First, will describe what's great about the hotel. The views are wonderful and the rooms very nice. We appreciated the plentiful filtered water and all of the restaurants were very good with great service. We loved the breakfasts and rooftop bar experience. It was peaceful and lovely in the morning watching the whales and surfers. The downside of the hotel is the extremely loud music at the pool. when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon the pool was packed and a DJ was playing excruciatingly loud music. We finally found a seat near the small pool that was not quite as loud. There were several weddings onsite and we couldn't get access to the rooftop bar for sunset. The next day (superbowl Sunday) was even louder so we avoided the pool scene. Finally on Monday it quieted down and we got a cabana for the day, but we would never return on a weekend. They also would not combine our reservations of one award night with 2 additional paid nights in a suite. Ugh, do not appreciate having to move rooms. No upgraded rooms were offered for a globalist. We asked twice in advance to combine the reservations and they assured me the front desk would attend to it at check-in, the front desk just shrugged and said no. we also had several service issues, we called and asked for the living lights to be fixed while we were out, nothing was done so we had to call again once we returned after being out the entire day. We did not appreciate the malfunctioning smoke alarm that went off constantly the last hour of our stay, called and they first told us everything was ok not to worry. Had to call them several times for them to send someone to make it stop--not a peaceful way to end the stay.

We came here to celebrate our first anniversary after getting engaged at the rooftop bar two years prior- and the Cape did not disappoint! From check-in to check-out, the experience was perfect!
Friendly staff welcomed us into the hotel and checked us in, with a lovely mezcal and water to refresh!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch looking onto the beach before popping down to the pool for an afternoon swim. We lucked out with a cabana spot and enjoyed the tunes that the DJ played. We really loved that while it was dance music, there were many remixes of songs that most people at the hotel would probably know, so the vibe was more “let’s have fun” than “dance party”- this is SO GREAT for people not looking to be forced into a club at the pool (we’re too old for that!) but who want to have some fun and enjoy! Really loved!
The room was great, large bathroom, lovely balcony with a romantic swing. We adored the tequila and chili candy pairing and really appreciated the extra attention to our anniversary celebration (a surprise prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries awaited us in-room when we returned from dinner!)
We can’t wait to come back next year and stay longer!
A particular shout out to Angie, Fer and Abraham who were so wonderful in checking us in, out and making sure we would be back! Thank you!

Wow is all I can say. We have stayed at some nice properties all over the world and The Cape is among the best. Stunning views, consistently excellent food & drinks, and above-and-beyond service make it worth every penny.

Check in & Transport:
We did the hotels transportation service from the airport and found it seamless and a relaxed and refined start to our trip. We swung by a grocery store on the way to the resort. When we arrived to the resort, we were greeted warmly, given a welcome drink, and upgraded a room category. Very good first impression.

Room:
Our room was the deluxe ocean view. Our favorite feature was the balcony and the swing. We had absolutely stunning views right from the room and we enjoyed watching the sunset, ordering room service breakfast and eating it on the balcony, or drinking a beer and vibing. HUGE shout out to the housekeeping team who kept everything immaculate and went above and beyond in their attention to detail.

Pool:
The infinity pool is gorgeous, even better than pictures. We never found it to be crowded and had no trouble getting a lounger in our preferred location at any time of day. The vibes were elegant and laid back. No loud music or DJ, no party vibes. People having a good time, hanging by the bar, listening to music, yes, but very refined, not spring break. We really enjoyed the pool side service as well.

Restaurants:
Everything we ate, from pool side to fine dining at Manta, was great. We did a tasting menu at Manta for a birthday dinner and our server Gerardo and Daniel were friendly, thoughtful, and gave us great service and recommendations. They made a special night even more special! The Rooftop & The Ledge were great as well -- good views, good food, great service.

Spa:
We were at The Cape during a big storm and had a spa reservation during the height of the storm. We were so grateful they were still able to do our massages. Very appreciative of their work to clear out water, avoid flooding, and keep everything safe, clean, and dry. The massage therapists, Banesa and Norma, were both excellent and gave great restorative massages as well as caring service.

Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with our experience and we will definitely be back!

I researched so many hotels from Cabo to Todo Santos for months and months … and while I was Looking at the Cape often… I just didn’t commit -as the price, especially at NEW YEARS, was way high. We typically move around a lot on vacation to check out different hotels- we love to do that, but the Cape didn’t end making the cut…. UNTIL the end of our vacation because every other place we stayed at fell short! At the last minute we left another property in El Pescadero to drive to the Hyatt Cape and were so glad we did!!! Feel free to read my other reviews of Paredero, Kimpton Los Mas Olas, and Hyatt Ziva…. Just know that our two nights at the Cape were absolutely extraordinary! You get what you pay for at the Cape! It actually is good value for the price now that I’ve experienced the competition. Other places you pay top $ and don’t get the service that you should.
The Cape is 100% 5 star!!!
The location is phenomenal- it literally is the best best spot to view a Cabo sunset, and you don’t even have to leave your room. It’s like watching the most breathtaking painting that changes colors every minute in the sky! It’s absolutely stunning. Note too the room service menu is excellent- so honestly you can just hunker down on your balcony, get room service and totally chill for the evening! Plus the design of the room is so classy and fun you want to take advantage of the room! Tho take one night to go to The Roof - the bar and food are stunning there too and the vibe is fantastic. It’s small so make a reservation. They have yoga there in the mornings too. The gym was excellent- again with amazing view!
The service is 5 Star, everyone is helpful and lovely.
We came from places that were so obnoxiously loud party party atmosphere or dead quiet and service that no where met the price of the places (Paradero).
There is only one reason not to stay at the Cape and that’s if you really want a huge sprawling all inclusive resort, vs a hotel…other than that I highly recommend The Cape - especially for couples. It’s absolutely a beautiful very romantic place to stay! Thank you to all the amazing staff! Everyone was fantastic!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. I visited with my wife and the aesthetics, vibe and people staying at the hotel were great. There were hardly any to zero kids, and the kids the families that had kids definitely made sure the kids were quiet and well
Mannered. There were no major drawbacks, only a few suggestions or changes we had

Food 4.5 of 5 ( duck tacos, fresh fish were stars, free buffet had good tasting options). All food was great except the Manta, would probably be a 5 if we didnt go to the Manta.

Room 4.5 of 5 ( the rooms are well
Thought out and good size, the balcony setup was poor with the suspended lounge sofa facing the wall instead of the ocean. Also no usable fridge ( the one in the room is jam packed with their item to sell)

Grounds 4.75 of 5 love though setup, aesthetic and the atmosphere. Very nice. Minor critique is pool cues were all bad.

Service 5 of 5 excellent service in all areas, really no complaints! They came and cleaned or kept up the room multiple times a day, very attentive to details as well. They even Allowed us to order food from one of the restaurants on a different floor at the roof top bar! Luis was great at the ledge.

Entertainment 4.5. Rooftop bar was nice with a good sunset view and perfect ocean views. One night the band was not very good (just not our type of music) the second night the band was really good. Drinks were good here as well.

Value 4 of 5 although we would stay here again and felt that the price was justified, the service charges were definitely a lot and overall cost was “up there” hence why the rating here since this is not a “value” but would definitely recommend!

The property and rooms are wonderful. However, for the price, the overall stay experience and service was not 5 stars, but closer to a 3 star property. We stayed at the property for 4 days/3 nights and by 5PM each day our room had not been cleaned and we needed to call for the service to be completed. While trying to environmentally conscious, they provide you with refillable filtered water and glasses. However, they do not provide you with new glasses each day, so you just had your glass for 4 days to be used. The service at breakfast was non-existent. We had to go get our own silverware and napkins because it was taking so long, constantly ask for items that we ordered. With that being said, the SPA staff and masseuses' were amazing and highly recommend the SPA facilities. The pool staff was wonderful each day as well.

What can I say, this was a fantastic experience. Spent 6 days here with my wife and two teens from the NU area. A few wonderful things to point out, the views of El Arco and the infinity pool go with out saying, the views were gorgeous, the hotel is well located, but what put the stay over the top was the wonderful staff, Carlos, Gustavo, Hugo and Fernanda by the pool area are some of the hardest working people, went to every length to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The place tends to attract two types of guests, party people from Thurs to Sat and families more visible from Mon onward. The Fri we arrived the NY Jets (some of them) were here partying it up with their groupees. The DJ and music was center stage, but respectful of the start and end times for music given the resort. We counted 4 weddings and 2 corporate events so the resort was busy for the time here, but honestly the place outside of the pool and public areas was tranquil and well maintained. The food at the different restaurants on the resort were exceptional with excellent service provided by Faustino and Lauro at Manta one night. Loved the Korean BBQ chicken. And a tall gentleman so attentive at The Sunken Bat another night with fish tempura tacos (so good). The breakfasts at the Ledge were attended by wonderful wait staff and presented a nice mix of resort quality breakfasts eggs and so forth and some local Mexican dishes very tastefully prepared as well. We relied on uber to explore the area namely Cabo San Lucas a few times and Cabo San Jose last day. The stay was not inexpensive, so bring your credit cards, but the Mexican people here and the area are so worth it. We ate off the property a few times Los Tres Gallos one night and at Tacos Gardenia another night great food and atmosphere complete with mariachi band at first and basic vut so good at the latter restaurant. Overall, this was our first time here, but wont be our last. Thank you anf best of luck!

The overall experience was very good at the hotel, although there are a few minor things that can be improved. I am writing this not as criticism but as comments to enhance what is already very nice.

1) We need a coffee machine inside the room. It is ridiculous to charge $9-12 for a simple coffee or latte after the taxes and a 15% mandatory service charge in their cafe.

2) We need complimentary water in a larger bottle. Initially, we were given two small bottles of water for both drinking and brushing our teeth. However, when I asked for more, they gave me four additional bottles. It is such a waste of plastic bottles that could have been avoided by providing a more substantial portion in the first place.

3) We need to have larger-sized slippers. The ones provided were only suitable for someone with small feet. If you wear shoes size 8 and above, you won't be able to use them.

4) We would like to access our shampoo and conditioner easily while showering. They were placed quite high above, making it hard to reach them unless you picked up the entire bottle from the shelf.

5) We would like to have free fresh apples and bananas. Many hotels make fresh fruits available for their guests for free, but the cape doesn't do that. So, after spending several days there, I was craving some fresh uncut fruits. We would much rather have daily fresh fruits than a free bottle of tequila or champagne in the room.

People there were kind while the setting was quiet and relaxing. Thank you.

Had a great experience at the Cape! We were here for a wedding and asked for early check in, we got there at 2 pm for check in when regular check in is at 3 pm and our room was not ready until 3:20 pm. Once we were checked in our room had beautiful views with a nice daybed swing on the balcony. The hotel is located in a private cove with a private beach, the beach is not very swimmable and mostly for surfers. The pool was our favorite part as the views were to die for and it had a jacuzzi. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping did a turn down service each night which was very convenient. We did room service one of the mornings for breakfast and also ate at the pool for lunch and the The Ledge for breakfast as well. We were there for a wedding so it was nice to have mostly everything located at the hotel itself. The staff was always very helpful and we are excited to come back again soon!

Beautiful boutique resort in a beautiful spot right on the beach. Unfortunately it’s hard to truly relax at this resort as everything is grossly overpriced. There are 4 different locations to eat, all of them with unique and delicious food, but all at a high price point. If you are relaxing at the pool and want a quick lunch be prepared to pay the price for a fancy dinner. A simple cheese quesadilla (which was 3 small taco sized quesadillas with guacamole (no chips) and pico was $27! The location isn’t walkable to any other restaurants so you are stuck eating there unless you have a vehicle or want to pay for Ubers (that will take you 10 min in the wrong direction due to the one way right outside of the resort). Use caution when booking excursions from this resort because you will be charged a premium and won’t be getting anything better than what those spending much less are getting. The information from them was very limited and we were disappointed with both excursions we booked. Poor value for the luxury prices we paid. We had stayed at several other boutique resorts and the pricing here was much higher.
The resort itself is beautiful and the views are amazing. Most rooms offer a balcony couch/swing which was very relaxing and a great place to enjoy coffee when watching surfers or enjoying the view.
Unfortunately this isn’t a place I could recommend to many knowing just how pricey every little thing is. Disappointing.
