Have been wanting to stay here as in the past i have often passing by the area and finally have the chance today while attending several events nearby. Amazed with its colonial style design, spacious lobby, great size of standard and suite room with high ceiling and very chic colonial design furniture which are lovely. Pool is at decent size, good access to the beach, gym could have been improved, restaurant only open till 22:00 so will be challenging for moslem wanting to have sahur. Sign of age could be clearly seen everywhere, i guess this is still recovery time from the pandemic period but I really hope the owner would do more to improve its current conditions.

Stay at Rumah Luwih in order to take part in the Maybank Bali Marathon. Reservations are very helpful with the reservation team (Mrs. Nurul). Very close to the event location, spacious and clean rooms, good restaurant food. While I was in Bali, the driver Bli Ketut Widi assisted (087855491852) and rented a toddler stroller in Cilukba (081138109889)

Overall the hotel is dated, dirty and needs a lot of maintenance. We booked a two night stay based on other reviews and images on booking.com. On arrival staff were pleasant. Food in the restaurant was very basic, however not terrible. What was terrible however was the broken aircon in our room. We were not advised at check in that there would be no aircon. There was no aircon, or very poor aircon throughout the hotel and in the lobby areas. We made do with this, however at around 0545 hours the following morning we were woken by dance music. It was so loud it felt like a nightclub. We called reception and were told there was a dance class on and nothing could be done. The music lasted a further 1 hour and 15 minutes before stopping. We then wasted the first half of our morning trying to catch up on lost sleep. During 0700 and 0900 hours house keeping then entered our bedroom 3 times to check if we wanted the room made up. We decided to leave and booked alternative accommodation elsewhere. We spoke to Tiki at reception who advised us she spoke with a manager and despite the issues and dance music from before 6am there would be no refund. It took around 40 minutes for the staff to speak with a manager by phone, taking further time away from our trip that day. The manager did not speak with us directly and refused to issue any refund despite the above. We lost out on almost 900k idr (£45) for the one night stay we did not have at this hotel and it cost us around the same to book another. We only wanted refund of one night to cover the cost of alternative accommodation, nothing more. Could not recommend this hotel and would urge others not to waste time or money trying it for themselves. …

We spent 2 amazing nights at rumah luwih. Room was luxurious. Bed so comfortable, decor beautiful, great shower and that bath tub looking out the windows was brilliant. View from balcony beautiful, especially sunrise. Pool was perfect. Staff were wonderful, nothing too much trouble. Food was some of the best in our month in Bali. Breakfast we could order whatever we wanted from the a la carte menu. Dinners were delicious. The grounds were lovely and I can see why it is a perfect location for a wedding. Not much around the hotel except local cafes and supermarkets but we had a lovely walk along the black sand beach path.

I arrived at 11pm to the hotel. AFTER I checked in, the front desk staff informed me, "sorry Madam, the air con is broken". I asked to be given a different room but was told that the aircon had been broken in the entire resort since yesterday. So why didn't the hotel inform me?? It was 27C at the time. I was given an old fan with a loud rattling sound. The room was stuffy so I didn't get any sleep. Day 1 of my long anticipated holiday. I asked to cancel the rest of 4 nights stay. The negotiation lasted for over an hour into day 2, at 11am. Another half day gone. As far as the hotel goes, I booked junior suite on level 2 with sea view but the view was blocked by a large tree! The resort is very dated. What I don't appreicate is that I wasn't informed of the aircon issue until I CHECKED IN. For me, this is dishonest. I booked the package through lastminute.com: imagine the hassle I had to go through to get my 4-nights accomodation money back! Still waiting. Lastminute.com also over charged my credit card for $535 which they returned but said it was for the hotel accomodation. Nightmare. I ended up moving to the Royal Purnama as a walk-in. It was a world of differnce!…

its a very beautiful hotel. Good location. Beach front. Classy interior with Colonial and dutch style. The ambient was very comfortable. The room was superb. The detailing, amenities, interior and quality are just great. The view is stunning. You can see the sunrise in front of your window. The ocean is really spectacular view.......

Rumah Luwih is a good place to hanging out with our family or friends, they have a good views, nice food, humble staff with good services. View from pool side is beautiful Nice for outdoor event Location ideal , not crowd and noisy. Some leakage at stairs when raining, so becareful of slippery. The swimming pool water not seem interesting to swim The food taste is not so good

We chose this hotel last minute on a whim as we needed to leave Alila Manggis (nearby) due to my vast disappointment on arrival at Alila. The Rumah Luwih was nothing short of breathtaking! We arrived in pelting rain & it only added to the romance of the property... I felt like we had pulled up to one of Ralph Lauren’s sprawling mansions or his Jamaican estate! The entrance, foyer, grand staircase & welcoming staff were a great start... beyond this it just kept getting better. The hallways, the lift, the foliage, the architecture... it truly tickled every whim of my visual senses & considering how cheap it was, I kept having to pinch myself!! The rooms were beautifully laid out, clean & spacious. The grounds, the pool, the outlook over the swan/duck occupied pond to the horizon of water was really gorgeous. Service was fantastic - they couldn’t do enough for you & were so warm & lovely. Only downfall would be the food - breakfasts weren’t half as good as the breakfasts at Banyan Tree in Ungansan... but really, what could I possibly complain about in comparison to the price? Chalk & cheese. For the price, it’s an absolute steal! I went for a girls trip with my mother who also took advantage of the complimentary photo shoot we received as a gift - it produced some magazine worthy shots which we will always cherish! Thank you for a saving grace (grace being the operative word!) ending to our fabulous trip! We both remarked constantly on the hotels beauty & would definitely return... And I’m very hard to please!…
