in May 2021 so still during COVID. We had to get tested before arriving. Every spot we went to required masks as well as you sanitize your hands before entering. On the resort, masks are barely used. In cabs, and off the resort they do require you enter and walk around with a mask on unless you are seated and eating/drinking. The resort and everyone working there is fantastic.
Once we arrived on day 1, our bedsheets had a concerning red stain on them therefore we called and requested that they change the sheets and they sent someone up to our room to take a picture of the stain on the sheets before calling housekeeping to change the sheets.
In addition, the shower handle kept falling out, the toilet roll holder also broke and wouldn't stay on properly.
We were a little upset that we paid so much for our stay here and things were falling apart on us but it was not the end of the world or enough to deter us from returning or recommending this resort to others.
The room was overall very nice, very clean and well kept aside from the few issues. The blackout blinds in the rooms are amazing because it truly kept the room dark until 11am although the sun was out and shining!
Employees are extremely friendly and helpful.
The food was also beyond delicious! We loved eating at the restaurants on the resort!
Everything is extremely pricey but it was expected. There was also a 15% service charge added onto our bills for us when we went. I definitely recommend visiting this spot!

The resort itself is nice, very clean and the hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. I found the resort and island very quiet in regards to night life (bars/restaurants all close pretty early around 10-11pm). Our room was spacious and always well taken care of. Overall the food and drinks were pretty good, generally pricey, but the island as a whole is expensive. The only thing that I would say was the policy on smoking was pretty restrictive. It's not necessarily a bad thing, I don't personally smoke myself, but we had a couple people in our group who liked to have a cigar at night but were told generally to stay on their balcony. Most resorts I've been to have a small section for people for that reason. We wanted to be courteous to people in their rooms and didn't want to make too much noise on the balconies for those who were sleeping. The beach and pool were beautiful though. Really enjoyed those areas. Overall I'd give our experience a 4/5.

Visited this resort with my husband, sister and her husband. The resort is top notch. Everyone who passed by you, greeted you. All employees were concerned with making sure that everything was okay. We had the breakfast buffet included in our stay - well worth it. The towel area employees were on top of helping you secure your seats and making sure you had what you needed. Housekeeping was right on top of our rooms, cleaning them early in the day. Was an absolutely wonderful experience - highly recommend

The absolute worst and unprofessional service staff I have ever seen in my 45 years of extensive travel around the world. most of them walking around with their cell phones in their hands. They had no clue of what they were doing. I couldn't turn on the lights in the room, called housekeeping and as no one showed up, I had to fix the problem myself. At breakfast, I asked for a spoon for the cereals and the person on staff, just picked the spoon from the raisins bowl, pushed the raisins into the bowl with his fingers and handed me the spoon.
Furthermore, a parenthesis, my friends and I were held up at gun point in a nearby restaurant and the management didn't even bother reaching out to us to see how we were.
At almost $600 per night, these guys are a joke.
BTW, beware of going out of the hotel. Dangerous island.

First the positives. The rooms, pool, beach, grounds and facilities are excellent and the staff are attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed it more than the Seven Stars which we like and have been to many times. A breakfast buffet is included in the rate and is also very good with really nice staff.
Now the issue which may keep us from returning. Penthouse guests receive a personal butler which is not unusual.
What is unusual is that the butlers reserve chairs at the pool and beach, whether their clients show up or not. Around 10 chairs were permanently reserved in a prime beach location for the 3 days we were there and only once did we see a lady and her daughter using any of the chairs and that was for about 20 minutes. I know because we spend all day on the beach.
I don't mind reserving chairs for guests who pay more, but not if they never use the chairs! To be fair to the regular pool and beach attendants are excellent and agreed that empty reserve chairs are silly. I even had an attendant arguing on our behalf with a butler, but butlers rule the property!
When I pointed out to the night manager that such a policy was wasteful and discriminatory he agreed and said that they should not discriminate against some guests in favour of others, but they do on an institutionalized basis!
So now we have to decide whether we should come back to this resort and fight the butlers or go back to the Seven Stars which may not be quite as nice but does not have such a silly policy!

The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Staff was helpful and friendly. Maid service came twice a day with fresh towels and water bottles. Cold water bottles are provided at beach but I preferred to be more green and had my own insulated bottle filled at the bar a few times a day. The property is immaculate and the beach is gorgeous. The color of the water is stunning and the water is warm. The sand isn’t hot to walk on. The gym is immaculate and has all the equipment you could need. There was some weird piped in music property wide (I mean EVERYWHERE!) which I found intolerable but they graciously turned down the volume per our request. Can’t wait to return. Five stars all the way. Forgot to mention the breakfast is awesome and lunch poolside also very good.
