Villa La Estancia Cabo San Lucas is lauded for its pristine cleanliness and elegant atmosphere, with travelers consistently admiring the immaculate rooms and stunning views. While some guests consider the dining and services pricey, the value is often balanced by special rates. The resort's amenities, including a well-kept pool and exceptional spa, receive high marks, although minor reservations about chair bookings surface. My wife and I spent 5 nights at Villa La Estancia. This is a condominium resort that rents out the rooms to guests when not occupied by the owners. It is a lovely property that is well cared for. It is oceanfront with a great expansive area for swimming. The pools are large and heated. We were able to walk into town. The party spots on the beach were a 1/4 mile away toward town and not a problem.

A few things that could have been better. The elevator was either slow or not working. It was noisy in the morning. The metal gates to your room and the suitcases rolling over the tiles made a racket. Housecleaning was subpar and service at the pool and restaurants was slow. While English was spoken throughout the property there were times at the spa, tour center and restaurants when communication was challenging. My worst experience was getting ripped off by the water taxi service in front of the property. When I complained to the hotel they said there was nothing they could do. That I should use their tour service. I suggested they post a sign by the beach warning guests that beach services should be used with discretion. When I went to their tour service they did not offer water taxi service. I was put out by the indifference of the guest services manager. Also, on the beach you will be constantly harangued by beach vendors. This is a non-stop operation that has no qualms about waking you up to sell you a slice of mango or a fishing lure earring.

We woke one morning to the site of a very large cruise ship moored off the beach. Apparently this is not uncommon and it certainly reminded us that we were not in CT anymore. It was very cool to see.

My wife had a facial and massage at the spa and loved it. Their signature restaurant la Casona was okay. I highly recommend Maro's Shrimp House for a very affordable lobster/shrimp dinner in a relaxed atmosphere and Hacienda Cocina y Cantina for a spectacular sunset dinner.

Taxi service from the airport runs about $85.00 dollars; however, you can get a shuttle for around $20.00 which was well worth it. I am told the bus is $4.00.

I would go here again now that I know what to expect.

We stayed in 1201B and it was amazing! This room far exceeded my expectations. It is truely beachfront/beachview and was amazing. I needed a get away for my mental health during all this Covid business and it did the trick. You are far enough away from the loud music and "party" atmotshere near the marina but it is walkable along the beach if that is what is preferred. The cab ride to the marina area is quick and farely inexpensive. If you wanted to stay at the resort and just hang poolside, it is lovely as well. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing and the attention to detail was not spared. We booked our trip at 5 p.m. on Friday and flew out at 6 a.m. on Saturday and I am so glad we did. This room and location was perfect. Cabo felt far safer than the US as our temperature was taken everywhere we went, we were sanitized head to toe in some places we went into (even through they were outside establishments, we felt as though the restaurants and bars took care in their safety/health just as much as ours. I was super impressed and would go back in a heartbeat. We rented a car and drove to Todos Santos one day and it was equally as safe there. Everyone made sure they and the guests were sanitized. My only regret....booking for 3 nights instead of 4! Go and enjoy. And Book anything beachfront if you can! Truly worth your mental health!

We were at Villa La Estancia over Christmas and it was perfect! I forget the valets' names, but they greeted us every day, were so so so helpful and made us feel so welcome. The staff is AMAZING and every single person who worked there that we came to know provided excellent service. They truly do their jobs so well and are so professional. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The restaurants are top notch and service is perfect. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo rented privately through the owner and it was better than the pictures and exceeded our expectations. The location is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Cabo San Lucas or a good walk down the beach. It's very close to the Walmart and Costco for groceries, but honestly, you never have to leave the resort if you don't want to. We were very active and were out a lot and the location made it easy to get to those activities and coming back to the oasis of the resort was the best of both worlds! The only slightly negative aspect (which is not due to the resort at all) is that if you want a good lounge chair at the pool, you have to get there early. The staff do their best to clear away towels from departed guests, but some people stay all day. I have to say though, the staff will take chairs from less desirable locations to put you where you want to be which somewhat rectifies the issue, but if you like a prime spot... go down earlier! The beach lounge chairs were never a problem and it's gorgeous right in front of the resort. We will be back!!!

Stayed here for 6 days. The room and the view was amazing. The pools and beach were great. Perfect set up for family with older kids. The food at most of the restaurants were overpriced. The groceries on-site had some crazy high prices. Go to Costco for groceries. At the on-site restaurants they will ask if you want water, you say yes and then they bring you water, the most expensive they have and you don’t find out until you get your bill. $8 for bottled water, per. The main office will give you as much bottled water as you want for free. Also pay attention to your change. They will say they are giving correct change from your US dollars in pesos. Got shorted about $10 on one occasion.

The deli next to the grocery store on-site had great food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

We will be back but much wiser.

Tip get a taxi for $9 and visit the many restaurants in the city. See my reviews for La Lupita, WTF, La Chatita, Cafe De Ciudad.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit 1203 from 3-11 to 3/19. There were 4 adults and 4 teens in our group and we had more than enough room. The resort itself is beautiful and very welcoming of families. We liked that it was quiet and very relaxing but had access to pools and facilities at Villa de Arco and Villa de Palmar, the sister properties on either side of Estancia. Kids liked the slide at de Palmar and could use the pool at Arco if they wanted to toss a ball around. What REALLY made our trip memorable was the friends we made with the staff at Estancia. Every morning Tere and Deivi would set up our chairs and have towels set up nicely with umbrellas and tables and would check multiple times a day to see if we needed anything. Our server for pool side lunch or drinks was Aldair and he was also incredible. Tere, Deivi and Aldair were never short on smiles or a good conversation. Alfredo was the bartender at the swim up bar and was also super nice and made great recommendations. When we travel we always feel like the people you meet make an impact and these three certainly left an impression on all of us. We got home yesterday and we already miss seeing these beautiful people. Speaking with them and getting to know more about them each day was really terrific, their incredible service was a bonus. We will be back very soon.

My husband and I recently had a fabulous stay in a beautiful Unique One-Bedroom Suite, which included a beautiful terrace with two lounge chairs and a dining table. The resort itself was impeccably clean and well maintained, and the staff were all super friendly while at the same time respectful and incredibly professional. The resort has a very high class feel in that you sit at a concierge desk for anything you need (check in, help with restaurants, transportation, etc). The service we received from Lupita and Isabella was expert, courteous, and very personalized. Also we were delighted to find the pools and hot tubs were beautiful and very understated in that the atmosphere was upscale and discreet rather than a party atmosphere you find at some resorts. If you want a different atmosphere, you also have access to the two other adjacent properties they have via an easy pathway to one on the left and the other on the right. Having access to all three resorts gives you lots of interesting dining options as well as a different atmosphere at each of the pools. Though not inexpensive, we felt the resort provided lots of value for the money, and we would be happy to return there for another stay.

We just returned from a ten day visit to Los Cabos, Mexico and our stay at Villa La Estancia. Our stay was wonderful and the staff at La Estancia were amazing from the bell staff at our arrival to the desk staff, house keeping, fitness area, and our favorite the pool staff. Towels were laid out for us each day, (Tere and team are so welcoming) and the restaurant crew brought us delicious lunches at the pool side. I am looking forward to returning again next year. Thank you to all that made this trip so wonderful.

The Villa group runs a wonderful resort. We go every few months. The place is spotless and with the new US travel restrictions, they organize your covid tests at check in and do them on property and credit you the cost.
The property is well maintained, the staff are genuinely kind and gracious and the food and beverages are not exorbitantly priced as they are at other high end resorts. Look for Terri and Sebastian at the pool. The are so sweet and take such good care of you during your stay.

My husband Raza and I had an amazing trip to La Estancia from start to finish.

It started from the moment we arrived at the resort — Jose Luis greeted us at the door, sanitized our bags, and gave us a tour of the resort amenities and our room. He was so welcoming and really excited for us to experience the resort. Jose Luis also helped us find the right transportation a few nights that we are dinner off the resort, making the experience really easy for us.

The beat part of La Estancia has to be their two beautiful pools — you could find us there everyday! Manuel was lovey and helped us set up our lounge chairs, towels, pillows and umbrella everyday. We also had amazing service from the staff at La Parilla Grill — Max, Alfredo, Pedro and Aldair were all awesome! They were so happy to help us out with food and drinks each day at the swim-up bar and really made us feel welcome. If you stay at La Estancia, make sure you say hi to them :)

Julia also kept our room in great shape while we were here — everyday it felt fresh and welcoming when we came back. She made sure to check in with us every morning to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

Overall, we had an amazing experience at La Estancia — it has a beautiful location on the beach, extremely friendly staff, and every thing from the lobby to the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We would love to visit again!

We had an amazing trip to celebrate our 20th anniversary at Villa La Estancia. Location was perfect as you could walk down the beach to town or a 20 minute walk by road. Also easy to get a water taxi right outside to go to Lover’s Beach by the Arch. Great view of the Arch. We booked through Delta Vacations and stayed in a 1 BR room and did the limited inclusive food package. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. It also had a lot of dresser and closet space which I love as I like to unpack my suitcase. Bed was very comfortable. Also nice to have a full kitchen. Service was very good at the pool and we never had trouble finding an open lounge chair. It was a little cold when we were there so appreciated that they had five hot tubs. Staff (especially Lupita, our concierge and Pascual, our waiter at La Casona) really went out of the way to make our anniversary trip special from coming back the last night to champagne in our room and the bed decorated with “Happy Anniversary” to an amazing dessert as a surprise with our first dinner. We thought the meal plan was worth it for what it cost through Delta Vacation as the food was fantastic everywhere we ate. We had an amazing buffet breakfast every day at El Patron next door with made to order omelette, sopas and quesadillas. Lunch and dinner were also excellent, much better than a typical all inclusive. La Casona and El Carbon were our favorites.

The beach in front of Vila La Estancia is a swimmable beach. You just need to be careful as some days can be rougher than others. Some of us went in towards the end of our trip as it was calmer those days. The pools at the hotel are beautiful and very refreshing. We were in there most of the time with a swim up bar!
