Mi Casareyna es su Casareyna! The famous Mexican hospitality to strangers (“My house is your house”), is wonderfully evident at Casareyna Hotel in Puebla. Its location is great — an easy walk from the charming neighborhoods of the old city. Guest rooms are large, and beautifully appointed with artful furnishings. Friendly staff at the front desk and in restaurants are cheerfully quick to fulfill any request. And, to top things off at this most comfortable of hotels, an open-air pool and hot tub on the roof is the perfect way to end the day. When in Puebla, act like a Poblano … at Casareyna!

Whilst the hotel is beautiful to look at, and rooms are fitted to a high standard, this all feels rather pointless when it’s impossible to get a good nights sleep. The noise in this hotel is relentless and distracting, from rooms nearby and corridors. The noise carries so much.

When we walked in, we knew this was a wonderful hotel. The staff that greeted us at the front desk were warm, friendly and helpful (as were all of the staff that we met during our stay). Our standard king room was huge, comfortable and had loads of storage. The bathroom was large and had a spa feel. The room was quiet, had good air conditioning and had a comfortable bed. Lastly, the restaurant was very good - we had dinner as well as all breakfasts at the restaurant - food and service were very good. We highly recommend.

We didn't stay at the hotel but we went for dinner and the food was excellent with great service as always. I couldn't help myself and I started walking around the place and everything is decorated with traditional ceramics. They also have a small shop full of pieces for you to buy and take home.

Stayed 4 nights in a beautiful master suite We were in Mexico City and approached the hotel to see if they could arrange our return transfer. They were brilliant. Special thanks to Ricardo and Rodolfo- very professional. Day 1 didn’t start too well as the check in wasn’t allowed until 3pm when lots of other guests also expected to have their room. Our bags finally reached our room at 3.33pm. The room was gorgeous with a massive beautiful bathroom. Beautifully decorated. We had a great view as lucky to be on the third floor. Unfortunately the phone didn’t work and the bathroom had 1/3rd of a roll of toilet paper. As soon as we told reception they really apologised and sent 2 people to our room. The issues were sorted very quickly. It was a shame that some guests in a room nearby had a yappy dog. (But it’s a pet friendly hotel) We really appreciated the beautiful master suite, despite being woken by the yappy dog at 8.30 the following day. Puebla is a magnificent historic area and the hotel is in a fabulous location. To get your bearings : Visit the gym - it’s on the roof- you don’t need to go in !! It has a running track - no one was using it so we had a walk around, absolutely super rooftop views. The restaurant is absolutely massive and seems to be permanently full. We were lucky to be able to book a table in the restaurant which was amazing. Each day I went for a swim in the small but perfect pool. Splendid views, peace and quiet and heated. 10 sunbeds but rarely used. The spa area was very well presented and maintained. We did try to order some drinks on the QR code but failed. The decor, quality and artwork in the hotel is stunning. You feel like you have really immersed yourself in Puebla. There is a very tiny supermarket across the road and a small number of shops and restaurants. On our final day we had a wow looking out from our bedroom window at the volcano

Beautiful architecture. The site of this hotel is a renovated site by renowned architect Ricardo Legorreta, if you stay here take time to stroll around the patios and appreciate how he integrated the old and the new. This is a boutique hotel with nice rooms renovated in a minimalist Mexican style. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, good beds and showers. The food in the restaurant is not to be missed with a lot of traditional cuisine at very affordable prices, I would recommend making a reservation as the it is very popular with locals. Staff are very professional and efficient.

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are also spacious. The hotel is well-located, close to the Zócalo, shops, museums, churches and restaurants. One of the things I particularly liked was that there was a list of channels in the room so you didn't have to go searching for what you were interested in seeing. The wi-fi is hit and miss, however. It is sometimes fast while at other times you can't connect to anything. The hotel is also a bit confusing to navigate. A map would have been helpful. We were told that the restaurant was one of the best in Puebla so we went there the first night after arriving. We were disappointed. The service was slow and our food came out cold. They also made mistakes on our bill and they were very stingy with the alcohol in our drinks, but they came with a big price. The pros far outweigh the cons though and we would highly recommend the hotel.

Beautiful property, helpful staff, and nice restaurant on site. Most importantly, though, the room was large, airy, peaceful, and comfortable (LOVED the bed) with a wonderful bathroom—the tub was great for a soak after the bush days. I needed to get some work done, and the WiFi was fast (do wish there was an outlet in the desk area though). The pool area is great, and the rooftop jogging track is a nice touch. A short walk to everything in the city center. The only hiccup I had was with the room service app, which seemed to register my order, but it never went through; not a big deal though. Will definitely be rebooking if I return to Puebla.
