This was our second trip to the Cabo area and our second stay at the Viceroy Los Cabos. Again it did not disappoint!! It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and luxurious places to stay. The rooms and villas are phenomenal and the staff/service provided can not be beat. We will be back again for sure!!!
Amaizing Design Hotel, Art, Architecture, Service, Quality, Confort, Great Location!!! Super Staff, Food absolutely wonderful, ocean views!!! An experience that if you come to Los Cabos have to at least try their Restaurants!!! In few words it’s a place you will never forget!!!
I must say that the employees that we had interactions were top notch! Thank you to our wonderful breakfast servers. Rosie , Brandon, and Gabriel. They were the highlight of this trip. My biggest complaint is with the reservations department. I made an initial reservation and my card was declined. After confirming with my CC company that I wasn’t charged, I made a second reservation. I was promptly charged with two reservations. I called my CC company , viceroy reservations and the hotel direct. Then Viceroy charged me again when they told me that I would have a refund. So I have a disputed charge and an additional charge that should have been a refund. It has been a nightmare. I have to say I wouldn’t stay there again. The people that I mentioned were lovely …but I am still waiting for my 3300.00 refund…and for the disputed charge to be handled by my CC company. I have been coming to Cabo for 28 years. Never have I ever had this problem.…
Viceroy...a name associate with luxe quality - begets sore disappointed in the their exceptional lack of customer service. My wife, daughter and I were staying at a nearby hotel for a family trip, one with slides and all the silly, fun things one may have for kids. Enjoying a suite with a nightly rate of over $1k/nt, we're not adversed to high end experiences. I saw the Viceroy next door and decided we'd stroll over to check it out, for a possible return trip for my wife and I. I knew the Viceroy was known for the kind of luxe we appreciate and indulge in when not flanked by our 11yo...so we meandered over to take a peek. Well, they weren't going to let that happen. We were told we couldn't enter the property unless we were staying there. I explained I wanted to check it out to see if I wanted to stay there on my next visit. They said I could look at pictures online, which I called them out saying "that was the stupidest thing I've ever heard coming from a high end hotel". They suggested that we go the bar at the hotel..."okay, that's what I was planning on doing. Checking out the hotel and having a refreshment on the patio." They then reverted back to...you must be a registered guest. The gentleman I was speaking to was the supervisor I had requested to speak with, but apparently a bit confused, inviting me for a drink, while telling me I cannot come into the hotel. He wasn't dumb, nor his English bad, but he certainly felt my frustration. In sum...I will NEVER stay at the Viceroy, here in Cabo, or anywhere else on the planet for that matter. There are plenty of high end choices in Cabo to select from...I would encourage anyone/everyone to shop around -- as the Viceroy doesn't rate.…
WOW! What an experience! We stayed 3 nights / 4 days and didn’t want to leave. Every single employee from Front Desk to Concierge to Room Service to Pool Deck to the Restaurants made us feel valued and special. Thoughtful touches such as homemade popsicles by the pool, fresh beverage upon arrival, etc. just was such a delight. The Spa, let me not forget to mention - the most magical and in depth spa experience I’ve ever had; it’s not just an in/out service, it’s an experience. And the on site dining options, just unreal. Service and Food. We can’t wait to go back! We didn’t leave the resort once, we cancelled all off-site excursions and restaurants as Viceroy truly had everything there for us!
We stayed for 4 nights for my boyfriend's birthday and everything was perfect. I booked a private dinner on the beach with the hotel and the set up was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is amazingly peaceful. We really loved watching the sunrise over the beach from our balcony and soaking in the balcony tub in the evening. The food, staff, pool, beaches, and spa- everything was just right.
This is an updated review after talking to a manager. My original review was 3 stars. After talking to Beethoven he was very passionate about improving our stay. He found us at the pool and went out his way to talk to us. He sent a bottle of champagne to the room for my birthday and got us a private car to dinner. Because of the hospitality I am rating this hotel a 4. I can’t rate it a 5 because of the overpriced drinks and food. This hotel is priced and rated as a super luxury hotel but I feel that it’s a lot of money for nothing out of this world. While the views and aesthetics are outstanding, it is still not worth the price of $800-$1,000 night for a basic partial ocean view. Upon arrival we received our room that clearly smelled like sewer. It also felt very small and compact. They acted quickly to give us a new bigger upgraded room and we are grateful for that. However there is no justification as to why a glass of wine is $25 and so is a bowl of pasta. We also have to pay for still water when you are at the pool or eating for $7. Beyond ridiculous. For the price you are paying just for the room simple things like water at the pool should be included. Overall, staff is friendly and manager was happy to improve our stay. Whoever or whatever company owns this hotel needs to reevaluate the prices because you are taking advantage of travelers. I have stayed at high end resorts, and while pricey things were expected, I have never seen prices this high. To put things into perspective we stayed at Garza Blanca an all inclusive for the first half of our trip and that place is 5 stars in my opinion and a fraction of the price of Viceroy. The food was not mind blowing at either resort so in my opinion I would have rather have saved a few thousand and stayed at Garza. I would only recommend a one night stay to get an experience of the architecture.…
Beautiful resort with friendly and outgoing staff. On-site COVID testing is a huge convenience. Special thanks to Israel at the front desk for all of the “above and beyond” assistance. Looking forward to returning soon
I have no words. This resorts is pure paradise. Truly lived up to all the pictures & positive reviews I read before coming. We booked with AmEx travel and we’re treated so well. The staff throughout the entire resort - from arrival to dining to maintenance & housekeeping, concierge - all so friendly!! We had a beautiful ocean view suite and felt like we could have just stayed there for eternity!! There are so many small touches in the room - automatic blinds, dual shower heads, Amazon Alexa for music, plenty of complimentary bottled water, high end toiletries, etc. The grounds are amazing. The style of resort with all the water and wooden bungalows, beautiful plants, infinity pools, it was all just so unique and ethereal. The air even smells better at the resort 😂 We enjoyed the area by the pool on the beach so much. Nice lounge couches I’d call them that you can sit on along with traditional beach chairs. Plenty of chairs and no need to run out to the beach to reserve! Excellent friendly staff and many complimentary treats passed out throughout the day. You cannot swim in the ocean, but the beach is large & flat and great for a morning walk. The food is excellent. Breakfast was definitely a highlight for us - loved the chilaquiles!! We also love to venture of the resort and found the immediately surrounding strip and downtown San Jose deal Cabo very enjoyable for different restaurants! Only a 5 min Uber away. COVID testing was easy at the hotel. Airport transfer arranged within minutes. Really just can’t say enough good things!!…
Came here for a vacation and worst place I have stayed in Mexico. Was charged extra for a person and not all Inclusive . Didn’t give us a tour when we checked in. I asked to speak to a a manager , never happened . I would expect more for paying $700/night.
