First of all. Our second visit. Loved it like we did on our last visit 5 years ago! We were able to use facilities beforehand until our van was ready at 3pm so we went swimming (which we had booked 24 hours in advance). Stunning location. Tranquil beach (very pebbly but beautiful) amenities on site are fabulous. The new park was a absolute hit for our two year old. The splash pad, soft play, arcade, restaurant and crazy golf are all huge huge hits with us! Only downside was that we booked a budleigh premier 2 which does state 6-8 birth. However, upon arrival, it was clear it wasn’t what we expected. There was myself and hubby, my parents and a two year old. Ladram had taken a bed out the twin room ready for the cot which i requested but i was expecting two twin rooms like many other parks we’ve stayed at this year . We had a separate wc and a family bathroom which was great but my parents had nowhere to sleep except on the sofa bed in living room. I think the listing is rather misleading stating 6-8 birth. If we had of had 7/8 people in our party, im intrigued to know where they would have slept in there. Anyway, luckily we spoke with a wonderful lady called lynn on reception. She spoke to her manager and we ended up getting a bigger caravan and just paying a bit extra (but still with a generous discount). We were so pleased. The manager even let us look around it before we decided on anything further which we thought was really nice of him. I think the listing for the budleigh premier 2 is misleading but we fully appreciate the help and quick response by lynn and the manager. Another downside was there was no vacuum in the caravan, no towels and only one toilet roll (which for a two toilet accommodation seemed strange) but thats minor and didn’t dampen our holiday of course. Towels would have been nice as i say, previous accommodation this year at other parks have supplied at least one bath towel per person. All in all, ladram is a new firm family favourite now and we hope to make so more amazing holiday memories there in the future. Were just sorry we’ve had to come home 😜…
Where to start. Firstly I am so pleased I found this absalute fantastic site on line. Didnt think it could be any better than the photos but oh yes it was The photos dont do it justice. The site is not that easy to get too if your not used to very narrow lanes towing a van but honestly it was fine and well worth it when you pull in and see the view. Was welcomed by a great guy on security where he got a gentleman to take our van to our pitch. Never had this done before but was a nice gesture. We were on the top row of the Ridges and the views were fantastic. The site has everything you could need. A shop, chippy, restaurant, pub, and it's own private beach. The shop had everything you could need and not over priced. The chippy is a must to go to. Chips are lovely. As for the restaurant (Pebbles) the steak especially was gorgeous. Ate here a few times portions are big and food lovely and hot. The people serving were always lovely and polite. When you go down to the beach there is also a beach hut to buy food and drink. Bacon butties a must and icecream to share is just wow. Staff there always happy and chatty. The Waves Bar where you can play Bingo (won twice) also has entertainment each night. A big shout out to them (Emily your voice is amazing). Also on site swimming pool , play area and amusements. Cant comment on these as didnt use. The site is clean and kept well. A big thank you to EVERY member of staff working there you are all a credit to Ladrem. Always working hard and all happy and polite. Will we be returning. ? 100% YES. Thank you for a fab 2 weeks. 🌞…
We stayed here for four nights in one of the lodges and had the best week! We arrived earlier than planned but our lodge was already cleaned and ready for us to check in. There is something for everyone on site (play area, indoor pool with outdoor splash zone, arcades, soft play, crazy golf, kayaking and more). The on site shop was handy for us, selling much more than just your typical essentials. The food at Pebbles restaurant was good and the portions were huge! Everywhere looked clean and well maintained as well. We're already looking at booking for September next year!
I'll start by saying this isn't our normal type of holiday. Usually we go abroad but decided for a British holiday this year. We had a Seaview Apartment which are situated very close to everything on site. Apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Food in the pebbles restaurant is excellent, yes it's not cheap but you get what you pay for. All staff friendly and helpful and the entertainment team at night work really hard to entertain both children and adults. The location itself is stunning. Beautiful pebbled beach with kayaks, paddle boards and boats to hire. The lads down there are very helpful. Very nice sandy beach 20 minute drive up the road in Exmouth. I have read several negative reviews on here from dog owners. Really need to get a grip. It's a holiday park with lots of children, not everybody wants a dog running around them all day. The parks policy of not letting dogs on the beach is spot on in my opinion. Ladram Bay is a little diamond which I would highly recommend especially to people with young families.…
We booked this resort to stay in our motorhome, paying a lot of money because of the wonderful sea view reviews. Please be advised that you get wonderful sea views if you are allocated an uninterrupted sea view. Unfortunately, we were allocated a pitch and had a view of the caravan on the sea view pitch in front of us 😔 We were refused a drink from the bar (to take outside and sit on the outside garden seating) until after 6pm as we hadn't booked a table to eat food. We had no telephone signal and no WiFi access (despite being given a password from the well hidden and locked Reception area). We won't be returning and won't be recommending. Really disappointed. A Positive review though for Dan (who showed us to our pitch) who was smiley and welcoming.
