Paradisus Los Cabos garners praise for its coveted location, nestled near historic sites and coveted beaches, where many guests appreciate the ease of finding swimmable spots. The hotel's atmosphere, complete with nightly entertainment and live music, is generally viewed as inviting, although nightlife options are sometimes missed. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with travelers consistently commending the pristine condition of rooms and public spaces. Opinions differ on the rooms themselves, with some describing them as spacious and well-maintained, while others encounter maintenance issues. The range of high-quality amenities, including the lauded beach and dining options, is acknowledged by many, yet the value proposition elicits mixed feelings, as some question the cost relative to their experience.

We always have excellent service at Paradisus properties in Mexico. Usually it's just a few staff members that go above and beyond to help you live your best vacation life, but this time I ended up with a whole list who deserve a shout out. We are glad to be in Melia's Circle because we are always so impressed with the people who work at Paradisus in Mexico. The service is what you might expect at a much higher price point. Everyone is friendly, engaged, and obviously they take pride in aiming to create their guests' ultimate vacation experience. They even surprised us with an elegant welcome spread in our room on our first evening. From restaurant reservations to spa bookings to general questions, our concierge Luis Basilio helped make our visit seamless.

Our room was flawless, although we would have liked to be closer to the Reserve lounge, which I found to be a great place to do work on my laptop with a gorgeous view in the background. The lounge also had some impressive coffee table books, delicious espresso, a friendly & accommodating bartender Hector, and a nice spread of snacks from before breakfast to after dinner. Anyway, our room was a beautiful space, made more luxurious by high vaulted ceilings because it was the top floor. The room was spacious, airy, and well-maintained: Surprisingly, EVERYTHING worked perfectly, including sliding door, its lock, air conditioner, sink drain, light switches, no light bulbs were out, all drawers opened smoothly, shower door sealed, no chipped paint, etc. Housekeeping was consistent, and we never got even remotely close to running out of bottled water or clean towels. My only criticism is the fan vent in the bathroom was a bit dirty and looked like it could use a wipe. Also, I was not terribly impressed with the quality of the bed linens. The shower helpfully features two heads & wands, allowing for a couple to shower together comfortably. Good temperature and pressure. The lighting in the sink area was soft and flattering rather than stark and jarring. Love the fluffy bathrobes.

We enjoyed hanging by the main pool, which seemed to oscillate between periods of rest and activity (water aerobics, bumping Latin music). The cabanas available to Reserve guests were a shady refuge to relax in between dips, while reading, or napping. The Reserve pool was a little tame for our taste. We participated in sip & paint activity, and also I really enjoyed the pole fitness class with Dani (Danny?) by the pool. He was a great instructor and it was a great way to challenge myself on an otherwise relaxing trip. I also enjoyed several yoga sessions with a view of the beach. They have group yoga classes, but I rolled out my own mat and did my own practice anywhere I found a great view and didn't seem to be in the way. The gym was pretty cramped with equipment and did not have open space or a separate studio area for yoga/pilates/calisthenics. I enjoyed 2 spa treatments - a facial and a massage. My massage therapist was great, but my husband didn't like his therapist as much, so make sure you speak up about your preferences if you're going to spend the money. I do hope the resort invests in more/better live music and shows, perhaps performances at a bigger venue could create a more exciting atmostphere than upstairs by the lobby bar.

For breakfast & lunch, we ate mostly at the Palapa in the rserve section, where Valentin & Ventura accommodated all sorts of special requests, made fabulous cappucinos, and humorously tolerated my husband practicing his Spanish.

For dinner, we went to our favorite, Tokimeku, twice, where Manuel took great care of us.
We also enjoyed Sal steakhouse, where we had extremely polished service and great discussion about wine with Benjamin.
La Palapa had some really great dishes for dinner as well; Salvador our waiter was fantastic, although the kitchen was slow that night.
Ciel was also delicious; Santiago made sure we had everything we needed and made a great recommendation on my husband's main course.
We did not try the Italian Cappella, in order to hit Tokimeku a second time :D

Hugo, the sommelier, enhanced dinner throughout our stay with some excellent wines. From French to Californian to Mexican, they were each thoughtful and lively selections.
After we complained about the slow dinner at La Palapa, immediately followed by slow service at Gabi the next day for lunch, it seemed like they sent Marco, a food & beverage manager, to shadow our following meals. He cerainly is en effective leader, because everything was on point after that, and we appreciated management's eagerness and ability to correct course.

This was a truly gorgeous resort, probably the second most impressive Melia property we've stayed at (after Gran Palacio Isora in Tenerife). We loved the imaginative landscaping, a combination between dessert (cacti) and tropical (plumeria, jatropha). Can't wait to come back!

Paradisus Los Cabos was truly a dream! Everything about this trip was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about our 6 night stay. During our stay every staff member wore a mask, there was ample hand sanitizer on the grounds, and everything was individually packaged and sanitized. They take Covid regulations seriously.

Due to covid they are at 30% capacity which was beneficial to us because the resort was less crowded. A few of the restaurants were closed but we still had plenty of options to eat from every day.

On site we were able to work with an agent to book outside excursions. Everything was easy to book.

I enjoyed the beach front access the resort had to the ocean. It was nice to have options to lay by the pool or have your feet in the sand.

If you are not a family with small children I highly recommend The Reserve. You receive free transportation to/from the airport, access to an additional restaurant, and a convenient room location at the resort. We chose the The Reserve Swim Up with access to our own pool which was worth the extra $$.

The staff was so friendly and attentive. The laid back atmosphere made it perfect to go as a couple but there were many families and friend gatherings taking place. We look forward to returning and bringing our friends a long with!

I book this trip to propose to my girlfriend down on the beach! From the moment we stepped foot onto the property we were totally blown away at the beauty of everything! The level of service was above and beyond anything we expected and since this was during covid, there were relatively few guest there which made us feel like we had it all to our selves. The staff all was wearing mask, hand sanitizer at too many stations to name, and temperature check when you get on the property. People wore mask in the open air hallways, inside, and while traveling to and from but since the whole hotel is outside with a strong breeze we felt it was safe to forgo while at the pool and beach. The food was amazing, especially at La Palapa restaurant which they had open for everyone at this time. The drinks at the bar were as strong as you wanted and endless to choose from, we loved both the pool bar and the beach bar where they would bring the drink out to you in the sand. The rooms all had a beautiful view (we opted for the cheap garden view) of the surrounding area and lush gardens and pools. Perfectly located between the two town so you can see anything in no time at all. Truly an outstanding destination and one we will remember for ever! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious rest and relaxation for their vacation.

We spent 7days, 6 nights at Paradisus in an oceanfront room at the Reserve. The rooms are very nice and clean and the view was beautiful. Check in was very efficient and easy. No time share sales. It seems as though the resort is still waking from it’s sleepy Covid slumber. They cannot book the hotel fully so it almost seems overly quiet. Not all restaurants are open and so you must make sure you have a proper dinner reservation. Regarding Covid safety measures, the resort has done an excellent job and it feels VERY SAFE. You must wear a mask when walking around, use sanitizer at the restaurants, sanitize you’re shoes and have your temperature taken when entering the hotel each time. We appreciated this. The maid service and room cleanliness was excellent. While we had excellent pool service one day from Ricardo and Noe,(his first day), the rest of the time the pool service was hit and miss, nothing memorable. The bartender at the pool was on the very quiet side and almost seemed annoyed at the fun 20 somethings that were having a great time one afternoon. The food compared to other Mexico resorts would rate a 7 out of 10. We were supposed to have a room butler or concierge but we never saw him and just received a few texts asking about dinner reservations. This was ok with us as we were just doing our own thing anyway.
This hotel is placed 7 miles from San Jose and about 12 from Cabo so you are located where you have to Uber, taxi, etc. to go anywhere. Uber is $12 to Cabo. A taxi is $30 you decide. The beach is big and the sand is VERY coarse, not soft. There is one small spot to swim otherwise the shore break while beautiful, is treacherous. Overall it was a nice relaxing vacation and the employees were very kind, although there were not an “memorable” service experiences.
I think we may try the Meliá in Cabo (sister property) on our next visit.

We stayed at Paradisus for 4 nights and it was not long enough. The grounds are beautiful, everything is spotless. The rooms are well appointed and despite what I read they did not look tired or worn. We stayed in room 3230 and while it was listed as Garden View we did have a nice partial ocean view. The resort has a very open spa like feel to it with glass walls to maximize the view.
There were two conferences going on when we were there which was actually great because those folks were busy all day leaving lots of space at the pools and restaurants.
We opted for Royal Service which was between $120-$240 per night per room ($240 we were quoted for a swim out room) I think it was worth it, the Adult Only pool was very quiet and relaxing and Boris was on top of all of our food and beverage needs ! The Royal Service Lounge has top shelf alcohol such as Grey Goose Vodka and I can tell you this resort does NOT water down any alcohol at all, I definitely noticed a difference from other All Inclusives! The Royal Service Lounge is also and excellent place to whale watch. We saw so many whales it was really cool. I will not say anything good or bad about our Butler .... the only time we heard from him was when we were checking out as I assume he was looking for a tip. I did see many attentive Butlers, we just were not fortunate enough to have one.
We ate at La Palapa for breakfast, lunch and dinner all were very good. Mole and Tokimeku were good as well. If you got ot Tokimeku do the cooking table, hands down the best fried rice I have ever had.
I'm sure there are a ton of things I am leaving out, but overall very good experience if you are looking to relax. If you are looking for nightly entertainment and a loud resort this probably isn't the place for you. The Staff was all very friendly, the grounds are very well maintained. This is a beautiful resort.

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary the last week of September and really enjoyed our stay. We requested ocean view but didn’t love our view and noticed the odd number rooms overlooked the pool/grounds and ocean. We called the front desk to see if we could move and they happily let us switch rooms within the hour. Overall, the staff was amazing, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Special shout outs to Jonathan who organized all the activities like pool volleyball, ping pong tournaments and the mojito making class! Diana, Fausto, and Esthela were fabulous and could make any drink you wanted. The food was good, not great but it was as we would expect an all inclusive food to be. Not all of the restaurants were open due to Covid, but would have loved to see them in action. The wine was not great, if you want a decent bottle you won’t find it here. The resort location is great as we were able to take 10-15 minute ubers into Cabo or San Jose. Ubers were definitely the way to go, safe and cheap. We loved that the resort was on a swimmable beach and one of the main reasons we chose this over some of the other Corridor resorts. The swim up bar was a lot of fun, we had some great times there meeting other guests. All in all, we had a great time. Go for the swimmable beach, location and great service

We were looking for a quick getaway and Paradisus Los Cabos fit the bill. It was an easy 4 hour flight from YVR and a 20 minute van transfer to the resort. We had booked an ocean view room but at check in were given a main floor room by the walk way? Typical at these all-inclusives, back to the front desk we go to request a new room. The resort was maybe 60 percent occuppied so it was disappointing we were getting the run around and not given the correct booked room in the first place. Overall the staff were great but as others mentioned you do get different answers from the staff which was frustrating. The best part of the resort you can book your evening meals on their app. without dealing with the front desk. One problem we had was when we were given tables by the screaming children, they should try to locate the families separate from the adults in the restaurants, again just ask to be seated away from the noise. The food and drink were a bit above average but not a 5 star so unless you book at decent price it is bit over rated and priced. Another odd thing was you have to pay at one of the restaurants, we have never seen this before at an A/I? The other problem was there are no tennis or pickleball courts, no pool tables, no ocean water sports so you are limited to a single pool side ping pong table. The resort is on the smaller side (350 rooms) which we prefer and being one of the few resorts in the area that had a swimable beach were the main reasons we selected Paradisus, for these reasons alone we would consider returning. We had three seperate wedding parties roll thru during our visit and as expected you will notice the service drops when the resort becomes busy but it is still pretty hard not to have a good time, enjoy...

Our family of four traveled to Paradisus the week of June 21 through June 28. Travelers including my husband, my daughter who is nine, my son who is 11 and myself. Overall, we were just so thankful that we could finally travel again!

This is probably our 12th time that we’ve traveled to Mexico and we always stay at all inclusive resorts. One thing we appreciated about this hotel was the facilities were very well-kept, you couldn’t beat the view, the pool was large, and the activities being run throughout the day were a lot of fun if you participated. I also found the beds extremely comfortable.

As far as the food goes, I felt that the menus were rather limited. This was especially true at the American restaurant. I enjoyed my meals at both the Italian and the Mexican restaurants but they too had limited menus. In fact, this is probably the most limited menu I’ve ever seen at an all inclusive resort. Due to Covid, they had to do away with buffets, the good news with that is that I didn’t gain any weight on this vacation! The downside is that breakfast and lunch sometimes took forever. Our first day for breakfast, it took 90 minutes to finish! The last day, we went to Gabi beach for lunch and after waiting an hour and 15 minutes, we had to leave without eating to catch a shuttle to the airport. It was really disappointing.

The pool: The chairs are very comfortable, but you do need to have someone go down there before 8 o’clock in order to secure a spot. It does seem to me that the resort is operating at full capacity. It seemed very busy! The guys at the pool bar do an amazing job! They get slammed, but they manage to take care of everyone within a reasonable amount of time. The servers around the pool are understaffed. Way too busy! I just went and got my own drinks because they would come much quicker and you were insured to get what you ordered. For food at the pool, you could either go to Gabi beach and sit down for lunch or there was some food that you could walk over in and get it. A few servers would make a plate for you and I found that rather convenient. The other way was to ask one of the pool servers but I always felt like it was a hassle or you were causing them too much work if you went that route.

The entertainment was mediocre at best. I’m a tough critic because I’m comparing these shows to the ones I saw at hard rock And there is no comparison. Probably the best show I saw was in the lounge where they were playing country music one night.

The beach was not swimmable. In fact, they don’t have any gear to check out down there because there’s no way they’d let anyone tango with that ocean. VERY DANGEROUS! Jellyfish also wash up on shore.

Overall, I am writing this vacation or three stars because we still managed to have fun because we were with family, lounging out in the sun, eating food, drinking drinks, and going to restaurants. I was so happy to be on vacation. Plus, the view couldn’t be better.

The hotel did a pretty good job with COVID-19 precautions. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer stations, codes to scan for mobile menus, individually wrapped and sealed silverware packs, and kits containing masks and hand sanitizer in the rooms upon arrival. The swim up bar was the only issue. Most, if not all, adults acted like nothing was going on. Large groups of unmasked people at most times. I'm not here to point fingers at all. The hotel really didn't do anything wrong. They did the best they can. It's the adults who should be doing their part too.

All that said, the hotel grounds were beautiful. The staff did a really nice job daily. The food was good. It's resort food. I assume enough of you reading this have been somewhere similar. A few of the restaurants and bars were closed. No issues there. l'm sure it's due to the amount of people staying at the resort. I will say it was nice not to rush to the pool in the morning and claim a seat. It was also nice to not need to swim through a large crowd of people with their knock-off Yeti tumblers.

Shout out to Reynaldo, the wine sommelier. Take a wine class with him. Super knowledgeable and very entertaining. Seems like he really enjoys what he does.

We spent the week at Paradisus in September. Good and bad points but we would stay there again.

Cons:
1. We stayed in a Reserve Swim Up room. The rooms themselves are adult only, meaning you won’t have children to your left or right. However, the rooms above are not adult only so you can (and we did) have kids above us and you can definitely hear them. This was the biggest issue we had since we thought, and the website made it sound like the Reserve was a section of the hotel that was adults only. This was the reason we booked Paradisus in the first place. Really disappointed. We asked the front desk about it and they couldn’t give us an answer. We asked to speak to a manager about it (twice) and we never heard back from them.

2. We never heard from or saw a butler which was part of the Reserve “benefits”

3. My fiancé tried to do something nice for us on our anniversary but the hotel couldn’t offer us anything except a cake at dinner (which we could’ve just offered off the menu anyway). I guess this is where the Butler would be helpful? They asked us multiple times if we were celebrating anything and when we told them, they couldn’t do anything. Not sure why they even asked.

Pros:
1. Jonathan will make sure you always have fun at the pool. He teachers Not-your-typical-water aerobics everyday and activities by the pool bar in the afternoon.

2. Yony at the pool bar will make you the best drinks!

3. Waitstaff was generally very accommodating.

4. La Palapa, restaurant for those staying in Reserve rooms, has really good food. This alone may be worth the Reserve room costs during Covid since they only had 2 restaurants + room service open.

5. The precautions the staff took during Covid made it feel safe. The hotel seemed to be at 20% capacity, all staff wore masks, lots of spacing between chairs. The only time we felt uncomfortable was around drunk guests who would get too close at the pool bar.

6. The swim up room was worth it. We heard some people saying it wasn’t but we used it multiple times a day. It was nice to wake up have a quiet swimming pool all to ourselves and be able to take a dip when we got back from any excursions. Plus you can get drinks delivered!

7. The hotel is about a $16 uber ride to Cabo and $10 to San Jose del Cabo. Use uber! The hotel won’t tell you they’re available, they’ll only recommend a cab ($30) or city bus.

**I know the hotel says tipping isn’t required but we tipped whenever we could. We brought a bunch of $1’s and $5’s. Small gestures go a long way. It would be helpful to have some guidance from the hotel on what appropriate tips would be instead of saying it’s not required.

how can I make reservations for dinner on line?

I do not know. If I have anything negative to say about the property it would be lots of miscommunication about dinner and reservations. Food was great however.
