The details of this resort are unmatched. From the trimming and removing of single leaves on bushes, to every interaction you have with the staff, it was all immaculate. The food is authentic and drinks are extremely tasty, but there is a price to pay for such a luxurious resort. There is a 16% tax and a 15% service fee on everything you buy, so be prepared to pay 31% above the menu price, as well as any additional tip. I think it is worth it but just make sure you budget for it. There are also great restaurants in San Jose and Cabo San Lucas that won't break the bank as much, so try to sprinkle those in. This is a great midway point between the two big cities and is just paradise while you're there.
Would like to give this property another try. Felt uninformed of the complimentary services the resorts provide but overall, beautiful property with great staff that always say hi to you when you pass. The beach was great! The suite was spacious and nice to hear the sound of the ocean as you sleep.
Fantastic experience. Service cannot be better. From check-in in room to check-out, our week was as calm and relaxful as we wanted. After 18 mo of COVID it came at the right time. We will be back as soon as we can.
My son and I had a wonderful time at the One & Only Palmilla. The staff were very kind, and the facilities were spectacular. I would have no hesitation recommending this resort, and I look forward to returning.
My husband and I visited the One & Only Palmilla (O&OP) several years ago on a group sales incentive trip and since then 2 things have happened. First, I’ve compared every luxury resort experience we’ve had against our stay there and they have all fallen short. And second, I’ve been counting the days till we can go back! This October, we had the opportunity to stay at O&OP to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I’m pleased to say, it was all that we remembered and more. The hotel - The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed with large balconies and gorgeous views of the coastline. Deliciously luxurious bath products, and incredibly comfortable linens and beds complete the relaxing vibe created in the room. The lush grounds and charming common spaces are beautifully kept and the spa, pools, and gym are thoughtfully designed. The entire property exudes warmth and elegance without feeling pretentious or overdone The restaurants – We had the chance to eat in all of the onsite dining offerings and would recommend any of them. Our favorite was Suviche, then Seared, and finally Agua in order of preference. The Breeze restaurant was also very good for breakfast. We especially loved the unique and wonderful smoothies they prepared daily! The service – What makes this resort really stand out against its many worthy competitors is the genuinely friendly and warm service you experience throughout your stay. You feel cared for and pampered from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave (we had 4 staff waving goodbye as we pulled away!) You are greeted by name in almost every exchange and with a smile and a hand over heart each time you encounter any staff member on the property. We also appreciated that the employees were hired from in-country, not transplanted from other O&O resorts in other regions. I’ve never written a review of this length or this exuberance but O&OP is so deserving of this praise and more. All the thoughtful touches they provide throughout your stay make it a truly special experience and worthy of the expense. The only area of improvement I would suggest is to the butler service. It lacks the attention to detail and level of personalization that the rest of the experience at O&OP offers, perhaps because it is understaffed? The service has potential and could be a lovely compliment, but the execution was not there and it was our only source of some disappointment during our stay. If you are considering a trip to the Baja Peninsula and have an opportunity to visit, don’t miss it! We will most certainly be back! Hopefully, sooner rather than later this time.…
