Absolutely. Fabulous. Our family (2 girls ages 12/10) just returned from an epic week at Palmilla. I rarely write reviews, but when something exceeds expectations to this degree, its criminal not to write a formal Thank You. The hotel and grounds were immaculate. All of the amenities were wonderfully appointed. I don't know how many guests they can accommodate, but we were told they were at 98% occupancy. Despite that, nothing ever felt crowded. We experienced some really special service and would like to specifically thank Alfonso at Pelican Beach, Gregorio at the pool, Romulo at the men's spa, Simone, the award winning barber, and of course the dream team of Javier, Cesar, and Victor... the trio of butlers that took care of us all week. We can't wait to go back to see these wonderful people and wonderful place!…
I apologize for the lengthy review but our stay here made a tremendously positive impact and we feel individual praise and recognition are necessary. My first draft of this review was written on our last full day and as we reflected on what was quite possibly the most perfect vacation had at O & O Palmilla. We were sitting on the secluded, white sand beach that embraces this gorgeous property, being doted on by Alberto and Elias when right before our eyes a whale jumped in and out of the water 3 times. It was magical. I was so taken aback by the whale that my draft somehow deleted. This version is being written on our very last morning, as we listen to the waves from our Casita Suite and take in the sun light reflecting off our plunge pool. We are saddened to leave this magical place, luxurious grounds & accommodations and incomparable service. Our sadness was intensified during breakfast by Gabino at Agua. He has to be the most genuine, kind, warm, and attentive individual ever. I’d like to make clear that EVERYONE you encounter at Palmilla is phenomenal, gracious, warm and inviting; eager to make your stay perfect and exceeding all expectations. However, like most relationships there are some you hit off better than others. Gabino was one of them, as was Seesa (also at Agua during breakfast - beautiful soul). From day one, our hosts Victoria and Isaac were amazing! Victoria has the most beautiful smile. They both exude warm and positive energy and genuinely care about your needs and wants. They will make the impossible, possible. Let me put it this way, if you ask them for a unicorn with a rainbow mane, their follow-up question will be: what color horn? Gold or silver? That’s how well you will be taken care of. After you are greeted by your host (if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get team Isaac/Victoria) you will be escorted through the lush and majestic grounds of Palmilla and into your beautifully appointed room. We were left breathless with our beachfront Casita. The view is unbelievable. The temperature of the plunge pool is perfect. You are welcomed with fresh fruit and the smoothest tequila in your spacious yet cozy living area. The beds are so comfortable. My husband and can never get a good nights sleep in hotels slept like a baby all 7 nights. The cleaning service is immaculate and everyday the room smelled and looked fresh. I also loved the little surprises left at turndown - very cute and thoughtful. The bathrooms are well equipped with most everything you can need during your stay. You also have the most beautifully smelling incense that seems to also be the scent that permeates the entire resort. Dining, pool and spa were always a special experience, led by the most welcoming and gracious staff. But first, the pool! We kept ourselves at the adult only pool (next to Breeze) or the beach. Hands down these gentlemen work hard to make your lounging as comfortable as possible. You cannot go wrong with any of the pool attendants, but you’ll be in good hands with Joaquin, Efren, Elias, Javier and Alberto. As one of them once told me, in all seriousness: “anything is possible at the Palmilla…” and they lived up to that promise! If you get any of the spa treatments, do yourself a favor and ask for Edaena. She is very talented, but kind and warm. I was also blessed to have met Daniella and Heidy, spa attendants, who made my visits enjoyable. Daniella also has a very pretty smile and awesome personality- we hd our laughs and chatted quite a bit, which was very nice. AGUA: we had most our breakfasts at Agua and as already mentioned, we were blown away by Gabino and Seesa. The food was delicious but my all time favorite was the El Rancho with plenty of habañero sauce. I must also bring attention to Julian, who always made sure our coffee was hot and plenty; very sweet gentleman that was eager to please. BREEZE: Oscar!! Enough said. He had the most welcoming smile and even when we wouldn’t eat there, if he saw us he went out of his way yo say hello and chat with us a bit. Now, if you’re a Fish & Chips fan - wow!! You must try that at Breeze. SUVICHE: OH. MY. GOD!!! Hands down my favorite place. Amazing service was had from Fernando (at the lounge area); with great memory: he remembered my Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned. I was very impressed by the branded “O&O” ice cube that accompanied my old fashioned - beautiful detail. Arturo was also quite awesome and made us laugh. He was very personable and inviting and he and my husband had their inside jokes, which was very nice to see. My favorite sushi: Tuna with truffle (melt in your mouth tuna!!); and all 3 Wagyu nigiri but the Rossini is very damn tasty!!! Not enough words of praise exist to describe our wonderful stay at Palmilla. It is obvious that warmth, kindness, impeccable service, and genuine care for guests are their guiding principles. Everything about Palmilla is luxurious (and yes, you will pay for it) but it is worth every peso. Palmilla exceeded our expectations and set the bar very high.…
I can’t say enough good about our family vacation. This resort is second to none and we left there feeling like every single employee was family to us. The genuineness was evident everywhere. Starting with the General Manager Nicolas and all the employees are the best in the business. Simone (the barber) is world class and our butler Victoria was the sweetest and did everything we requested. Alfonzzo, who was at Cabana’s was one of the most down to earth and nicest person I have ever met. I could go on and on and still not cover how great this resort was! We saw whales all day long from our room and the beach and the customer service would be hard to beat anywhere in the world! Congratulations to all involved and we can’t wait to go back!!
One and Only Palmilla is an oasis. We felt so pampered and welcome the entire week. Our hostess texted us after greeting so we could easily contact her if we needed anything. The two beaches were incredible. We snorkeled off the coast at Pelican Beach and relaxed at the other beach, which at times we had to ourselves. Both beaches had full service. The whales were visible from the shore everyday.
Everything from the rooms, views, food, amenities, and staff were five star! My husband, 10 year old daughter, and I were pampered from start to finish. The beautiful rooms and views were awe inspiring. The spa was lovely and quiet, with my massage being absolutely perfect. The golf at La Palmilla was wonderful. Agua and Seared restaurants were delicious and the views and service were excellent. My daughter had a wonderful time at the Kids Only club and the staff were attentive and caring, while also providing wonderful activities. We will return and look forward to seeing the same warm, smiling faces from our stay!
Wow. That pretty much sums it up in one word. I totally get it now. I had heard about a few resorts in Cabo that were top notch but had never been - and now that I have, I will come back again and again (literally already booked my next stay while at the hotel). The service is just beyond. And it feels genuine and warm at all times. Any review that says the resort is tired, I think is perhaps somebody who does not appreciate a more traditional “hacienda” style look and perhaps they want a more modern style. But it’s not like any of the furnishings and linens look tired and worn or cheap. And believe me, I am very picky about those things - I wouldn’t tolerate it, especially in a 5 star setting. It’s very telling that my friend and myself were among the only “newbies” at the resort - everyone we met and spoke to return to the resort every year, if not a few times a year. The entire staff went above and beyond and I honestly don’t even have any other comments to note. I can’t wait to come back.…
If you have read Unreasonable Hospitality or Be Our Guest, you will understand what One and Only is striving for - complete satisfaction. The team here is a family and they extend that same familiarity to their guests. There may be other hotels, but there is no experience like staying at One and Only. From our personal butler Lorenzo to our floating bed waiter Pedro, the experiences you will encounter at One and Only are unlike anything, anywhere. Everyone greets you daily with their hand over their heart and you are blessed with incense as you enter the property. The vibe at One and Only is 100% why we plan to make this our top destination. Even the whales loves coming here because at One and Only, you really are family.
Beautiful property, beach was awesome even though you hear beaches are too rocky in Cabo, beautiful sunrises, awesome breakfast, staff is absolutely incredible. Everyone so nice and accommodating and your never waiting to long for anything you want. My kids who are 9, 8, and 6 had a great time. Room was awesome, our butler was so nice and helpful with anything we needed, spa was great, gym is good, breakfast lunch, and dinner were all good. I highly recommend both Agua and Cuviche.
Again same story - we visit Cabo frequently and our thing to do is explore different 5* resorts. This one is truly truly special - And of all the hotels we have stayed at (Four seasons, Waldorf, Zadun, montage, Chileno, etc) this one truly is the winner. 1. Hands down amazing service. In all key areas, checking process, room service, restaurant service. Just amazing! 2. Rooms are beautiful with art on the way. Very old school and looks beautiful. Rooms could be a little modernized but overall spacious and had everything 3. Restaurants hands down the best part of this resorts. Great food and service. Folks serving us went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Made a special Flan (off menu) to ensure I was happy. Wow! 4. Location location and location. View is amazing and walk straight to the beach and swimmable beach again. Plus! 5. Happiness factor: 10/10. Coming back here again with the family.…
One of the best services we ever had. Wonderful staff ready to go above and beyond. Activities for the whole family. We can't wait to come back. We could see whales from our balcony non stop. Beautiful sun rise and great food.
