Hotel is situated in the middle between Alesund airport in Vigra and Alesund city itself. Appr. 10 minutes drive to airport, taxi cost 230 NOK ( better pre-book in advance ). Being in middle of nowhere, hotel is situated in building, which have multi-function purpose - there is supermarket, canteen, bus station and hotel in same building. Rooms are basic, limited supply of toiletries. Good breakfast. Acceptable for short overnight stay before early flight. Reception doesn't work at night.

I stayed in this hotel from 16 May to 20 May 2024 on holidays with friends. Very clean and spacious rooms with comfortable bed and two sets of plllows -one very fluffy and. other one thick pillow which I never experienced anywhere else in Europe and North America . Breakfast was good with a choice of cereal ,tea, coffee and juice , bread , fresh fruits and yoghurt- nice and filling. Friendly and helpful staff with a welcoming smile . Good value for money. I will stay again on my next trip to Norway.

Thank you for great hospitality. We had great stay. Breakfast was yummy and staff was very nice. Reception staff was very cute and helpful. Must recommended hotel in Alesund. Rooms were very clean and bed were comfortable. Great location as well. Easy access to airport and city centre. Thank you for comfortable stay.

If I could give this place a zero I would. Old, room the size of a shoebox, old food left in the fridge and the tv doesn’t work. They said they’d have someone here in twenty minutes to look at it but it’s been nearly an hour and there’s no sign of anyone. I’d call reception but there’s no phone in the room either. No care factor whatsoever. I would never stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here one night on our 12 day trip. We were looking for a hotel close to the airport because we came in late by car and had to leave early on a flight. We came in at 8 pm and had to drop off a rental car at the airport. After we checked in, my husband dropped off the car and took a taxi back to the hotel. It was a 10 minute ride. We also took a taxi to the airport in the morning which the hotel arranged for us. The bus stop to the airport was literally right outside of the hotel but the times of our arrival and departure was outside of the bus timetables. The hotel is above a supermarket. On the ground floor was a supermarket and a small restaurant which was also where we checked in. We took an elevator upstairs which opened into a large center lobby with sofas and a morning coffee station. All hotel room doors open to the lobby. Rooms were basic and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent. Not as good as other hotels in Norway but decent for the cost. There’s not much else in the general area. We ate dinner in town before we got there. WiFi was strong and better then other hotels. We were given passwords to use it. Like I said, this hotel meet our needs for that night.

Price and quality of rooms in main building and Annex building are quite different. The staff at the reception also serve the only bar/restaurant at this hotel. So, service level is acceptable. Location is not a problem if you drive.

We made all our bookings thourgh Booking.com for a different hotel each night in the Western Fjords in Norway. This was the only one which could not find our booking though the check in person remembered it being on the system previously. Anyway, luckily they had plenty of space. We had a room by the bus terminus but slept soundly - there were no noise issues. Very convenient for our early flight but not too early for the very good breakfast.

The location close to the airport was the main reason for staying here. Our flight was at 06:30am the next morning and this was a simple option. The annex, or "mini hotel" was a separate building, which we were happy about. Our room opened up to the grassy area that allowed us to re-pack, lay out & clean our camping gear to prep for our flight out of Norway. The Wifi was strong and the shower had good water pressure, my wife said. The area is quiet and the main building housed a small grocery and food bar - everything you need was nearby. The only knock - the rooms in the the annex, or "mini hotel" were small with only twin beds, but not a problem for 1 night.

Stayed here for 1 night as my plans changed and it was the only reasonable price accommodation left.
Accommodation is clean and comfortable with a lovely big bathroom and heated floors.
Tasty breakfast included in my booking.
Little random setup as it's located on a different island to Alesund city centre and a different island to the airport. Also located on top of a shop.
10 min bus ride from Alesund city on busses that only run a few times a day and don't start till 1pm on Sunday. This was a bit of s nightmare to say the least.
I would only recommend staying here if you have a car purely because of the location. Not ideal to commute in and out of Alesund.
Accommodation is nice if you have a car to get around.

This hotel offers the basic necessities... If you're looking for a budget hotel, I think this should work okay for you. But, it is not close to downtown Ålesund (30 minute drive). The hotel itself was clean but pretty aged and you could feel the coils in the beds. That said, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was far better than I expected. If you can afford it, I would recommend staying at one of the hotels in downtown Ålesund where there are several restaurants and nice sights to see. All you can see from the hotel here is the Kiwi.

There's a bus that goes to the airport that's fairly frequent. A timetable chart in waiting area of the hotel will help you but make sure to check with the locals that shop in the supermarket.
Or you can tell the hotel staff to order a taxi for you the night before. They're pretty helpful, even if a bit clueless.
There are more places to choose from in the Skjong area.
