If you are looking for a clean place just to spend the night recharging you're batteries, it is a good spot. Who need free wireless and all luxury when you have the cabot trail to explore? I was up around 9, would eat breakfast and come back around 10 in the evening. Shower and bedtime.

It is what it is. Very clean, very friendly. If you are looking for a Hilton, don't come to this part of the world. It is rustic and friendly and wonderful. No cell service in the area. Internet worked. Wish the cell providers would update the service in the area! A comfortable bed and a hot shower, good food., good... More

I was looking for clean accommodations and that is what I got. We stayed in the cottage. It was great. Wi-if was spotty. The restaurant wasn't that great and it was overpriced for what you got, but if we ever go back to Pleasant Bay, I would stay there again.

We checked into the Mountain View on August 3rd, 2016 The "office" is located in the restaurant. We were checked into Room 217. The WiFi did not have any connectivity. The towels were like sandpaper, the water pressure was a dribble. We had to use our own bottled water for teeth brushing and washing our face and hands. The beds... More

"Free wireless" doesn't work (doesn't reach past main office/diner), no cell service either so you are completely cut off. Shower didn't work, water came out of sink in staccato bursts of spray. Difficult to open door which was very insecure (wood was warped so needed to push a lot to open) but it only had a weak knob lock anyway.... More

We stayed in a cottage and while I appreciated the extra room, it definitely needs a facelift. Peeling wallpaper, chain lamps and no overhead light, a double bed for two adults?? It was a squishy and uncomfortable bed and night. Seriously, time to spring for at least a queen. We were confirmed a playpen or crib and were told on... More

Cottages are very quiet and peaceful! Very comfortable. Loved hearing the wind and the trees around us. But we spent one night in a regular room in the motel and it wasn't as nice inside or as comfortable and you could hear right through the walls. Wifi is very inconsistent and weak except when in the restaurant. This was very... More

We stayed here 1 night in June while driving the Cabot Trail. It is a remote area with few choices. Prices seemed high for what we got. The rooms were very dated, peeling paint and wallpaper. The door wouldn't unlock in the 1st room they gave- that should have been a clue. The towels were threadbare and the mattresses were... More

We stopped in for breakfast yesterday, but left somewhat disappointed, on two counts. Although the setting is nice, and service good, the coffee was perhaps the worst we've ever been served. As my dad used to say, "it tasted like dishwater". Secondly, home fries are usually included in a classic Canadian breakfast, but an extra $3.50 for 25 cents worth... More

Good clean motel. Needs updating. The bed was comfortable but was noisy when you sat on it or rolled over. It had a large box underneath for no reason. Shower was good, water hot. Great wifi. Excellent view of the mountains - sadly we did not see a moose. Restaurant food was okay, staff friendly.
