Our small group went for lunch, not knowing what to expect, wondering where the heck our driver was taking us. Azienda Fontanasalsa is a working olive farm, exporting to some of the best restaurants in the world. Lunch was a grand variety of local foods, prepared in the kitchen adjacent to the dinning area (so we could watch), and everything...

We spent two weeks in Sicily in the beginning of November 2015. The second week was spent in Trapani and it was recommended for us to take a tour and visit. Colette was amazing! her detailed explanation of how they produce the top notch olive oil was superior. She is so thorough and patient and really took her time. When...

Just occasionally you stay in a place where the character leaves indelible memories. Azienda Fontana Salsa is run by a formidable, larger than life character Colette. We arrived by bicycle on a fearsomely hot afternoon and were immediately ushered into the cool under grape vines in the courtyard and plied with refreshments. Dinners and breakfasts were superb, although I preferred...

This was one of our absolute favorite stops on our recent trip to Italy. Our group of 4 was warmly welcomed to this beautiful, working olive oil farm/factory and immediately serenaded with music in their quaint and charming courtyard. This felt like the quintessential Sicilian experience. Lunch was extraordinary and complemented by the delicious oils presented by Colette. Her English...

As a bus group from a cruise ship, we came to this agrifarm tourist place to learn about olive oil, taste the different kinds of olive oil, and to have lunch. This farm, located about 30 minutes from Trapani, was set up to accommodate large groups such as ours. There was a large outdoor patio with a grape shaded loggia,...

We stayed here one night. I found in internet this place and I had a lot of expectations. It's everything in perfect Sicilian style, it seems to go back to begin of 20th century entering in this place. Room is comfortable, we had a double shower, a big room with window on olive trees and breakfast was good, but in...

We stopped by for an olive oil tasting and lunch as part of our tour of Sicily. This was definitely one of the highlights. The staff was incredibly warm and hospitable. Our lunch was one of our top Sicilian meals. I would highly recommend based on our experience.

If you like staying in an agriturismo, you will love here. It was without doubt the most interesting place we stayed in in Sicily. Slightly quirky, but a welcoming atmosphere, absolutely superb food if you are just prepared to go with their suggestions. Our room was so comfortable, even if the shower had it's own built in light display. The...

A delightful stay, great adventure & highly recommended. We received a very warm welcome at this working farm with coffee & cake (& a guitarist played & sang for us) even though our hostess was in the middle of preparing for the arrival of a large party who were coming to learn how to make & then eat pizza, couscous...

“All rooms are upstairs I believe. The two highlights of our front corner room ("Bella di Cerignola".. . rooms go by names rather than #'s as far as I could tell) were (1) space (room and bathroom are very good-sized), (2) true double shower with great water pressure, and (3) great cross views and cross-breezes to go with it (including the large bathroom window, windows on 3 sides).”
