My friend and I visited this beautiful resort the week of Jan. 14th. What a wonderful experience! The views were exceptional, the food was delicious, the spa and grounds were clean and well maintained. What truly stands out was the outstanding customer service! When we were greeted by Eduardo in the lobby I immediately knew we had made the best choice for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation. Jair Adame and Jamie Rodriguez were so kind and genuinely committed to quality customer service. Eduardo in the Mexican restaurant on our first night was great! Felippe and Alexis by the pool were extremely attentive and made certain we were always comfortable. We took an excursion to the Luxury Day Sailing with Sebastian and Charlie. What a fun snorkeling adventure.
My Wife and I were at the Marquis 10-24 Jan/23. This is our favourite resort and guess this was our 6th visit. It had been three years since we last visited due to Covid. We were pleasantly surprised how many staff members were still there! The Marquis menus have all been revamped and the night time activities have expanded. The food was off the charts…. room service and the coffee shop as well. The resort is not huge, with the staff there is a personal touch. All amenities are just minutes from your room. We will return again. This facility and top notch staff check off all our boxes!
This is an excellent property. The service was phenomenal and the staff was very friendly and inviting. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The food was excellent for an all inclusive property. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great for couples and friends.
I recently visited the Marquis with my family of 6. Greeting us at breakfast every morning, Adrianna was a delight. Jair Adame Ignacio C. served us and truly treated us like royalty. He made the trip special, remembering our names and bringing us extra treats. He went above and beyond and will be missed. It’s people like that who make you want to come back. Salvador and Vianey were the best pool side bartenders with great attitudes and lots of kindness. Christian, Esmeralda and Angel were the activities/entertainment coordinators made the trip so fun and memorable. They became my new friends for the week,? as we played games and dominated at volleyball. Cons: The gym and spa were subpar. The gym equipment is antiquated and the steam room was cold. Additionally, the gym is too small. By 8 am, there were 20 people in there on a Wednesday and it is only about 20x20 square feet. The room service couldn’t seem to pull off the simplest orders. …
We had a fun stay but there were some pros and cons to the trip. The entertainment team (Christian, Esmerelda, Angel, and Uriel) were so great and organized lots of fun games and activities around the pool and on the beach. They really were the highlight of our trip and made it so fun. Our servers by the pool Rick and Sergio were amazing. Very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We had a great dinner at the Italian (Aldo was great!) and Mexican restaurants but our experience at the Japanese restaurant was not good. The concierge suggested/ recommended that we do the "regular dining" at the Japanese restaurant as opposed to the hibachi dinner at the tables with the stoves. This was the worst doing experience we had. I think he only suggested that because the hibachi tables are more work/ more popular. With the normal menu, which seemed to be some sort of set sample menu, we couldn't order what we wanted and the boys were starving afterwards. This was all after we waited to be seated at 8:40, 40 mins after our reservation which you have to have at all the restaurants except the Mexican restaurant. In addition, the concierge talked us into going to a "barbecue" one night (which he assured us would have vegetarian options). The only options were steak tacos and hamburgers but the two vegetarians in our group were limited to dry, frozen French fries and gross looking steamed veggies. We left and got dinner at the Mexican restaurant instead. The rooms were nice and clean. Most of the common areas like restaurants and lobby and pool were decent but some things looked a little run down (like the elevators). The spa was below average. Almost $200 for less than an hour massage and it was not great. There are NO hot tubs on the pool deck and to access a hot tub you have to play $15 a day for "spa and hydro circuit access". There is not a hydro circuit. There are 6 small hot tubs and a non heated pool that serves as a "cold plunge". There are steam rooms in the back corner of the locker rooms so if you're a couple you'd have to separate to go in those. We did not try the French place which costs an additional $100+ per person. Instead we went out of the resort on our last night. If you are going for more than 3 or 4 nights I suggest making a reservation elsewhere or going out of the resort at least one night as the food gets a little old. Overall- very friendly and accommodating staff (other than then they were out of something- like Prosecco for mimosas at the pool but thats not their fault). …
Would give a lower rating but not fair to staff and hotel. The sand is hard to walk in and is steep decline down to water which you can't even put your feet in. I had read you couldn't swim but other reviews said walk ten minutes to Hilton for beach to swim in. Sand was hard to walk in and very pebbly, hard bare foot. Unfortunately, our older mom was so worn out we couldn't enjoy the small cove you could go in and had to get an uber back.. I thought would be able to stroll along the beach on the trip but not to be. The staff is excellent. We loved Eduardo Villegas, a young waiter for dinner at Vista Ballenas two nights! So friendly and funny! And Antonio Ramiro saw to our every need at the breakfast buffet each morning. He was great! The rooms are beautiful. There is a fridge that they keep stocked with some sodas and beers and snacks. The pool is nice and good service for drinks. The japanese restaurant was really nice but a lady in front of us said, be sure you ask them to make it less salty! We didn't say anything and it was salty. Pergola the italian restaurant was really good. Pizza at pergola during day was really good. The activities were disappointing. We were there sun to thurs so maybe better on weekend. Was a great live band first night that play queen and 80's. There was something called a "tropicalismo show" and a guitar player. Only saw guitar player and he was good but nothing else. The casino night was a poker table at the bar. Don't go for theme nights. …
The second you arrive at Marquis Los Cabos you realize that you made an excellent choice. The facilities--room, shared space, pool area are gorgeous and very clean. The food is also of the highest quality. I literally had ceviche almost every day and was impressed with it every time. The restaurants are beautiful and, as others have said, I would highly recommend doing reservations for both the Italian and Asian restaurants as much as you can. I have traveled all over the world as a single traveler and this was my only struggle with my week-long experience. I had read many reviews about the customer service at the Marquis. I had several situations where I was ignored for basic things like water where the couples and people around me were taken care of very differently. Please recognize that it did not happen every time--and I did say something and received better service on at least one occasion. Single travelers pay more than most guests, and I was hoping I would be treated at least as well as the groups and couples. That just was not consistently the case with my experience. I would highly recommend this resort for groups and couples, and I am talking to family and my partner about returning with them in the future. But for the management, I would consider talking to your staff about the single traveler to help them feel more comfortable.…
We had a very enjoyable stay at Marquis! The staff were friendly and attentive. We especially appreciated Gerry for always making sure we had everything we needed while we were at the pool, and Adriana for her kindness and attention to detail! The first two nights we were there it was unusually windy, and we did have trouble sleeping with the wind howling through the door. Also, something in the hallway kept slamming in the wind waking us multiple times. Once the wind settled it was a much more restful stay. Our room was very clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the nespresso each morning on the balcony while whale watching. Overall the food was good. We chose to dine at a regular table at Sakke, and we did not particularly love our meal. The meal at the hibachi tables looked much more appetizing. If you go this time of year, be sure to pack layers to wear! The evenings are chilly, and we were surprised by how many dinner options are outside. Overall we had a great week and met some wonderful people! We would definitely consider going back!…
Fantastic property and staff! Unfortunately the sun wasn’t out everyday but we still had a great time during our stay. Highlight of our trip was the pool staff from entertainment to wait staff. Urial, Angel, Esmeralda, Christian were so engaging and fun, if it weren’t for them we probably wouldn’t have played many of the activities on offer and they really added to the experience with their cheeky and enthusiast personalities. We moved around to different pool locations each day and ended up with different staff which was awesome to get to know each of them. Sergio in particular provided phenomenal service and was very genuine to chat with. Arturo, Rick, Juan all very professional and helpful! The buffet breakfast was really great, the omelettes were amazing! Our favorite dinner was at the Pergola and our server Aldo was super tentative to a big table of 8. We will definitely return …
Really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Marquis Los Cabos. The food quality and service receives 5 Stars. Every single employee was friendly and always ready to see that your needs were met. Food and drinks were always abundant whether at a restaurant, bar, suite service or at the pool. Arturo, Gerry, Uriel, Mitzi, Hector and so many others went above and beyond. All of the hosts, managers and servers at the breakfast buffet were wonderful. Our Junior suite was very comfortable and all in great working condition. There are a couple of things that could be improved. It is the colder season and we would have enjoyed ourselves even more if the pools had been heated. It seems only one pool was heated at all and on the 2 cloudy days we were there it was impossible to stay in that pool because of the water temperature. On the flip side, the hot tubs in the Spa were too hot to even enter (the attendant measure it at 110 F), so we were not able to enjoy that part of the experience after our spa treatments. The property itself was beautiful and we enjoyed looking at the beach and ocean from the edge of the infinity pool. On our first day we even had a show from a whale tale slapping just a little up the coast. I would definitely consider returning at a warmer time of the year.…
