everyone we came across was very accommodating. food in the restaurants were authentic, home style, delicious cooking. located 15 min from san jose and 25 from cabo san lucas. lucky enough to be here for the art walk on thursdays. uber very user friendly. pool staff and restaurant staff were excellent. would love music a little louder at the pool but i get. rented a cabana for a day overlooking the ocean. so happy we did and plan on doing it again next year. you do not get daily housekeeping but if you need something dial 0 and they will bring it to you. i will say the starbucks coffee is hit or miss. if you go into the mercadito you will be asked to put in a mask. as well as restaurants. gracias westin. hasta la proxima!
Overall great time at the Westin! The staff did a great job taking care of us! Dulce Lopez, Mario Navarrete, Daniel Martinez were amazing!! They know how to take care of people and Dulce went above and beyond because we experienced an issue and she turned it around and made a memorable impression on our family!!! We will be back, please ask for these staff members!! They make it special!!! Love you guys!! God bless you all!!
Mario Navarrete - fantastic service with pool cabana at The Westin Los Cabo’s, he and team are very hard working and always striving to provide a great vacation experience. Thank you Mario and team job well done!
My family and I stayed at the Westin for a family vacation. Let me start off by saying the staff at the hotel are the nicest people, always friendly and willing to help you. Especially our attendant Fidel, I appreciated he patiently explained us how to get to our room, he also have us food and activities recommendations. Highly recommend looking for him if you need recommendations on what to do in Cabo.
Do not stay here. Customer service is absolutely the worst in 10+ years traveling Mexico and the Caribbean. Go to their Cancun location before you come here. Staff is rude, inattentive and no one cares about what is going on around them. Not one good experience with any bartender, waiter or staff.
We had an ok stay at the Westin Los Cabos. Hospitality staff (servers, bellhops etc we’re great) special shout out to Francisco Ocampo who helped make out stay more enjoyable despite a few short comings. We were in a room, one of a few with not much of a view except for the neighboring property building. The room was dark and not updated. If you peaked thru the cracks you could see a bit of the ocean. Daily construction down below made sitting on the balcony and enjoying the neighboring building less than desirable. We stayed out and away from the room as much as possible. Francisco’s light heartedness and sense of humor really helped us relax and enjoy.
I will start out positive - the room was recently redone and spectacular. We had an amazing view. I can’t say enough great things about our room. Needs improvement- the staff doesn’t smile and isn’t helpful. Front desk isn’t pleasant. Concierge is pretty useless. That look everything up on the Internet. I can do that. The pool area seating is very limited. Chairs look old and worn. Difficult to get service. Restaurants- no where nice to eat. The nicer one is closed from a hurricane last year with no re-opening date. I heard there is a restaurant at the beginning of the entrance, but no one mentioned except a guest out last night. It is very obvious there is a lack of leadership at this property. It doesn’t run smoothly and staff seem unhappy. Main hotel spaces look tired. Staff worth mentioning: Emmanuel, bellman is great. Friendly, smiling and helpful. Abner was also nice. We didn’t find Erick in Concierge until our last day. He actually knows places to go. He was the only one to give us a property map and map of San Jose del Cabo. We had asked others and got nothing. Also, if you are not agile, this is not the property for you. Lots of steps and steel ramps. I generally like Westins a lot, but this one is a skip…
We had a very fun dinner last night and Sergio went above and beyond with his service, made it a very special nice evening with family and always had a little surprise every time he checked in on us. He even gave us to go drinks on him in cup we could take back to our room! Looking forward to going back to see him soon.
I have made numerous requests - to be refunded for overcharged COVID test (948.88 peso/46.80 USD/44.84 euro and to obtain a copy of a receipt from the Marketplace for 4,985.00 peso/245.90 USD/235.55 euro. These are very small & simple requests and are not huge amounts. However, it is very concerning that this resort refuses to respond. Their indifference is totally appalling.
The hotel quotes in dollars and then uses an inflated conversion rate to pesos, so you end up paying $15 more than the quoted rate. When disputed at the front desk, they said that they can use any exchange rate, acting like they’re a bank. I asked for the policy in writing, they couldn’t give me anything & said they would email it later – of course they never sent anything. Other Westins in Mexico have used the official Mexican government exchange rate, but not this one.
