We will be back! Truly, our visit booked since April 2019 but delayed due to the pandemic, was a piece of Heaven on Earth. Our hostess, Mary, is a beautifully kind spirit going the extra mile for her guests at Whitestrand B&B. From the fabulous breakfasts each morning to the immaculate rooms and the amazing Irish countryside draped in emerald green framed by the blue of the Atlantic, we could not have asked for more. Sheep and cows lazily grazing within feet of bedroom windows and paths made for the quintessential Irish experience. In walking distance to the local eatery, pub and store, our group of five adults from age 20 to 56 always felt safe and welcome by all the lovely residents! Thank you, Mary Houghton for making us fall in love with Whitestrand B&B and Malin Head, Ireland. We will be back!

Melon head, is the northern most point in beautiful Ireland. Rocky hills and Virgin Meadows provide a beautiful setting for Whitestrand B&B. Mary, the owner, has created an inviting oasis that is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well located in an area suited for many outdoor activities. Breakfast starts your day with homemade jams, variety of breads, and a full breakfast to your desires. If you’re looking for a quiet place for a getaway, Malin Head and Whitestrand is the place. The Seaview restaurant, in the very small village, is a hidden gem that gives you a fine dining experience with excellent food and service is only a short drive away.

Mary is the epitome of a host. She is so very welcoming, you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Whitestrand is spotless thru out. Our room was lovely overlooking the sea in the distance and her lovely garden in the back. The bed was comfortable and again everything nice and clean. Breakfast was delish. She makes the best poached eggs— not a skill everyone has. Mary was extremely helpful with guidance on how to plan our time while we were in Malin head and the surrounding area. One evening my husband and I walked to the beach (with some wine of course) to watch the beautiful sunset. Malin head is such a magical, wild place and Whitestrand is the perfect spot to rest your head after a lovely day.

This was our first B&B and it set the bar extremely high for any other. Mary was our host and she was simply fantastic! The accommodations were quite nice with plenty of quite space to relax after a day of touring, driving and running all over during our holiday.

We were welcomed and shown to our room, Mary made sure to explain everything and also got us set for breakfast the next morning. She's quite the host, very warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and things to see. Malin Head is such a beautiful place to visit and Whitestrand is the B&B to enjoy! We will be back, definitely!

Our stay in Whitestrand BnB was the nicest experience I have ever had in a bed and breakfast. Firstly, Mary met our needs when we arrived to the house as we were early and attending an event. Secondly, the rooms were absolutely spotless. The beds were extremely comfortable also! Mary made us a delicious breakfast the next morning and the home baked treats just topped it off. We totally felt at ease staying here and we will most definitely be back.

We stayed in self catering cottage right on the harbour but Mary kindly agreed to provide breakfast at Whitestrand b & b. Everything was perfect, cottage was clean and cosy, breakfast was second to none and Mary was so friendly and accommodating and she gave me a pot of her husband's home produced honey, on leaving. Highly recommend this B & B

The Whitestrand B&B is the perfect place to stay when visiting Malin Head. Mary is the most hospitable and wonderful host you really feel like you’re part of the family. Spacious and immaculate rooms and one of the best breakfasts you will have in Ireland. If you’re going to Mail head go to Whitestrands B&B.

We loved our stay at Whitestrand and visit to Malin Head. Mary was a wonderful,, warm, and welcoming host who knew the area and provided great advice for visiting the cliffs and other sites in the area. The BNB is very comfortable. clean with great beds, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast options, and only minutes from the cliffs. It’s definitely worth the drive to see the northern-most tip of Ireland and the endless vista. Whitestrand a great place to stay - we were there for two nights and would have stayed longer.
