Guests have said~while staying at Casona Rosa they have the feeling they're in a private hide-out of Frida Kahlo. Casona Rosa is an inn just two blocks from the main street and Morelia's famous pink cathedral. It is a romantic, intimate place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are 4 suites each with private bathroom; plus 1 large room with king size bed and in suite bathroom; access to a fully-equipped kitchen; plus several in and outdoor sitting areas. The suites are situated around an outdoor patio area for relaxing. Much attention was paid to decorating each suite with locally made art and handcrafts. Check out our Facebook page (Casona Rosa, Morelia) and the FB group page The Magic of Michoacan for updates on the latest Casona and Morelia happenings. Enjoy and "Viva la vida!"

First of all...it's all about location...and the location Rose chose couldn't be better. It's a short walk to the best of Morelia and easy to access by car. When you are preparing for your day of exploring this beautiful city, Rose and her staff will make sure your day is off to a great start with a beautiful breakfast and a wealth of information of what you should see. The rooms have modern amenities yet maintain the charm of period architecture and native decor. When you visit Morelia, there should be no other consideration for lodging! Viva Rose!

I only stayed one night at Casona Rosa but will be back as often as I can. I was in the area to look for a full-time rental in the nearby city of Patzcuaro and Rose offered to accompany me there to look. As you can see she goes beyond the definition of hospitality and being helpful! The B&B is what Rose calls “funky”, a wonderfully colourful and eclectic place with decor collected from around Michoacan. Sweet Lupe made a breakfast of fresh fruit, granola and crema, scrambled eggs and toast. Masks and social distancing measures were followed always. (And I found a rental so will be moving to the area soon!)

I live in San Miguel De Allende MX considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. When I want to get away I go to my home away from home. Casona Rosa. It is a wonderful place to relax meet wonderful people and of course the lovely Rose is always there orchestrating everything. It is a treasure. Very close to Centro with all its wonderful restaurants in charm . I am looking forward to going back soon.

The thing I love most about B&B´s is that, for a full-time traveler like me, they have a true homie feel. You can get comfy and cozy in the best beds. Hotels feel so cold and fake. Rose and Lupe make this place feel like a real home away from home and give the best recommendations and advice for your stay in the city. Bonus, the place is like an art museum of all of Michoacan's most famous. Oh and double bonus, it's located mere blocks from the cathedral

I spent a wonderful week at Casona Rosa. The location is perfect in El Centro. The rooms are wonderfully appointed ..each individual, colorful and containing interesting local art. Rose’s courtyard garden is lush and green...a haven in the city! Rose the owner is delightful and a wealth of information. This was my second stay with her. Everything I could ask for in a BnB!
