Detailed Reviews
In my opinion, Pueblo Bonito Blanco is the best hotel on the Playa El Medano for people looking for a relaxing beach vacation or families with small children. The hotel is clean and safe. They ask that you where a mask in the lobby and there is a body sanitizer machine outside to use when you arrive or leave the resort. A majority (maybe all) have a view of the ocean and rocks around the arch. The pool area is also relatively quiet, although there is some music playing for part of the day. Many hotels on this beach (except Pueblo Bonito) blast music and that's not what I am looking for. It is a nice family resort but you still have access to the bars and nightlife on the beach if you choose to partake. I love that you have full access to the amenities at Pueblo Bonito Rose right next door. Although I like the views from the rooms and the pool at Blanco better (quieter), I'd go over for water aerobics at noon everyday. The instructor gives a great full body workout. Another gem at Rose is the cafe. Great breakfast sandwiches with fresh squeezed orange juice and the cake selection is yum. Although the resort is family friendly, the beach at times is not. Unfortunately, solicitation to buy drugs is too common. It is not a peaceful walk on the beach and often bustling with activity. There are lots of activities on the beach to pay for and lovers beach is a short water taxi ride away. For small kids, the beach seems safe and the waves are small enough that toddlers can enjoy the water safely. The hotel is a short walk to town. Most local restaurants are open and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of safeguards in some of the local restaurants against the spread of COVID (social distancing between tables, hand sanitizer upon entrance, temperature checks). The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the mall and the main street with restaurants and bars. If you just walk 2-3 blocks away from the main street you can find local restaurants that dont cater to tourists and the prices are right. Pueblo Bonito has an all inclusive option. If you dont have all inclusive than the internet is not free. We will be back in the future!

We loved it at Blanco. We started by entering a full body sanitizer and that standard remained throughout. The location to downtown Cabo via the beach or walking the sidewalk was great. We’ve stated at Riu 6 times in the past but this may be our new ‘go to’ location. Ivan, our beachfront waiter was EXCELLENT, as was Luis! The all-inclusive package was our method of stay. The meals were great but if it was a cash only location, we’d likely pass, especially as a family of 5 (ex: Christmas dinner was $50 per person) on a 7 day stay. No pressure to sit through a timeshare but even though I wouldn’t buy, they offered some great incentives to sit through a 90 minute presentation 👍. We plan to return in June if the all inclusive option remains viable.

Very impressed with the cleaning protocol - all of the workers are wearing masks and common areas are cleaned frequently. In addition, when you enter the hotel they clean down your bags and have you walk through a standing machine that disinfects as you walk through. The beach chairs are spaced out and we felt safe the entire time. The restaurants implement the same social distancing protocol. Hand sanitizer is readily available and disinfectant is provided in the rooms. As usual the staff were awesome - friendly and attentive especially Juan, Ishmael, Freddy, and Andres!

Upon arrival 12/26/2019, told our 4 room reservation was not available. Overbooked! We made our reservation for 19 family members on April 27, 2019. We were not notified in advance and no arrangements had been made for us at another facility. The gentleman at the front desk, Vidal Aguirre, started calling around to make arrangements for us and said we could stay at their Monte Cristo timeshare facility for 3 nights and then transfer back to our original destination, Pueblo Bonito Blanco, San Lucas. Monte Cristo is on the Pacific Ocean which has no swimming on the beach due to undercurrents. Blanco is on the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. We refused to accept 3 nights elsewhere so he arranged for 1 night and promised to get us back to Blanco the following day. However, Monte Cristo was 30 minutes away by taxi. Hacienda/Villas 1 & 2. These villas only had beds for 7 people each (14 total).
The next day, we arrived at the lobby, we again had to fill out the same paperwork, give copies of all our passports and receive wrist bands. I told him he had better find some way to compensate us for all the trouble, possibly a whale watching trip. None was provided.
We paid US$20,434 for seven days. Due to Pueblo Bonita Blanco being overbooked, we were not provide a full day of enjoying our family reunion. Therefore, I am requesting a refund of US$2,919 as compensation for this totally unacceptable management error.

The staff at the pool, Kenny, Rudolpho and Daniel were so friendly, funny and welcoming. The waiter staff was also efficient and friendly. The trivia, dance lessons, and ping pong were very fun to break up the time between sun bathing and swimming in the pool. All the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful from the front desk to the maintenance men. We also enjoyed the food!
Sadly, my friend and I had to change rooms 3 times because there were ants (hormigas) all over the bathrooms. Luckily our last room has not had any problems with insects. We also recommend putting your bathroom items in the fridge as to not attract the bugs.

Excellent experience once again. This was my 6th time staying at either the Blanco or Rose, but first with my 5 month old baby. We felt extremely safe with all of the Covid-19 measure they put into place. The resort felt slightly empty which i am not used to, but it was imperitive in makins us feel safe. All employees, wore masks and sanitized areas prior and after to guest use. Most of the guests were repectful too, and the ones that weren't... well you cant penalize the resort for that. Looking forward to coming back soon, hopefully with no pandemic. 5Star!

We went to this resort on an all inclusive plan, but typically would not have done all inclusive in Cabo due to so many great restaurants in town, but circumstances were such that we had to do all inclusive on this trip. First, the resort was very clean. The property was fairly small so if you are looking for a larger, party type atmosphere, this is not it. This is very laid back and quiet. The two restaurants on property had great food, no complaints, but make sure to check out the other two properties that allow you to go to for their restaurants as well, because they are pretty fantastic. We had an issue with our room initially and requested to change rooms, and they were great about it. No questions asked and this was after sleeping in the room for a night. Really appreciated them accommodating us with our request. There were some negatives that caused our stay to be average...first, the rooms are extremely dated. I am not sure how we missed this in looking at the reviews but the rooms all have bedspreads still. Yuck! The walls are a stark white with stenciled beach waves on the walls, really a paint job and new bedding would go really far in a guests experience. Water pressure is very low as well as hardly any hot water. I am not sure if this is anything the resort can control, but it made showering more of a challenge. The bars, it was very confusing what drinks were included in the all inclusive plan and what wasn't. I asked initially and was told something wasn't included but found out later it was. Most of the drinks are very weak and low quality alcohol. It makes sense with it being an all inclusive but to be able to have some fun and good drinks was impossible. Our experience overall was just ok due to the things mentioned. Not horrible but definitely impacted our overall review.

This is a review just for the pool, food and service staff. We stayed at Pueblo Bonita Rose but used the facilities at PB Blanco most of the time because we found it to be considerably better.
I understand from other reviews that the rooms are no better than Rose and I cannot comment on that but my husband and I found the food and service to be considerably better at PB Blanco.
Ivan waited on us at the pool most of the time when we were there and he is truly exceptional. He checked on us frequently and the food and drinks were served promptly. I really enjoyed the nachos and mango margaritas and my husband said his mojitos were outstanding. Our first evening at the resort we dined at Cilantro and our server Armando was terrific. We also dined at Las Palomas a couple of evenings and Jose took very good care of us. They should train the servers at Rose. The difference in the quality of service between the 2 resorts is glaring.

My husband and I decided to take a last-minute trip to Cabo San Lucas and for the first time selected the all inclusive at Pueblo Bonito los Cabos Beach resort in Medano beach! We are somewhat particular on our accommodations and Service and Pueblo Bonito los Cabos ( Blanco) exceeded all expectations! You would expect an all-inclusive to have a lousy selection of alcohol/food and that was the opposite at the Blanco. Because the Pueblo Bonito has two properties on the beach they allow you to go to both properties restaurants and beaches as part of your all inclusive. There highend restaurants do ask for an additional charge of $20 per person but it was well worth it and going back a second night in a row before we leave this beautiful place.
We cannot have had such a wonderful time had it not been for the incredible staff that made us feel like the celebrities of the hotel! Each one treated us with kindness respect full accommodation and attentiveness to all our needs. We were greeted by Elena at reception, knowing it was our anniversary she later moved us to a better room, but honestly all the rooms are charming and quaint. Our favorite bartender was Angel Marco and Clemente at the cilantro bar and Paloma‘s. Ask Angel for his famous cosmo! Their wish was your command. Areli and Lio welcomed us as the hostess at Paloma and we look forward to seeing her every morning for breakfast!. The beach staff included Luis, Ivan, Juan who fulfilled all our needs while enjoying the sand the lounge chairs and the beautiful views.
We also purchased the romantic dinner which was an exquisite five course meal with wine pairing on the beach under a private cabana and fire pit having Martin Mario and Javier closely making sure all our needs were met and that everything exceeded our expectations.
Last but not least our dinner at Finelli‘s at the Rose was one of the finest dinners we’ve had it was absolutely incredible and we were taken care of by the most amazing staff Jason Carlos and
Erendira. Food was so amazing we are going back for a second night before we leave nothing could be finer than that meal organically grown and all homemade! Seriously one of the finest meals we’ve had.
For those hesitant on doing an all inclusive don’t hesitate at these properties.

I've stayed here before many years ago. It's got some years on it but it is still well maintained, with beautiful Greek architecture and tropical grounds and with excellent staff and service. They pushed Optional All-Inclusive for $150 per person per day whch we passed on. Ate only two restaurant meals at the Resort because there are so many wonderful restaurants in CSL. It's on Medano Beach which can be noisy but it is one of the few swimmable beaches in Los Cabos. It's close to downtown ($8 taxi ride each way), has excellent views (we had a Junior Suite with two balconeys - Room 336) with ocean views from every room. They had one ADA unit on the first floor but we brought along a shower chair for my husband who has mobility issues and stayed on the third floor with it's tub/shower set up, far from the elevator but with wonderful views of both the pool area and the ocean. The tub has a security bar. The kitchen is very small with a 2 burner stove that didn't work, but maintenance fixed it in 20 minutes, a microwave, small refrigerator and freezer with 2 ice cube trays, well stocked with kitchen appliances, pans, and dishes. There is a free hourly shuttle from Rose next door to PB Sunset which we took fr a Christmas Eve dinner at Frida's. I used the Armonia Spa at Rose for massages and facials. The management has every precaution for the corona virus. RCI also provided a round trip private airport shuttle for my husband and I with a 30 minute stop at the supermarket for $126. The WI-FI was strong and there are many TV channels in English and Spanish including 2 HBOs. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations and even Christmas carols in the lobby and restaurants. There are daily activities for both PB Blanco and Rose. I played Blackjack by the pool and won a prize.

They do have VIP suites at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica
Yes, all two of the restaurants at the Blanco are included in the All Inclusive price. But even better, all the restaurants at the Rose next door are included. And you can take the free hourly shuttle to sister resort Sunset Beach to dine there; PBSB has many restaurants.
My understanding is that some fancy foods are an upcharge. Think super fancy steak or lobster (I don't eat those things, so I don't know if anything is "worth it.") Definitely ask the server BEFORE you order. And remember to tip in cash ... pesos or USD.
I know that your privileges extend to Pueblo Bonito Rose next door and large Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach on the Pacific side (take the free shuttle bus.) The Rose has one large pool and a few dining options. Sunset Beach has many pools and many dining options.
If you are adults, you can use the pool at PB Pacifica but your AI privileges do not extend there.
I think you can go to PB Montecristo Villas to use that pool and maybe dine there, but I'm not sure.
You can also go to Quivera Club House at the golf course. I think that breakfast & lunch is included but dinner has a surcharge.
Several high-end menu items at various Pueblo Bonito restaurants have a surcharge. Ask first!
Yes. The Blanco is on the swimmable part of Medano Beach. But it is still somewhat steep and may be challenging to get into the water.
The gentlest part of Medano Beach is closer to the marina.
Yes.
Note that the Cabo forum is read often. This Q&A feature is often missed.
