I rarely feel compelled to write reviews and I have been in six different hotels over the last eight weeks traveling again like pre-Covid, but this hotel always leaves me wanting to come back for more. The staff at the hotel led by Carolina, the food at seven seas restaurant on site, the spa and massages, the swimmable beach and surf along with the pool make this my go to spot for a taste of what I think Mexico is best at. I was there last week for five nights, and hardly left the property except to go to the art walk in San Jose and while I was there booked rooms for the week before Christmas so I could have my kids and my girlfriends kids see what it is that I love so much about the place. It also helps that it’s close in from the airport and I refuse to stay near downtown Cabo. I’m not sure what else to say except that this is such a value, I hope they don’t realize what a value it is, and it keeps producing like it does! Highly recommend it!…

I did not feel like the price we paid for the room was worth it. I will keep this short and sweet. Pros: - Direct access to beach. Swimmable beach. Clean beach, not too many people or vendors harassing you. - 7 Seas restaurant is literally at the hotel - Room service leaves the bedroom impeccably clean Cons: - Front desk lobby people were very dry. Additionally, they did not tell us they could keep our luggage in a closet while we waited for our transportation to take us to the airport upon departure. They did do this for the white gringos staying at the hotel. I felt a slight differential treatment between how they treated the gringo americans versus the Mexican Americans. - At check-in, I was asked to pay an additional 2k for whatever costs we accrued during our stay. I asked them to take this off, as I would pay for whatever I ordered on the spot. They did take it off, but I did not appreciate this somewhat "hidden" fee. - Our room (#25 or #26 for reference, right next to the gym) had bugs and insects. I thought it was an one-off thing but nope. They were near the kitchen area and the AC. I did not tell the front lobby about it since they were initially really dry in the first place. I did not feel they would do anything about it. These bugs were all over my luggage. I am not high maintenance and figured I could just ignore it, as long as they were not ON the bed. I took videos of the insects/bugs. Also, one of our bedside lamps did not work. - Lights went out a few times during our stay - The kitchen for 7Seas restaurant was VERY loud. We could hear the cooks bantering from our room in the early morning hours. - AC at night was loud - Beds were not comfortable. The mattress is stiff. Sheets were scratchy. I felt bad hearing the wedding vendor tell a bride over the phone they were the most comfortable beds because that was not true. - Water pressure for shower was not that great, no hot water available - 7Seas restaurant SERVICE is incredible but The food was super lackluster for the price. Also their drinks seems a bit diluted. I recommend you hop on an Uber and find other spots to eat for way cheaper and better tasting. The best part was the easy access to the somewhat swimmable beach. Otherwise, I did not feel like the money we paid to stay here was worth it. This hotel was more like a 3 star hotel, and not the 4 star they claim to be. I think you can find other hotels with better service for the same price. …

The event manager treats the local people who come to the beach very badly. Every weekend there are weddings taking away space from families who want to use the beach and be able to surf. Since it is a very small beach, they make visitors take away and then they do not want to give us service.

Thank you for your feedback. Most local surfers don't mind the hotel using its concessioned beach to grant wedding couples the possibility to have a beach wedding ceremony. We are grateful that even on those events (that usually last about half an hour) the beach has plenty of space for all to enjoy. Surfing access has never being an issue either. We know everybody is different and have different points of view. Nevertheless, we maintain a friendly attitude to locals and all visitors alike. I find it completely disappointing that being a local and coming every day, consuming every other day they have ZERO respect for the local community. They sell beach weddings leaving out the details that the beaches in Mexico are public. They are very rude to the locals on the beach, always moving us in a very disrespectful manner and above all, being oncoming clients to their 7 seas restaurant and paying full price the event coordinator denied food service to the beach. IF YOU PLAN A WEDDING OR EVENT PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE LAND AND COMMUNITY.

Great Location and design but needs attention to food and drinks area and pricing. The place looks great and its perfect for surfing. Food and drinks needs immediate attention Prices are super expensive as in a top restaurant and the quality is really poor. Everything is under average and somethings are even lousy. We had to send back to the kitchen at least 2 dishes that came bad. Service is very good and staff try their best but the food quality is really under par and with a price tag that makes the experience really annoying. Room is ok, but again, the $300usd rate + taxes makes you expect a nicer room. Tha AC unit makes so much noise that is impossible to sleep The fan is unbalanced and therefore make noise too. The room service is ok but they do it too late. We had to call teh reception desk at 4pm to have the roome made. So the conclusion is that it needs attention, price does not reflect what you expect and has a great location.…

A nice hotel in the San José del Cabo area. Directly in front of the best surf break. It has a nice restaurant in the lobby area with great beach views. The property has two infinity pools and spa. I would stay here again tip: choose the ocean view room.

We had the pleasure of attending a family wedding here. This hotel exemplifies the definition of hospitality in every single detail. Angel captains the food staff and is truly dedicated to providing the most perfect experience at all times. The location of Cabo Surf can't be beat - this was definitely the closest we've ever stayed to a beach. The room and bed quality of our Elite Ocean room was top notch. Extremely comfortable. For $500USD/night, the service was pretty lukewarm and impersonal. Maybe we caught them at the end of a long spring break run of business. Ulises in the 7 Seas restaurant was a stand out - really warm, friendly and authentic guy. Food was average.
