Serina Del Mar is a speciAl place. When you arrive, there is a feeling like you are in Europe rather than Mexico. It is a smaller resort, which makes it quieter (other than the obnoxious patrons at the swim up bar) and different from the much larger resorts. The ocean view rooms are special. We turned off the air conditioner and let the ocean breeze and pounding surf provide a spectacular ambiance for the entire 8 days. The water is blue, the rocks create a dramatic setting and you feel very safe and secure. The pools create a feeling that you are one with the sea. The restaurant staff is superb and the meals are noteworthy. The events director does a spectacular job of narrating the days while lightheartedly poking fun at the Mickey Mouse Americans. I would highly recommend a stay here.

I highly recommend this little gem of a resort. Grounds and property was very well maintained and it is convenient to a brand new grocery store across the road. My restaurant meals were delicious and bartending staff exceeded expectations. The fitness centre more than met my needs as well as my condo unit which had a fully equipped kitchen and generous barware and dishes. Speedy check in and check out. Short UBER ride to everything you need.

The location of the hotel is very scenic and super friendly and attentive staff. Rooms feel like they are recently renovated, and have a full kitchenette and living room so that it feels more like a studio than a hotel room. There's a big supermarket about a 5-7 drive from the hotel. Ubers come straight to the hotel and cost anywhere form $6 - $15 to go to downtown Cabos San Lucas. More of a chill vibe than classy. Events are broadcasted on loud speakers near the main pool. People are here to have a good time and drink so they tend to be friendly and rowdy. Noise in rooms in the middle of the night. Only downside - the only restaurant on site - Estrella - is decent but Americanized, i.e. things that aren't supposed to be sweet are sweet, the menu items offered, etc. Definitely not "traditional" Mexican fare.

My wife and I have stayed at this resort 5 or 6 different times. We have also stayed at 4 other resorts in Cabo over the last 7 years. This is hands down our FAVORITE resort. Here are a list of reasons why: - beautiful grounds - courteous staff - fun atmosphere at the pool - semi-private beach - more of an intimate smaller resort - fairly priced - AMAZING restaurant staff and food - we’ll maintained and clean resort - great gym - stunning views - rooms literally on the ocean with the sounds of crashing waves when you open your slider Now if you ever stay at this resort, here are some amazing people I hope you get the opportunity to meet: - Omar, head chef at the restaurant on property, Estrella. Do yourself a favor and ask to meet him! He is one of the most passionate chefs we have ever met, and you can taste that passion with the amazing food he has put together on their menu. He has always been so kind and courteous to my wife and I, plus any other family or friends we have brought over the years. -Pavel, waiter for lunch/dinner at the restaurant Estella. We absolutely love Pavel, he is literally our favorite waiter, EVER, not just at that resort or in Cabo. He provides such prompt, friendly, and fantastic service while waiting on you. He would interact with our kids and even teach them some Spanish while ordering, and always with a huge smile. All of our friends and family also commented how great he was every time we stayed at the resort. -Guillermo, waiter for breakfast at the restaurant Estella. We actually just met him for the first time during our most recent visit. He had such a great personality and was a fantastic waiter! We were very happy that we got the chance to meet him. -Emilio, entertainment staff at the Pool. Emilio has such an awesome and outgoing personality. He is absolutely hilarious and makes sure everyone is having a great time at the pool during all activities and even in between the activities. My kids loved playing with him and were laughing the whole time because how funny he was and nice to them. - Kris, Fedra, and Mario, all work at the concierge. I had a great experience on different trips, I worked with one of them during each of those trips. They had a great attitude and were beyond helpful when planning all of our adventures. I really appreciated the work they put into making sure our activities/travel was set up correctly. We will definitely be going back for many years and definitely recommend you try it out! -Tyler Day

4.5 Stars really...pools were great but just couldn't go the full 5 stars since restaurant scene was uninspiring for the price Wife, Me, and 6 Month Old Baby spent a serene 7 days, unplugged on the resort...it really was marvelous and the rooms/grounds/pools/beach are of a high quality. We were looking for a kitchenette and this was one of the few resorts that had one in Cabo for less than $350/nt (honestly, you are basically paying an all inclusive price at that point, but the Welk doesn't even give you breakfast (note: a free breakfast would have make it a 5 star). Furthermore, there are no good restaurants within 20 mins walking distance (as the resort is fairly remote...which is also its charm, but not when I'm hungry). Fortunately UBER is easy and cheap enough (it was just too much hassle with a 6 month old baby for us)...but the COSTCO (UBER ride) and a huge fancy grocery store (12 min walk, but have to cross highway, which was not difficult). I also liked how Welk didn't nickel and dime you (or force you into a horrible sales pitch...though that would have paid me $150 out of the resort fee)...it was a quality experience (but likely quite a premium to an AirBNB). Bottom Line: I would gladly recommend the Welk to others, but I'll probably look elsewhere next time for my family

Spectacular ocean front Los Cabos Resort Experience. A gorgeous, expansive yet intimate property with all the amenities you could ever want. Wonderful pools, hot tub, restaurant. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. What separates this property from others in the area is the level of personal service. Attempting to list all the excellent people who went above and beyond to make our stay special would be impossible. A few of the best of the best included Pavel, our waiter most nights at dinner- he is the definition of professional- a world class waiter who is so friendly and hospitable, always there when you went something and absolutely never intrusive, Pavel is a gem. Jonas and Emilio typically run the pool/resort activities and both are VERY special. They knew every guests name within a few moments of their arrival. They keep things, fun inclusive, energetic and spirited at all times, they’re huge assets to this resort as well. I’d also be remiss to not mention Jorge, Guillermo, Tomas, Antonio and the rest of the breakfast crew, they’re a special bunch who get the day started off on a great note. The breakfast itself is not to be missed, both for classic items and a superb Mexican menu. Run there- soon you’ll be wondering where your week in Cabo went, and looking forward to seeing the best staff at the greatest resort at Welk Sirena DM again soon.

Had an incredible week at Sirena Del Mar in a 2br lockoff. Large, very clean and extremely well maintained property. Staff at EVERY encounter were warm and friendly speaking English or Spanish. Resort provided complimentary covid testing to meet 24hr requirement for US airline carriers. Will look forward to returning to Sirena Del Mar!

Went to a marketing meeting it was very enjoyable. Learned a lot and was not pressured into buying anything.

I finally made my first trip to Welks in Cabo and I am so glade I did! I have worked in hotels and other hospitality jobs and everything you hear about the staff is true, they are absolutely fantastic and without them this place would not be what it is. All the great pictures you see are good but none can do justice to the real thing! It is so beautiful and siren. We stayed in building three on the first floor and our suite was fantastic. The views can not be beat and the entire resort was beautiful. There is no spring break nonsense and the entertainment dancers were wonderful. Of course there is a higher price but what we pay is what we get and this is so true at this resort as it is worth it. The only suggestions I can give are to fix a few eye sores on the stairs to the beach. The beach is great even though a little gritty but who cares. We did the couples massage and it was wonderful and again the staff was amazing so tip them well as people this good don't grow on trees. We had a rental car and the valet guys were great but I think I'd stick with uber next time to go to fresco and Walmart. We did the sunset tour and it was awesome! The social scene is low key with many time share owners all very good people. I can't wait to go again!

My husband and I are PAID OFF Welk Owners. We had an extremely poor experience at Sirena del Mar in Cabo San Lucas that I fear you must be made aware of. (They have had several days and still haven't replied to my comments also by the way!!) First off, Welk connected us with a transportation service that filled themselves MUCH too full given that this is still COVID. I’m not just saying I had to sit next to someone, they made both my husband and myself had to keep our bags in our laps!! At that point, I’d have been happier with a taxi that would’ve put my bags in the back. We arrived on Friday 07/01/2022. Room service with new towels/supplies was not completed until we complained (in person to the front desk) on Wednesday 12/01/2022, 5 days later, when I understand the standard is 3 days. The first mistake of this conversation was that the front desk person accused me of having the do not disturb sign on the door. We NEVER hang the do not disturb sign on our door, but I’m not sure why this had to become a defensive conversation when I am the guest. At the end of it, all I really wanted was a refill on towels and supplies and didn’t care about the room cleaning service as much, but I cannot believe that the front desk person wanted to argue with me over what is their basic service level. If a mistake had been made, just say sorry and correct it. We like to do laundry in the room on our vacations. The laundry and dryer is provided in room and this is part of what I find a benefit, so I’m not sure why I need to back up my reasons for that either, but I always wash all travel clothes due to COVID and of course on a vacation like this anything that goes in the ocean… So once our room WAS finally serviced on Wednesday, the complimentary Tide pods were not refilled. Therefore, I then I had to go back (in person to the front desk) to get some. The front desk person then argued with me about obtaining the pods. I'm not really sure what he found so unreasonable about my request since this was a mistake on the cleaning crew's part, and I didn't even ask him to deliver it to my room - I went down myself to the front desk in person to pick it up. Also, the people who checked in to the room below us on Wednesday 12/01/2022 were chain smoking non-stop, so we became unable to use our ocean view balcony that we had paid/used so many extra points for. Given that there was water damage in the bathroom, the colors on the television were off (and we did try to fix that), several of the drawers in the dresser wouldn’t open, and the tub wouldn’t properly drain, we considered the balcony the ONE really nice benefit of this room. We complained about the smokers below us and even offered to move rooms so that we could still have the enjoyment of our balcony. Security merely said they’d take care of it, however the chain smoking from below did not stop. After we companied about the smoking a 4th time on Thursday, our room keys suddenly stopped working. Staff kept insisting it would be fixed, however, it repeatedly was not. We had to ask to be let into our room at least 15 times over the next day because no one ever accomplished fixing the issue. I’m an adult on vacation – being asked to be escorted to and let into my room several times a day doesn’t feel like a very freeing vacation experience. Lastly, then when my husband finally complained for the 20th time, Welk security kicked us out of our room. They stated he was too drunk, however my husband hasn’t had a drink 18 months because he would DIE of liver failure. He was legitimately upset due to not only the inability to help but also the complete unwillingness and uncaringness. We paid tens of thousands of dollars to be members and this is how we are treated? I find this ABSOLUTELY outrageous. I guarantee we would been better served at a Motel 6 for $50/night. To be honest, these are very specific complains about Sirena del Mar, but we have also stayed at the Welk in Escondido and the experience was not much better.
