This resort is one sexy, hip and cool resort. Reminds me of a Pendry in the USA. The grounds are well kept, service is amazing. The views of the arc are the best in Cabos unless you are floating. Pool is just the right temperature. Rooms are sexy. Very roomy and a see through shower. All rooms have views to the arc. Nice Mezcal welcome bottle to get your party started. The rooftop bar is amazing. Now, my favorite dish I had in all of Cabos was actually from the sushi chef at the bar in the lobby at the Cape. I wish I can remember her name. She is a doll and an amazing sushi chef. World class. I am a new Vegan. And finding Vegan food can be a bit of a challenge. But at times I give that challenge to the chefs or cooks. This time I asked the sushi chef to make me two vegan rolls (Not on the menu). I wanted to have two complementary rolls to the miso soup which is amazing. Once she served me the rolls I got to say that those are the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had even greater than specialty regular sushi rolls that I’ve tried all across the world. They were so good that I returned the next evening to just get her sushi rolls. She created amazing vegan rolls from different ingredients, and they were better than any sushi I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend if you are in the area, to try her vegan sushi rolls. I will guarantee you’ll love them. BTW: she is a Vegan too. Great resort over all. Will recommend staying here.…
My Wife and I just returned (July 16th-23rd) from Cabo after staying at The Cape, and while this was our first time back in Cabo since 2019, this is our 2nd stay at this hotel. Originally, we had some concerns with the hotel changing ownership to Hyatt and reading some of the reviews, we were afraid that the hotel might have lost its vibe we had originally fell in love with 3 years ago. Our worries quickly melted away as soon as we arrived: While there is an increase in guests staying at the Cape, we felt that the hotel has kept the same high standard that we had come to expect. Anyone complaining about the change over or trivial details at the hotel is likely a World of Hyatt Member (an insufferable group of travelers who expect way too much from hotels even at the best resorts. I'm sure they would find something to complain about even staying at Esparanza but alas they don't have points rewards...). I say this AS a rewards traveler myself. Seriously, no one cares that it took an extra 5 min for your Margarita, some paint has chipped, or my favorite "there is no diving board (yes, that was a real review...). THE TRIP: Having stayed this trip for 8 days, we experienced nearly all the hotel had to offer. Manta is still top notch, and the Rooftop is a must at sunset and for a quick pop in for a night cap before ending the night. The gym does get busy after 9am so if you plan on getting a bench or access to the free weights, plan on getting their early. One of the better additions are the two Peloton bikes (No need to bring your shoes as they provide a few pairs or you can use the toe cages that one of the bikes offers). As for the pool, we never had any issues getting a chair, even if we came down at noon or when returning from a day trip around the city (one day there were 3 big wedding parties all down at once and still had no issues). Poolside service is excellent (Lenny!!!) and everyone that assisted us went above and beyond to help. For better or worse, the overpriced coffee shop has been replaced by a retail store, but you can still get you caffeine fix at the center bar at considerably better cost. The location could not be any more perfect; you are maybe 15min away from DT Cabo San Lucas and a short Uber to San Jose (35min). There is also a Freska (Grocery store) right across the highway and a mini market at the Sunrock resort that shares the same drive as the Cape. Jazz on the Rocks/Sunset MonaLisa are walking distance, but I believe you can pay for a driver service to take you up to the entrance if you so choose. Highly recommend making the trip out to Acre and Flora Farms. Shout out to my guy Lenny who gave us the VIP treatment EVERY DAY. He made the trip a 10/10 always ready with drinks, food, even taking the time to let us try some amazing tequila. By the 3rd day, he knew I wanted an expresso at 3pm and without asking it would be waiting by my chair. Sometimes, we would forget that Lenny was working and treated him as a friend. Great conversation, helpful (he was able to help fix TWO reservations on our trip to way better times and tables!), and above all extremely professional. Because of Lenny, we were introduced to all the All-Star staff: Bernie (manager) and Joe (supervisor) always around with a friendly hello, Miguel always ready with the towels and pretty much knew exactly which chairs we wanted without asking :) and of course Jamie with pool concierge who was our other go to guy and was always at the ready with even the smallest asks (water bottle's, extra towel, fix the shade, etc.). Last by not least, thank you to the crew working the center bar in the mornings (I apologize, but I can't recall any names), but they were fast and friendly and make great Chai Tea Lattes, espressos, and whatever other coffee specialties you may need. I highly recommend this resort for all the above which makes it hard to want to stay anywhere else all things considered. We can't wait to come back!…
The Cape is a first class Property perfectly situated on a pristine stretch of surfing beach from which one can watch whales passing in the distance and cruise ships in the near harbour. Accom & Staff-Eduardo, Carlos,Reyna- first class!
This was our 1st time to Cabo and this please exceeded expectations. We had a king room and it was awesome. Comfy bed & linens, unreal views (glass door slides way open- you feel like you're hovering above the sea), amazing room service, nice bath products and nice/stylish furniture. The service was 10/10. We used the concierges a lot (Brideth & Berenice & Fernanda) and they were awesome. The pool was incredible - comfy chairs, nice towels, amazing view of the sea. Jose was fun & so attentive. We ate at Manta and it was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had- special, intentional & formal service, incredible food. Our server was amazing I wish I could remember his name. All food was great- the service was top notch everywhere. Great drinks. We didn't use the gym or spa but both looked so nice. The beach was so pretty, water was cold (it's Jan) but watching the surfers was fun. Cant imagine how things could have been nicer. Prices were a bit high but was expected and honestly worth it. Next door is Sunset Mona Lisa... we didn't go (we went to Acre & Nobu & the hotels restaurants) but its supposed to be great w the same unreal views. Traveling on Sunday and taking advantage of the Sunday promo was great too :) Cant wait to come back. Thank you!…
Beautiful hotel and some of the best views possible of the arch right from the room. Best service and food. Thank you to Judith, Alexis and Isla for the great hospitality and service. Very professional staff, with great knowledge of the hotel and city. The drinks and service was 5 starts.
My wife and I went for an extended weekend trip and did not want to leave. The room was luxurious, spacious and so beautiful - we felt right at home. The welcome bottle of Tequila did not hurt either! All the restaurant and pool menu items we ordered were delicious, and the service was above and beyond. Jaime the pool concierge was a particular delight. Always anticipating guests needs and even going as far to point out whenever there was a whale spotted in the ocean! His attitude and enthusiasm were infectious. The views - Sunrise, Mid-Day, Sunset - were spectacular. We felt relaxed and refreshed when we got home and already planning our next visit to The Cape.
Our time at The Cape was magical. The views, the staff and the food were amazing. The beds are very comfortable. The brunch on Sunday is one of the best if not the best we’ve ever had. I recommend this hotel to families with children, couples and friends groups. The rooftop bar/grill has spectacular views and atmosphere!
The weather has been crap here and I needed a break. Having never been to Cabo, I looked and saw it was warm and then looked some more and found The Cape and am I glad that I did. This was a beautiful hotel in a great spot, close to town/marina but far enough away so it felt private. I would get up in the morning, go to the gym and watch the whales out front. The food was fantastic, especially Manta, and I never left the property. I can not say enough about how great the staff was, every single one of them and only wish I had written down their names for this review. Anything even remotely negative would be a small small nit but I will say that I wish that they had had a mescal list, with descriptions etc. as they had numerous mescals but no real information. You see this type speciality list with bourbon and scotch and mescal/tequila deserves the same treatment. I also think they should even more emphasize Mexico and Mexican food and beverages because it was excellent. The final question is always, "would I go back" and my answer here is "absolutely without hesitation".…
The Cape is wonderfully located on Sunset Point. The staff is very attentive and knows their guest. Jaime, pool concierge, was terrific in getting you set up poolside. Lenny, Aldo, Ivan, Fabian, and many others made sure you had beverage and food service poolside. The breakfast at the Ledge was great and carried one through to dinner. The Rooftop has a great sunset view and nice food. Poolside and on the Rooftop you will get a younger vibe with EDMusic going in the afternoon and evening(sometimes more than was to our taste). Manta is a beautiful room, good food, but a bit overpriced. We stayed in a 5th floor Thompson/Cape suite which was great. All rooms have ocean views with site lines of Sunset MonaLisa on one side and Cabo on the other. Lanaii had nice seating and a small table. A little cool in January(low 70's) per comparison to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, and drier, more desert like. The hot tub next to the pool seemed to get a little more use than the infinity pool(heated, but still cooler when air cooler). Great views from the pool area looking out at the bay(whale season, spouts, breaches), sunsets, cruise ships, Los Arcos. About 20 minute taxi ride in to Cabo and 40-50 minute ride to San Jose Airport. There were 3 weddings/events while we were there and fun to observe from a distance. Thursday thru Sunday were busiest days, Monday thru Wednesday quieter, for this time of year. …
My best friend and I just happened to choose The Cape for our 40th Birthday getaway. We were looking to get away from the kids, work and just unwind. We had the absolute best experience and I would recommend The Cape to anyone. We felt extremely well taken care of. The staff was so friendly and warm. The food was so good, the drinks were delicious. We worked out everyday in the gym facility. Both my friend and I feel like we had the best massage of our lives from Juanita and Banesa. The massage and spa experience was worth every dollar. We really appreciate the entire concierge crew who helped us make reservations and coordinate a whale watching tour. We spent many hours reading by the pool and loved the friendly and attentive pool staff. Highly recommend to any friends or couples looking to get away and unwind! …
