The introduction was a little strange, but why not. The hotel is a rather big building with an attached restaurant, which is separate from the hotel (as we were told many times). We stayed in a good room. However, we would have liked to have stayed in a room with a view over the harbour rather than to the back of the hotel. A little strange considering we booked about four month ahead. The restaurant offered nice food. On arrival there was nobody in the reception. Instead we picked a phone up and were given our room number. A rather strange experience. When leaving the hotel we managed to pay the hotel bill to one of the cleaners.

The Runavik hotel is a well appointed and welcoming hotel. The staff is very kind and friendly. The free breakfast is very good. The rooms while quite basic are clean and well maintained. The view of the harbour and surrounding hills is astounding.

nice Hotel with new refurbished bedrooms, at least the rooms on the ground floor. (where I stayed) Dont know about the other rooms. What I did not like at all was the smell in the public areas of the Hotel coming from the kitchen. Other then that, the lady at the reception was very nice and helpful. Due to lack of other Hotels, it is definately over priced

We are sorry to say this, but we were really disappointed in this hotel. When we arrived for check-in, the staff didn't know much as they gave us two single rooms but we booked for a family of 4. After meeting 3 different people, we finally received the correct rooms. The matresses were bad: only a layer of springs with a thin cover on top. During our stay, they didn't even clean our rooms. Besides, the staff wasn't friendly at all. As we adressed the lack of cleaning, the lady of the hotel even tried to deny it. On top, she wasn't willing to offer any solution to a problem we had with the booking. Nonetheless, the breakfast was good, but that's the only positive point.

Hav been visiting this hotel for three years now. Always looking forward to taste the famous fish soup in the restaurant. This alone is worth the trip. Don’t forget the breakfast, standard but a lot of local food. The staff is very friendly. Room is standard, nice and clean. If you ever plan to go to Faroe Islands I will really recommend this hotel. Far better price than in the city of Torshavn.
