We only staryed for a night, the service is outstanding and the staff is really nice, from the front desk clerk to the waiters and the masseuses at the spa, it's usually pretty crowded during weekends I'll recommend to reserve ahead of time, the place where this hotel is located is charming and full of little places to eat, remember everything closes a little early if you need to go to the town to get beverages or food. The room has everything you need, a little minibar with beverages from soft drinks, beer, coolers, chocolates, cookies and so on. Ours have a tub in the shower, the food in the dining area was good. Don't miss the opportunity to take a massage and use the steam room.
A cell phone was stolen from our room by the person who checked to see if the room was in order upon check out. The front desk staff would not cooperate with us to get it back. The hotel staff needs training in hospitality and trustworthiness.
It was our second time in this hotel. And it has been improved since our first visit 10 years ago. Three meals are included in the price you pay per person per room; food is mainly Mexican style with different options everyday if buffet is available or they are cook in the moment when a la carte. You get to pay extra if you ask for any alcoholic drinks. Rooms are big enough for a family of four, with two double beds and even a sofa bed, and every room has a tub that you could fill with thermal water if you are not comfortable with using any of the pools
We arrived at noon but weren't allowed into our room until 3pm.Despite only about 20% occupancy and the room being ready. We were allowed to use the pool facilities while we waited but without a room to change in we had to take our suitcase poolside and change in the public bathroom!(In hindsight we could have left our stuff in the car and changed in the car park!!) When we finally did check-in the receptionist had a face like thunder and seemed annoyed. We were finally shown to our room and then I had to bring all our stuff up from the pool myself- No help from the staff (although he did hang around waiting for a tip-awkward). Poor building design made for excellent acoustics. The slightest sound was amplified and echoed all around the acommodation.Didn't sleep a wink, it was like sleeping in an echo chamber! Guests above us decided to drag the furniture around at midnight, it sounded like an earthquake in our room. Service was poor or non-existent.Housekeeping staff were noisy and even banged on our door despite having the "Do not disturb" sign displayed. No pool service.Had to walk the entire length of the hotel to the bar to order anything. Then it took 30 mins to arrive (We had only ordered 2 beers). Spa was closed the whole time we were there except for the morning we checked out when we didn't have time.Kind of defeated the point of visiting a spa hotel!! Only 2 wait staff in the restaurant so service was slow.Even though there were only 3 tables to serve!Food was meh :/ Basically we left more tired and stressed than when we arrived.... I would not recommend staying here.…
This is a beautiful location & a great concept. The rooms each have a tub you can fill with with thermal water, and it’s fast! The beds are small but comfortable. It’s clean. I was personally disappointed with the spa. The massages are very reasonable, but it took them a long time to find something to massage me with that wasn’t heavily perfumed. They also mislabel what they do as aromatherapy. There are no essential oils involved. But overall, great deal!
