Very friendly owner, quite place with beautiful mountain view. You can sit on terrace enjoy beautiful view, and drink Costa Rician rum with friendly people. Downtown is 7 minutes by bus to hostel. Good kitchen equipment, shop near the hostel is open till 12pm. We tried 3 hostels in San Jose during our stay, but Casa Areka was absolutely best.
