It was a nice hotel. But realized that people could play their own music whenever they want wherever they want as long as they pay off the Lifeguard / security, that was only the one big disappointment. It put a damper on our vacation. The shows were good the food was good the staff was nice.
Came here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in October 2018 for 3 nights/4 days. Everything was great. Food is delicious and my favorite is the buffet. We tried the steakhouse on our first night but end up getting our dessert in the buffet. Buffet restaurant have a vast variety of food that we didn’t even bother to go to their specialty restaurants on rest of our stay. Their entertainment ends at 11:00 pm but guests can go to the sister hotel next door which is Riu Santa Fe, Pacha, a nightclub is open late, most of the guests are below the 40 age bracket.Riu palace guests can dine, drink and dance at Riu Santa Fe but Santa Fe guest can’t do it in Riu Palace. Service is good too, staff were very nice and friendly but the only challenge is the language barrier since most of the staff can’t speak English. I highly recommend this hotel and looking forward for more pleasant experience. …
Loved our stay for 2 weeks! The points you earn being a member, so far, is frustrating! The friends we brought in have stayed 3 more times, and still have no points. The points we DID get seem a waste of time for the amount of time, effort, and money we put in. Hotel is different then points program, and points program doesn't communicate with Hotel.. on and on...
Booked this vacation 11 days prior departure. Direct flight was nice to spend more time in the sun. Our arrival to the hotel was at 1pm and we were not able to check in early but able to eat and lounge around at the beach. Housekeeping was still in our room at 3pm check in so just dropped our bags in the room and headed back to beach/pool area. Food and drinks were good, service was good too. Our room had ocean view so that was awesome, room is dated a bit although and sliding balcony door could use repair. Housekeeping or mini fridge person took one of my husbands candy bars-really not the big of deal but the principal of it. The Riu pool parties were not our thing so not much for entertainment/night life at the resort.
This was our second time at this resort and we will be back! We found the employees to be more friendly this stay than the last! The only thing I would change was the room. It had no view! Swim out looking towards the Santa Fe. But we really like the PEOPLE who work at this resort! They can be like family away from home and really deserve a big THANK YOU for all their hard work and effort to make everyones stay special! The food was GREAT!
