Always a reliable place to eat. A good country pub with a good selection of draft beer (and a CAMRA pub of the year) with a good menu. We eat there regularly and did so a few weeks ago with friends and were delighted by the meal. So my wife and I went back last night and had an outstanding... More

We popped in for a drink on Friday night and wished we could have stayed longer. Beer was well kept and wine choice extensive. Even the dog was offered a bowl of water. The charming landlord introduced himself and locals were up for some banter. One of those uniquely British experiences. To be repeated.

The Inn and location reminded me of :-" those who lived in Upper Oddington, didn`t speak to the those that lived in Lower Oddington" from Midsummer Murders!! - BUT that is where the similarities end!, it is an idyllic spot to explore this very beautiful part of the country. The Inn was comfortable and welcoming, Simon was a great host,... More

We had a great time in the Horse & Groom on a short trip to oddington, we ate twice and loved both meals. The staff were accommodating and the prices for the food and drink were very reasonable for such a beautiful location.

I tried to book a room for a Saturday evening but was told that whilst there was availability we couldn't have the room unless we stayed two nights; we stayed somewhere else. We tried to come for a drink on the Saturday afternoon, the H&J was closed. Likewise Sunday afternoon. It might be brilliant if you can get in. If,

We are staying at a different bed and breakfast that surpasses every expectation but chose the Horse and Groom for Christmas Day dinner. We arrived late and the host's warning that our meal would have to be pushed forward as the wait staff wanted to be home for Christmas dinner made for an awkward start but the evening improved with... Just off the beaten track and away from the madding crowds is a wonderful free house sitting in the heart of this Cotswold village but with ample parking and an incredibly warm welcome from the owners. I'd stay here anytime of year but the winter promises a magnificent log fire burning and sitting in the wing back chairs listening to... More

We found this pub after leaving Stow on the Wold as we could not find anywhere to park! It is in a pleasant setting and we had delicious sandwiches. The service was good and it was a shame that we were only passing through and could not stop for a proper meal.

We've visited this pub a number of times and have in the past always found the staff to be friendly and the food to be good. This occasion was a Sunday lunchtime in the spring and we were only looking for a light lunch as we were going out for dinner in the evening. If they didnt want to be... More

One of the very best places to eat in the Cotswolds. Simon and Sally are so welcoming and the food is just amazing. Have visited many times as a couple and with all of our family. Every time it's been perfect. Thoroughly recommend.
