At The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas, many guests enjoy the expansive, immaculate rooms adorned with ocean views, although there have been occasional issues with room assignments and upkeep. The service typically exceeds expectations, with staff going above and beyond, though a few incidents of slow service have been noted. While the hotel's cleanliness is universally commended, some travelers feel the costs for amenities, including dining, do not match the value received. The hotel's setting wins hearts with its breathtaking vistas and proximity to attractions, and while the atmosphere is generally positive, a few find the decor somewhat somber. The pools and activity offerings are highlights, adding to the allure despite the occasional maintenance gripe.

We had a wonderful six night stay at the Westin in Los Cabos during the first week in November! We were greeted and checked in at the front desk by a lovely young lady named Odelina. She was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Sadly, we didn’t get the names of our Bellmen when we arrived and departed, but they were very kind and helpful! The one young man was even kind enough to put all of our refrigerated items in the refrigerator for us!
Esther was our concierge, who was so very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with all of our questions. She arranged a tour for us, as well as made our dinner and brunch reservations, and offered suggestions on where to go and what to see during our stay. We enjoyed our stay in a very accommodating studio with a great view of the ocean, and we were highly impressed with how professional, helpful, and friendly all of the staff was, the cleanliness of the resort, and the precautions they were taking for COVID-19! We enjoyed a few delicious meals at the on-site restaurant and we spent numerous hours at the beautiful pool area overlooking the beach and ocean. The resort sits a ways back from the main road which makes it very quiet. At night about the only thing you hear is the ocean waves hitting the beach, which reminds me, our bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept like a baby! The resort is not really a walkable distance to anywhere, but San Jose del Cabo is a short Uber/drive away, and Cabo San Lucas is probably about a 20 minute drive. We did spend one lovely afternoon at the owners resort next door, Baja Point, watching the sunset. We did rent a car (two women in their early sixties) which allowed us to venture out to a beach in La Paz, dinner in Todos Santos, and hiking into a waterfall near Santiago. We totally enjoyed visiting the Los Cabos area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin los Cabos Resort Villas &Spa. Probably the only drawback to the resort I think potential guests may like to know, is the ocean in front of the resort is very beautiful and picturesque, but it is not safe to go in, due to strong currents and undertows.

The Westin Los Cabos has quickly become our go to place for our Anniversary. This was our third yearly visit and we already look forward to next year. We enjoy the Studio Villa for just my husband and myself. It is clean, very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped should one chose to prepare an easy meal in the room. The bed is delightfully comfortable. The view from the room is stunning and one can easily see whales out in the Sea of Cortez as they frolic. The balcony is so nice to sit out on and enjoy a glass of wine or other preferable beverage. We like the location as it is on the quieter side of what one might experience in Cabo, which we did enjoy last year for a few days prior to going to the Westin. We do like is for this reason as it really gives us that opportunity to decompress. With that said, it is pretty easy to catch an Uber, Taxi or bus to either Cabo or San Jose del Cabo should you want an outing. There are several restaurants on the property, serving breakfast to dinner as well as a small Mercantile with the necessities as well as Starbucks Coffee. Should you want more, there are many restaurants and several grocery stores close by for just a $5 or $6 Uber trip. Our favorite is Chedraui Selecto grocery. The service on the property is in my opinion, excellent. The staff at the Westin go above and beyond to make ones visit special. We tend to spend most of our time on the beach, where the chairs are comfortable and under umbrellas. The pool bar and staff is exceptional, to name just a few would be Edgar and Carlos. Sadly, I do not recall all the names, but they as well are so friendly and do their best to accommodate and take care of the customer. This is the third year in a row that we have gone for our anniversary, and each visit only becomes so much more special! Again, a special shout out to Edgar and Carlos for making our day and our visit so very special!! Thank you both! My husband and I are already looking forward to our next visit in a year. There was only one experience that was unpleasant, and that was having to leave and return home!

We stayed at the Westin Los Cabos for 1 week in a two bedroom unit. The rooms were nice and clean and the views from the balconies can’t be beat. Plenty of USB plugs by outlets. One clock in each bedroom comes with different types of plugs as well.

The coffee maker took some getting used to in terms of operating, but that’s what Google is for :) Requests for more coffee were delivered swiftly and with a smile.

All of the pools were open during our time there. They are fabulous. Loungers in the shade can be hard to find. You don’t want to be in the punishing Mexican sun for too long.

The beach can be rocky so bring your water shoes to walk on the beach. But some fascinating shells can be found.

Mayra was our concierge and was extremely helpful and friendly. We felt very safe staying at the hotel, a lot of cleaning happened at all hours.

Be aware that this resort is isolated on the tourist corridor. We rented a car. You could theoretically take the bus, but it’s a half mile walk from the lobby to the road.
Because we’re owners, the parking charge was waived for us. For non-owners, it’s $10/day which can add up. There is a Fresko grocery store minutes away to stock up on groceries.

And yes, I’m the dork who takes pictures of the tv channel guides so people reading this review can see what the offerings are :)

Just returned from 3 week vacation at Westin Los Cabos Villas. My daughter and I had the most awesome experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that ensuring a safe COVID environment was top priority to every staff member. Our temperatures were taken, our luggage was sprayed with disinfectant, and we had to dip shoes in disinfectant. Rooms were immaculate, clickers covered in plastic, every person at resort wore mask all day whether indoors or outdoors. I have not been anywhere in the USA that has taken such extraordinary measures and where staff has uniformly exercised mask and distancing to such a great extent.

A big shoutout to our pool waiters, Antonio and Jesus, who did a spectacular job servicing us every day. They had to run up several flights of stairs to get our food and drinks every day for lunch. They did cheerfully and with great speed and care. Can't say enough about them. I wish the USA would be as uniform and diligent!

We signed up to stay at the Westin since I am a lifetime gold Bonvoy member but also due to an offer to stay at the resort for a discounted fee in exchange for attending the session on joining the Westin Vacation family.

The hotel is nice with several different options for dining, enjoying various pools plus lots of activities. Our room was an efficiency - nicely decorated, clean and definitely perfect for our stay there. We didn't use the small kitchen as we were only there for 4 days but it certainly is a nice perk for people who prefer to make their own breakfasts or enjoy a meal or two "at home" to save some money.

The dining options are nice with good to great food. There are also several pool options to enjoy the sun and a cocktail or two. But the kindness, sincerity and friendliness of the staff is what makes the place so wonderful. I didn't go there wanting to join the club but, in the end, we did sign up as their location is great (short distance to both San Jose and San Lucas), the hotel feels very safe for any age and the level of service and attention was what we needed for an easy, fun getaway.

Highly recommend.

My family decided to take a quick getaway and choose the Westin because we wanted a place with a kitchen for breakfast because our little ones are particular. We arrived and we were quickly checked in by Emmanuel, who was beyond gracious, ( I wish I could remember his supervisor's name because he was very kind as well). Everybody had on masks and they even have the shoe sanitizer mat, the pens are in plastic and are sanitized after being used. It truly is a worry free vacation spot. First let me say ( even though clearly this isn't the first thing I've written) the grounds are breathtaking. The resort is set in mountain (well sort of) and the landscaping and architecture is indescribable. We get to the room (with the help of Raul, who was very pleasant) and as soon as you open the door all you see is the Sea of Cortez!! You don't even care about how comfortable and spacious the room is all we could focus on is the view. This isn't our first trip to Cabo and I don't think we have had a room so close to the beach. We changed and headed down to the restaurant because we were starving... because you know getting through the airport and car rental place is a ridiculous adventure (please see other reviews and advice on how to navigate that). There is only one restaurant open which isn't a problem because the menu has enough variety and if you don't see what you want on there you can always ask. (I know this to be true because we had to). My kids couldn't wait to go to the pool so we left the outdoor seating area and walked down. Our waiter who was there everyday we were there, Antonio, was A1!! Look for him when you go. He knows everything! He's quiet but if you ask him anything he has a solution and a funny remark. David, the pool concierge, was there to clean every surface before we sat or laid out our stuff. I could go on and on about this place but I won't. I travel a lot with my children and have been traveling a long time (my eldest is 19) and you learn to appreciate really genuine good customer service. Not the syrupy smiling for a tip but feeling like the people that are there to help actually want to help. It's a great feeling and I believe that this will be the only resort my family stays at whenever we're in Cabo. Even in these unprecedented times the Westin was in top form!!

We have stayed at the Westin many times and have always been happy with the attention from the pool staff and waiters. This time, however, they went beyond the call of duty. David Abarca, Claudia, Raul, Jesus, Lorenzo, Osdy and Carlos were all fabulous and especially attentive to my parents who are 88 and 91 years old. They checked in with us often to make sure we had everything we needed. I wish I could remember the name of the young man who got our car for us every evening. My husband has a disability scooter and this young man was so helpful with getting it folded up and into / out of the trunk. He was always smiling and affable. Love, love, love the staff here!!!!!! Now the downside. When we got into our room it was dirty. There were large greasy streaks on all of the dining chairs as if little kids with dirty hands used the arms as paper napkins. The dining table and floors were dirty and when I opened the small tea pot it had dried remains of tea or coffee in it. We had no kitchen towels and no cloth to wash the dishes. We complained and it got the attention of management. After that our room was cleaned daily and mid-stay we got a plate of sweets with a note saying that they hoped we were enjoying our time there. Unfortunately, we just wanted the room clean when we got there...not all of the extra stuff. The small tables by the pool need to be replaced ( the surface is peeling off) and they should take better care of the outside pavement. There were lots of dirty spots and occasionally they would have someone go out with a teeny tiny bucket and scrub brush to clean the worst patches. What they need to do is invest in a power washer and routinely scrub the steps and all of the pavement at the pool and restaurants.

Just home from four days at this massive resort, with great memories of a Valentine's getaway. The staff here is very friendly and we were treated very well by everyone on property - a truly warm, Cabo welcome. Our room (Villa suite on the 7th floor) had a very comfortable bed and felt brand new. The ocean views were so pleasing and the whale watching (from the balcony of the room) was astonishing. Did not love the food at Cocina Casera but appreciated the wonderful sandwiches at the Mercatido where we went for daily Starbucks - and took taxis to other restaurants on the peninsula for our dinners. The pool and beach are really wonderful and the weather is spectacular - even in mid February. Loved the friendly Canadian visitors there for the same reason we were (sun). It is a very large resort with a LOT of stairs, so mobility would be important as a visitor. We also purchased a couples massage, which took place on an outdoor table with the ocean as a backdrop. The skill of the therapists and the pricing was excellent. The architecture was striking and framed the ocean views beautifully and the location in the Cabo corridor is excellent. We felt very relaxed after four days here.

Booked well in advance to get a great room. The resort is nearly perfect. We stayed in the Baja Point side and the views were breathtaking. Service was top notch across the resort and paying attention to every detail! The staff was super friendly and welcoming! We payed for the morning buffet breakfast and well worth it. We used a limo from the airport and stopped at the Fresco market on the way near the hotel and it had a great selection and could easily cater for lunches and snacks for a nice stay. Only downside was a change in room assignments which was an “upgrade” in space but a downgrade in ammenities from a jacuzzi room which I caught 24 hours in advance and took some pressure to get back the original room but they ended up giving us a great location starting day two. Will be back again next year for sure.

My wife and I spent a week at this resort and it totally exceeded our expectations! It was our first time to Los Cabos and we will be coming back again because of our wonderful experience at the Westin.

First, the location at Baja Point is spectacular, the way the waves break on the beach is mesmerizing. The resort is kept spotlessly clean and everyone who works at the resort is very friendly and customer service driven.

It is close to San Jose del Cabo which has a wonderful historic town center with art galleries, restaurants, cantinas and great architecture. It is far enough from Cabo San Lucas to avoid the party crowd there, but yet you can take an Uber there to enjoy day trips on the water.

Our oceanfront studio was perfect for the two of us, and we could hear the waves break on the beach all night long, a very relaxing sound. This is the only resort we will ever stay in when we visit Los Cabos. We will make visits back as often as possible!

I think that's what it is. It has a swim up bar and I've not seen kids in it the times we have visited. There is a pool on the other side where I've seen kids and family/pool activities going on. it is visible from the what I consider "adult" pool. Hope this helps

Not sure what “seasonal” would mean in this case. Suspect the pools are open. We have been in Dec-Jan as well as Feb, and pool bar is open. I guess you could always contact the property itself and ask.
