Villa La Valencia Beach Resort & Spa is celebrated for its attentive service, though there are occasional comments about slow restaurant service and room readiness. While some guests have called out disruptive noise, many find the resort's atmosphere to be relaxing and commend its environmental efforts. Its prime location with stunning ocean views is a highlight for travelers, as are the immaculate rooms. However, concerns over value are noted due to costly food and additional charges. The resort's amenities, including the well-maintained pools and variety of dining options, generally earn rave reviews, despite the infinity pool's renovation.

The resort is in a soft opening still, but you would barely notice. It is stunning inside and out with incredible views. There is an amazing lazy river, and an infinity pool that is over looking the Sea of Cortez. The staff is top notch - especially Alma, who was always hustling to make sure we had any food, drink, etc we wanted quickly. She was efficient, friendly, detail oriented and just a joy to deal with. Noe, the pool concierge was also amazing - making sure we had all the towels we needed, including towel art (swans). We brought our own floatys and one got popped. They were immediately fixing the floaty and even swam it out to is in the lazy river. We ate at La Taberna and had amazing paella, and Lattitude 23.5 and had great signature cocktails. Both had live artists playing every night we were there that were extremely talented. All the staff we encountered was friendly and wanted to make sure we had an incredible stay. We chose to do All Inclusive the first 3 of our 4 days and extremely enjoyed it.
The rooms are beautiful down to every detail, including bidet toilets that include auto sensors to warm the seat before you sit, and programmable options for the bidet. Including a tooshy dryer. The doors to the decks open for full indoor outdoor living.

The downsides, in my opinion, in this resort are the location in that while the view is incredible, the beach is not swimmable right outside the resort. Not a huge deal as you can take a taxi 5 minutes down the road to Chileano Bay or 5 minutes the other way, and both have great beach swimming. It's a little further to the Marina and downtown, a $60 RT taxi fare (although Uber is cheaper).
The other downside is that there are a few areas that have a sewer smell. My guess is that it will be resolved as they are not done with construction, it is a soft opening and they are aware of it. It's just a few small areas where it happens but not ideal.
Overall, this resort is one I cannot wait to come back to! We were blown away with the amenities and service!

At the time of our arrival Villa La Valencia was open but all facilities had yet to be completed. That said, the staff and what was available we would have to rate as first class. From our initial chauffeured ride from the airport, we were greeted by friendly smiling personnel associated with the Villa.
One might think with construction still underway at the Villa our dream vacation would be interrupted or diminished but not so. Those working on completion of the faciality were courteous even though we vacationers were no doubt, in their way.
Our rooms were manicured each day with staff that always were courteous and always working with a smile.
The 3 restaurants open to us were first rate in service and menu choices. We especially enjoyed the Bare Foot Bar Grill Restaurant at poolside as they served us lunch every day and provided a great evening meal choice as well.
While we enjoyed interacting with all the Villa staff we became fond of a special few. Savir, first to greet us at poolside, he was a constant source of information and services around the pools and the beach. Rodrigo, served us food and drink the entire week, always on the run and always working with energy and a smile, his goal was to always strive in providing us with a great vacation. Galvez would on occasion relieve Rodrigo and provide great services as well.
The activities group of young people could be seen throughout the day interacting with patrons keeping all aware of facility activities. We particularly enjoyed Ceasar, Liz and Alex.
Overall, our time at Villa La Valencia was nothing less that completely enjoyable.

We went to the soft opening knowing not everything would be up and running so we were pleasantly surprised by what we experienced. First let me say that my Ocean Front Studio was breath taking with 300 degree view. Our next experience was by the pool. The pool Host Savir Moreno greeted us and made sure we we’re sitting where we wanted to be . He also got my husband a chair to sit in for his bad back”Every Day” without having to ask. Savir came by and moved my umbrella and brought dry towels continuously during the day making sure I wasn’t in the direct sun. Victor, the Pool Concierge, was present and making sure everyone had what they needed. Alejandro the pool beverage and food associate made sure we were never wanting for any food or beverage. Tequila tasting with Victor the mixologist was fun and informative and he makes a great Mexican Coffee. All the Resturant’s that were open during our stay were delicious, one special night was when the Chef Raphael from El Patron made us a special Chile Rellenos dinner that wasn’t on the menu. Our room was cleaned daily by Sugey who made sure we had all the towels we needed daily. Everyone from the bell boys to the grounds personal , to the pool cleaners went out of their way to acknowledge us when passing by. The Lazy river was super enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning when all the waterfalls are up and working. I would highly recommend any of my friends to book their next vacation at Villa La Valencia, I know we’ll be back.

This was our 3rd visit to Cabo. It was the best. Highly recommended for those with a family, or anyone, who wants to know they were on vacation. The rooms (we had a single room ocean view) were exceptional with a large glass-rimmed balcony, fold out bed, kitchen and luxurious bathrooms. The pool area was outstanding and did not have the overwhelming and gross feeling of overuse that you see at many resorts closer to downtown Cabo. You can feel like you are the only ones there at times. The views and feeling at night is wonderful, and the sunrises came right into our room. The infinity pool is a nice touch. The beach was closed, for some reason, but we managed to enjoy the tidepools and sand and winessed humpback whales breaching in clear view from the beach. There are plenty of food choices allowing you to pick your expense, and we enjoyed the kitchette to make family meals together without the formality at times. The staff were wonderful and friendly, and they do not hound for tips - ever. They made our stay exceptional but I don't feel we paid an exorbitant fee you might find at other 5 star locations. This is hands down a winner if you are looking for a family-friendly breakaway, and at a very clean, safe, happy location.

We had a 2 bedroom suite, and our friends had a studio room at Villa La Valencia. The rooms were beautifully appointed with high end finishes. The 2 bedroom had a full size refrigerator, washer/dryer which was roomy, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and stove top. Our favorite things about the resort were the lazy river and the fun exercise power walk against the current each morning; the beautiful multiple pool areas with a stunning infinity pool; the quiet beach (although you could not swim there due to rocks and rough water), and vendors which weren't annoying and only approached you if you showed interest in their items; and the food at the Mexican buffet night was all wonderful! The staff at the pool, lobby, housekeepting, spa, and check in couldn't have been any friendlier. In the Palmita Market deli, you could get pico de gallo and guacamole along with some very delicious sandwiches, salads, ice cream, and our favorite, the Norata burrito. It is located between San jose del cabo and Cabo san lucas, but you can get an UBER for $10-15 to either town from outside the gate or a taxi for $30. It costs $55 for a taxi for up to 4 people to return to the airport. Get reservations for restaurants for dinner, or you can usually get a table at the pool bar almost any time of day. Loved the resort, although Cabo was a little on the busy side for us.

I spent five days at this resort to celebrate my mothers birthday and Mother’s Day. The report is very beautiful, serene and quiet. The landscaping is majestic and the views are incredible. All rooms have a view of the pools and at least a partial view of the ocean. The lazy river is fun….the infinity pool is amazing and this resort has multiple pools and hot tubs to enjoy. Their were plenty of lounge chairs, however for the infinity pool you have to claim a seat pretty early. The beach is onsite, however you can’t swim in it, the current and waves are strong, but you can have beautiful long walks along the beach. I believe I only saw one vendor at the beach selling hats and blankets, which is a plus. We stayed in a two room suite, full kitchen, large showers, heated toilets and plenty of closet space. The room was beautiful with three balconies.

We didn’t do all inclusive, but did enjoy dinner two nights at the restaurants and purchased a few drinks during the stay. The food was just ok, and portion size small, however the service was great.

We enjoyed the few activities they had including a tequila testing, dance lessons, water aerobics, corn hole and blackjack. The activity directors were awesome. The activities could use some sprucing up to include small prizes, and more variety.

Covid testing $25 on-site was a plus, just schedule ahead at the desk.

Vic the Concierge put together a great birthday celebration for my mother. He decorated the cabana down at the beach, provided a cake and champagne. Alessandro provided great service during our little party, kept our glasses full, fresh ice in our buckets, and was very attentive.

Victor, Maria, Savir, Benjamin, Ervin, Erving, Vic, and Moises and anyone I missed all made this trip wonderful…..they all treated us like family.

If you are looking for a resort that’s quiet, serene, and relaxing then this is the spot for you. This resort is still in its soft opening phase and still has a couple kinks to work through, but I believe you will enjoy your stay.

We have been members of the Villa Group for the past 10 years and this was our first stay at this beautiful new resort. The staff and food was amazing and the manager (Alejandra) of the Italian restaurant was amazing. She made sure we had a great seating location with a heater, since it was a little cool in the evening. The night entertainment, especially the singer, piano player that provided entertainment and dancing after the Prime Rib dinner. We had a 1 bedroom and the amenities in the room provided everything we needed, including a bidet and washer and dryer. Highly recommend this resort.

This is a new resort, however we were surprised that rooms were still being finished! Work was being done on the room next door to us! Noisy!
Gardens were still being planted;
The Market refrigerated section was poorly stocked.
Because of its location we were very surprised there was no Italian restaurant unlike other Villa del Mar resorts we have enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was not worth $50 per person ! We did enjoy Latitudes
Restaurant.
In closing… when we entered our suite for the first time the floor was wet and extremely slippery due to condenser problems. After maintenance came , twice for the same problem, it was OK.
Employees deserving gold stars!
Carlos Ortega. His customer service skills were outstanding. Thank you Carlos! You are a shining example of efficiency and professionalism!
Martin at the front desk checked us out. He was thorough and friendly explained our final bill and wished us
a safe journey home.
KC who gave us our arrival orientation…. What a gem! so friendly and welcoming We wished we could have thanked you personally when we left to go to the airport.
And Claudia, in the Palmita Market, who went above and beyond to take care of us so we would have breakfast the next morning . When there was no yogurt and Tropical storm Madeline was bearing down on Los Cabos, she took it upon herself to go to the grocery store and buy some! Wow! Thanks Claudia I was grateful and impressed!

We went with a golf trip from Nevada. 170 golfers in couples. The resort exterior is outstanding. The restaurants themselves are excellent. The breakfast buffet is very good. You cannot swim at the beach here at least during our stay we could not do too dangerous conditions. The most impressive part of the entire resort was the exterior swimming pool areas. Additionally, a resident band that played most nights at the Mexican restaurant Outdoors was truly outstanding and really added a tremendous amount of value to the trip. The only reason I give this four stars out of five is due to the sparse just distasteful snacks in the rooms and limited in room drinks. They only had one sweet which was a candy bar and the all-inclusive package only allowed for one candy bar per room per day. They should have just given us some cheap chocolate or plain sugar packets would have been fine but when I requested a second candy bar I was rebuked by a manager on the phone which I found disconcerting given that this was an all-inclusive resort and the actual instructions in our room stated that we were allowed to request one additional candy bar per room per day as long as I called for it before 6:00 p.m. additionally, our room was right around the corner from the main lobby and it was very noisy. Our Ocean View room was okay, farthest back away from the ocean but at least you could see it from an angle. Regardless, it was an excellent vacation, we had a great time. I can recommend it as a nice place to stay for anyone. Especially families.

Beautiful resort accommodations. Fun pools and lazy river were the highlight. For the family. The location is not ideal. Half way between Cabo and San Jose del Cabo, either direction is a trek in an Uber or an over priced taxi. The staff was poorly prepared for guests, and even some the “managers” were unable to make discretionary decisions. Down side to new staff that are inexperienced. The waiter lied to us about the brand of tequila we ordered and he delivered. They did not have the tequila that was offered in the all inclusive and a cheap substitute was delivered. Not until I went to the bar for a refill did I discover that we had been lied to as to what we were drinking. If we didn’t have all inclusive the prices for food and beverages are astronomical for Mexico, however this has become common with all of the big resorts. The resort has a lot of training to do with the staff and finishing of the building before I would recommend anyone to go. The water off the steep beach is not swimming friendly and black flag our entire stay. A bad experience with the front desk manager David and the pool waiter Alejandro. Very slow pool service by several new unexperienced waiters was experience by us and several other patrons. Waited an hour and a half for a cheese pizza that came with pepperoni on it. Grand child doesn’t eat pepperoni. The new rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed with heated bidet toilet seats and electric blinds. All in all nice try, however severely lacking for the clientele they are trying to attract.

Sorry for the delay. There’s a “colectivo” you can pay and take at the airport and they will take you there. It’s the safest option.

There were poolside specials during the day such as 2 for 1 from 11-12 (approx) on drinks or half priced pizzas certain days. Pools were a comfortable temperature for the temp outside, there are also several hot tubs.

Yes. As I recall, the standard every day for our 3-bedroom is to keep it stocked with 4 beers, a few soft drinks, & water. This may be different for one or two bedrooms. Everyday, we asked room service to bring up 8 waters (there were 8 of us). They would also bring you beer or wine or soft drinks. Or mixed drinks, coffee, juices, etc. ALL FREE UNDER THE ALL-INCLUSIVE. There are also snacks that get restocked. This included nuts, chips, candy bar, etc. You might have to remind them to restock, but they are pretty good about it. When my son was a young boy we stayed at an all-inclusive and he called everything “free food!”. Ya…kinda…free to him I guess! More like “pre-paid”. Haha!
