Mary greeted us and got us settled in our rooms. She was able to recommend a local restaurant and, after our long drive up to Malin Head, she drove us up to the hotel so we wouldn't have to get the car out again. Rooms were comfortable and bathrooms good as well. Breakfast was excellent and the porridge was some of the best we've had on our two trips to Ireland! Views were beautiful and the B&B was off the main road, but not too far! Mary was a great host and we would definitely stay here again.

We will be back! Truly, our visit booked since April 2019 but delayed due to the pandemic, was a piece of Heaven on Earth. Our hostess, Mary, is a beautifully kind spirit going the extra mile for her guests at Whitestrand B&B. From the fabulous breakfasts each morning to the immaculate rooms and the amazing Irish countryside draped in emerald green framed by the blue of the Atlantic, we could not have asked for more. Sheep and cows lazily grazing within feet of bedroom windows and paths made for the quintessential Irish experience. In walking distance to the local eatery, pub and store, our group of five adults from age 20 to 56 always felt safe and welcome by all the lovely residents! Thank you, Mary Houghton for making us fall in love with Whitestrand B&B and Malin Head, Ireland. We will be back!

We stayed in 3 of Mary’s houses as we have a large family. Mary went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. She was only at the end of the phone for anything at all that we needed. Houses were clean, comfortable and suitable for families. We had 5 children with us ranging from 2 year old to 10 year old. All ages catered for. Mary made us all breakfast each morning which was delicious and an excellent selection. Catering for vegan also! The accommodation is a few min drive from the pier, shops and bar and restaurant! Would 110% recommend staying here! Thank you very much Mary!

Mary is the epitome of a host. She is so very welcoming, you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Whitestrand is spotless thru out. Our room was lovely overlooking the sea in the distance and her lovely garden in the back. The bed was comfortable and again everything nice and clean. Breakfast was delish. She makes the best poached eggs— not a skill everyone has. Mary was extremely helpful with guidance on how to plan our time while we were in Malin head and the surrounding area. One evening my husband and I walked to the beach (with some wine of course) to watch the beautiful sunset. Malin head is such a magical, wild place and Whitestrand is the perfect spot to rest your head after a lovely day.

We drove through the storm and was greeted with the warmest Welcome! Mary was very welcoming and friendly. Room was lovely and quaint, very clean too! Wish we stayed another day or Two! Location’s great with incredible views. Mary prepared the best breakfast we’ve ever had in Ireland. She also has many great sight seeing recommendations. Thank you for making us Singaporeans feel like home. Loved our stay there.
