Husband and I stayed at Palapa 1 for two nights. It's like a honeymoon suite. Spacious. I liked the fresh open air during the day but at night it's very loud because of the clubs and bars that only close at 4 am. Bugs were not a problem. Bed was very comfortable.
On the third night, we moved to a standard queen. The room and bathroom were small but fine for one night.
The common area on the main floor is where they serve the delicious Mexican breakfast. It is also where guests can interact with other guests.
We chose Cabo Inn for a more authentic experience in Mexico as well as sleep in a half outdoor room (Palapa). It is walking distance to the marina and Medano beach and many restaurants, street food, and stores nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist, Edwin.
Tips: bring flip flops
If you're an early or light sleeper, the Palapa rooms may keep you up at night.
Bring your own toiletries. Only bar soap is provided in the bathrooms.
This hotel best suits low-maintenance travelers.
We would stay here again.

We checked out reviews before we booked and decided on one of the roof top "honeymoon" suites. We loved it because it was open air and our deck area was wonderful for sitting out at night watching the city lights and night sky. The bed was very comfortable , the deck area was very spacious and the bathroom
Victor Flores and Edwin provided very good service and helped us with good deals on tours. We decided to stay longer than we had originally booked and were given a lower price than the price we originally got on Expedia. We don't understand why somebody's review said that "the staff will try to scam you'?
The location is very quiet but also just a short walk to the marina area, beach, bars , restaurants, shops, etc.
One other EXCELLENT point about staying at the Cabo Inn is that it is right next door to Panache Restaurant. This restaurant is FANTASTIC( See our review in Restaurants).

Once again, I spent a memorable Christmas staying in my favourite room: Palapa 1. The gracious owners provided a delicious turkey dinner to guests on Christmas evening and we sat down with travellers from around the world and ended the evening with new friends. An added bonus this time was the delicious chilaquiles that we enjoyed for breakfast every morning on our sunny deck, provided by the sweetest lady ever! Since we enjoyed breakfast so much, we asked Patricia if she could cook us a dinner and for less than what we would spend in a restaurant, we had an authentic and absolutely delicious meal of soup, tostadas and dessert. Thank you, Cabo Inn and all who work there for another fabulous holiday!

We had never been to Cabo before, but some friends told us about Cabo Inn Hotel, so we booked it from January 4th thru February 2nd and found it to be just what we wanted. Our desire was to immerse ourselves as much as possible in the local culture and this was the best place to do that. It is right downtown where we could walk to everyplace we wanted to go. It is close to all types of shopping including wonderful street foods as well as the marina with all of it's pricey shops and local vendors.
Most importantly, the staff at Cabo Inn took very good care of us. They even arranged our tour activities with nice discounts. Our month long rate was very reasonable and the other guests soon became friends and advisors on things to do and places to go.
We hope to make this an annual destination and will definitely stay here again.

This place is fantastic. I don’t want to stay anywhere but here when I come to Cabo. It is quaint, cute, authentic, and normally very peaceful, serene, and quiet. With that being said. We were disappointed on our last visit as there was construction going on. We were there 21 days and it happened nearly every day. The owner and staff did everything in their power to make it better but jackhammering is jackhammering. I spoke with the manager (Edwin) and the owner ( Victor) about our displeasure with the noise and they graciously refunded an acceptable portion of our payment for the room.
The owner and manger at this property are fantastic. The building is fantastic! It’s family owned and it shows.
The pictures shown on the website are not quite accurate anymore as the top floor is being changed in to a restaurant. So the Palapas and pool are gone. They plan to be finished very soon.
I highly recommend this place for a stay in Cabo. I’ll certainly be back.

I dont like to leave negative reviews, (you can see by my past reviews I am not a negative person) and I reached out to the hotel again this morning to try to resolve the issue before leaving a review. They said I was threatning them, but I was actually giving them a chance to fix the situation. I do not think they liked that I found out that they had lied to Expedia. I booked this hotel on Expedia because they said they have a pool and showed pics of said pool. I get there and there is no pool (among other negative differences compared to whats on Expedia). I immedietly cancelled and was only there for less than 20 minutes while I dealt with expedia. I have video proof with a time stamp showing I checked into my Airbnb a block away less than 20 minutes after I arrived at Cabo Inn (I have the exact time from my uber drop off). Cabo Inn still charged me for 1 night even though they had false advertising. They also told Expedia they wouldnt refund me because I was there for more than 3 hours. Again, untrue and I have screenshots of Expedia telling me they said that and as I mentioned proof of the time I arrived at Cabo Inn and the time I arrived at my new accomidation one block away. Beware of this shady place. I wouldnt be leaving this review if I couldnt 100% back up my claims. I am sure they will dispute this, so feel free to message me if want proof or more specific info about this property.

It might sound cliché, but I rarely write reviews. Cabo Inn was more than what I expected. Most hotels remind me of hospital rooms. Usually you gown down a sterile common corridor, and enter the room. Cabo Inn was very open and inviting. There is a shared kitchen and comfortable lounging area. What a trip to sit at the round table and meet people from different parts of the world. I'm kind of a loner, but never felt like one during my stay. Just as much as you will enjoy hearing other people's stories, They enjoy hearing your story as well. I smiled when I heard my new friends greet me by name when I made my return trips. I didn't rent a car for this trip, and I sure didn't need one. The location of Cabo Inn made it ideal to make short walks whenever I needed. Pretty much everything you need is right there. I found the staff helpful, but not intrusive. I felt very safe there. I believe I may have found a "home" away from home

I do a lot of businedd in Cabo and was looking for a reasonably priced place for when I just need a crash pad for me and/or my team. I stopped by here and the girl working the front was really rude and didnt want to answer any questions or take two minutes to show me the property. I ended up peeking around on my own and between the screaming kids (who seemed to be an employees kid maybe?) and the employees all gathered around with loud music, and the fact that the property was filthy was just enough to know this is a NO from me. Not one employee even smilied back to me when I said hello. What a shame.

Dirty, noisey, cramped room with even dirtier bathroom. Even though we prepaid for 3 nights, we left without staying a single night. The photos are deceiving. Extension cords made me concerned about safety. There was no place to plug in my cpap

The picture of the room that we booked was " did not exist", as the front desk woman explained . We booked on points via Aeroplan and they have a terrible policy that if you request a refund, it is the sole discretion of the hotel. Of course, they denied our request. So we slept in this horrible room on cement bed frames with a mini fridge that looked like someone smashed the front with an ice pick more than a few times. The A/C had no control knob so only worked at one speed. The door to the bathroom was not fit to the wall so a large two foot gap allows for little privacy. This was definitely a very rustic experience for us. The outside and common area could seem charming but be sure to look at your room. The staff were ok but did nothing to change us to a better room as I think there was nothing really better.

There are only common kitchen facilities at the Cabo Inn. My suggestion for you would be to stay where you have a kitchen in your room. There are stores around but like the big ones Wall Mart, Mega, etc. would require a taxi or local bus which we use. Not sure about the music festival. I think you might be talking about the one in San Jose which is about 20 miles or so.

Sophiascarlett asked a question Oct 2015
Winston Salem, North Carolina21 contributions4 helpful votesCan someone suggest a quiet room in the hotel that seemed very clean, no carpet, and away from the main walking traffic. I like my sleep. I would like to know an actual room number so I can make the request. And if it had a decent view, not so much of water, even better. Trees are pretty too. I am going in December for one week to Paramotor.
