Nothing ruins a vacation like a dishonest company making promises and then not fulfilling them. I have so many negative things to say about this company and our experience staying here; however I haven’t taken the time to write everything out yet. I’ll add everything to my review at a later time. First and foremost, this is a timeshare resort and therefore they are quick to pressure guests into hearing their timeshare presentations in exchange for room credit. They have you sign a “contract” prior to your presentation about living situations, income, timeshare history, etc and then proceed to interview you casually for an hour over breakfast to secretly look for ways to get out of fulfilling their obligation of giving you credit for attending. Once you’ve already wasted two hours of your vacation time and told them you don’t want to purchase they have you sign off on all the paperwork to decline their $28,000 timeshare option. We then returned to our room only to receive a phone call 30 minutes later saying that they would not honor the contract and would be removing the credit from our account. Their excuse for not giving us our room credit was that it was “obvious we did not want to be there.” Well of course we didn’t, nobody wants to attend a time share presentation, we do it because you offered something in exchange for us listening to the sales pitch. They then try to create excuses of how you didn’t qualify according to the contract, once you prove you met your requirements they just continue going in circles until you give up because they have all day to argue whereas we only have so much vacation time to waste with their nonsense. My advice as someone who stays in hotels and resorts over 150 nights a year is to stay away from this company. However, IF you do decide to stay here, absolutely do not waste your time with any of their shady sales pitches. Regarding the resort itself, the hotel is beautiful and some of the beach activity coordinators are very sweet, these are the only good things I have to say. Everything is overpriced including food and drinks (another fun scam of theirs is that happy hour is two for the price of one drinks; however they serve drinks in cups that are exactly half the size of the full price drink. The negatives go on and on.

I can see where most people are satisfied but we’re unfortunately getting shafted it seems. The pool drinks are terrible but if you ask for a “skinny margarita” they come out tasting decent. Not worth the $13 usd price tag. Service is great except for the I concierge people and sales team. Not a fan of the miscommunication and back and forth between different offices trying to get things straightened out (which still are not straightened out). Beautiful room though and the hospitality team is great. I’m not fan of the resort though. I probably won’t be back anytime soon. Not until Hilton takes over officially. Glad everyone else had awesome service though. Also happy hour 2x1 is a joke they give you one mixed drink split between two smaller cups! I will say this though. They have been working their asses off cleaning up after the 5 hr long hurricane last Friday! But a clean resort doesn’t mean it gets 5 stars especially not after being treated like we have been for the last two days. Yikes. Cheers

This place is great!!! Extremely clean and safe. The staff can be seen. Everyday all day cleaning and sanitizing everything. It is incredible they work this hard. Everyone is extremely friendly. The place is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are kept perfect. Pools are awesome. No problem getting lounges or beds on the beach or by any of the pools. Drinks and food are great and the service at the pools keep you refilled all the time. Happy hour everyday 3-5. It is okay and very popular at the swim up bar. Limited drink selection and they give you two drinks at a time. Those drinks are a little smaller as well in cup size. Bar staff work very hard but you can expect a good wait there. Better off ordering from the pool attendants usually faster. Beach is not for swimming but still beautiful to walk on and view the ocean. This place is awesome and I will return. The resort is very relaxing and peaceful. No loud music at activities pool side. Not a lot of activities anyways but I highly recommend bingo and blackjack with Andie and Diego. They are awesome and a lot of fun.

I take to heart how hard COVID has been for the tourist industry and how important reviews are. When I do share a negative experience I try hard to be as fair as possible. I have no interest in hurting the many people that rely on the had to come by income at this time. I also have respect for the trip advisor community that I so often rely on myself.  Arrival was lackluster. The front desk was not welcoming or engaging. She seemed half there and asked to see my ID twice because she couldn't remember what part of the check in process she was in. At one point, I ask if something was wrong because she simply stopped doing anything and I thought maybe something was wrong with her computer.  When I did receive my keys the room was a disappointment. I booked a run of the house room  and certainly didn't expect a view of the ocean or even the pool. However when I found that my room faced nothing but a parking lot, that was unexpected. This was particularly sad taking into consideration that I was told by the concierge that the resort was at half capacity. After seeing the room I went straight back to the front desk to request a room change. I was told no other rooms in my category were available. I asked again. After the concierge called his supervisor he excitedly told me "I have good news!". I was relieved until he explained that he would give me a room upgrade if I committed to a sales presentation. I declined. He pushed the idea and I declined again. He again pushed the sales presenting and I declined a third time. Now I am disappointed, frustrated and embarrassed as I had arranged this trip for a friend's birthday and now we are both tired and hungry while having to navigate this room issue upon arrival. The concierge said there was nothing he could do and asked if I wanted to speak with his supervisor. The supervisor offered to show us another room that magically became available. It was the same room level, however a different location what a view of an pool alcove. It was just fine but we were told we would have to pay an additional $20US per night. The $20 is no big deal but at this point I feel I've had to jump through hoops and am completely disenchanted. To top it all off it is blatantly clear that I have been lied to regarding the actual availability of rooms. This is just not good business and certainly not good hospitality.  Beyond the front desk and reception management the resort is very pretty. Lougers are extra comfortable and abundant. Food is very good quality although the fine dining restaurant is closed until further notice. Drinks are very good. I had a heck of a time keeping coffee in stock in the room. Housekeeping just forgot to replenish it. The pools are a great temperature. The spa was really wonderful and my massage was one of the best in my life. Really excellent spa staff. Excellent wait service on the beach as well.  I'm saddened that my trip started off so rough as it tainted my whole visit. I'm so grateful for all the staff working hard and taking so much pride in thier work. Management should take inspiration from them.  I check-out tomorrow and am dreading dealing with the front desk again and whatever surprise issues pop up.  Had I not encountered the check in problems I would 100% come back. However, the issues have overshadowed the good for me.
