Monjo village lies on the edge of Everest (Sagarmatha) National Park’s entrance. MLN Monjo sits perched on a hillock at the end of the village, between the local monastery and the oldest standing home in town, over a century old. Upon entering the lodge’s gate, a beautiful long, stone-paved walkway leads through the garden and up to a warm and welcoming lobby.

The stone-built, green-roofed Monjo lodge, fitted in classic Sherpa style, is the newest of the Mountain Lodges in the Everest region and comes with acres of space and some of our most experienced staff. The first floor has two beautiful sunrooms at either corner of the hallway to relax in, and the dining room on the ground floor offers views of the village, and hearty meals served before the warmth of an open fire.

Soft Place to Fall After a LONG DAY of Trekking
After 13km of trekking (from Lukla to Monjo) my family and I were dying for a hot shower, good food and a nice bed. Yeti Mountain Home Monjo delivered on all of that. The food was delicious, the shower was hot and the beds were perfect! No this is not a Four Seasons, but the service was great, the atmosphere was even better, and I could not have asked for a better lodge to stay in in the area. After speaking to many trekkers, it sounds like Yeti Mountain Homes are the best places to stay in the Sagamartha area. I would highly recommend these lodges to anyone.
Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback! We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us.We are encouraged by your appreciation on our team and services. I will share the same with the team. Thank you for recommending us. We look forward to your return visit in the not too distant future. Best regards, Ms. Pasang Lamu Sherpa Sales & Operation Manager

Great place to rest after long day on the trail
This is one of several YMH lodges we stayed at on our trek in Nov. 2017(please see my review- msaincamb- of the overall excellent quality of the trek at my review of the Lukla property). As at all the YMH properties, the rooms and beds here were very comfortable, the food was quite good, hot water available, the staff and manager very friendly and helpful and the lodge and grounds beautifully designed.

Best Option on Everest Circuit - Yeti Mountain Home Lodges
This was a very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious with a private bathroom. No ventilation fan in bathroom, so this makes for a murky atmosphere after showering. Bring your own shampoos and conditioners on the trail because amenities in the rooms are limited. Public restrooms in this property were not clean and didn’t have toilet paper. Your room will have tissue, but I recommend bringing your own with you. Meals were basic and, like Ive said in other reviews about Yeti Mountain Home - they could do a lot better on meal offerings for the price point they’re at. You expect a little more from a ‘luxury property’. Other than that, the place is great. And it's (without question) the nicest option on the Everest Circuit along with the other YMH hotels.
Dear Guest Thank you for choosing to stay with Yeti Mountain Home during your visit to Everest region, and for your kind comments on Trip Advisor. We are glad to read that overall, you have enjoyed your stay. Your comment on bathroom ventilation and meal quantity are well taken. I am sorry to hear about the service issue your expressed and will be sharing your comment with the team to ensure these shortcomings are addressed and never repeated in future. Thank you once again and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Regards Ms. Pasang Lamu Sherpa Sales & Operation Manager

Attentive service, large rooms with private bath, hot water for shower, electric blanket for bed. Three course meal for dinner, breakfast was porridge, eggs, potatoes. Happy hour with free drinks and snacks before dinner. No heat in room but large wood-fired stove in common area which kept you warm till bedtime. Very quiet at night. Wifi was slow.

On our trek from Phakding to Namche we stop at Yeti Mountain Home Monjo for a lunch break. The lunch was superb! We had a vegetable soup, potato pancake, and an amazing salad from their farm. Everything was light and fresh and just what we needed to continue on our hike up the mountain. It was so great I stopped by again on my hike down. I would love to stay at this Yeti Mountain Home the next time I am back to tackle other peaks. The location is beautiful and everything from the decor to the amenities were on point. Five stars!!

No complaints about the Hotel itself. It is modern, clean, warm. Loved it. But...the staff were not welcoming, warm, friendly. Felt like we were an inconvenience, interrupting their phone/chat time. Their care less attitude left us disappointed. The hotel was not busy, our group of 3 plus another group of 5. We had pre booked, we were expected.

I'm proud to say I have already visited all Yeti Mountain Homes and Everest Summit Lodges, so I can compare. And can say this place in Monjo is out of the standards. In comparison with other places there are only 2 or 3 workers who barely can provide proper service. Food was scanty, and chiken curry was barely chewable. I woke up in the morning and tried to get shower. But - the surprise - no hot water. And there was no worker on duty in the whole hotel. Nobody except the tourists. It took almost half an hour to find a hotel worker and she told me the water is heated by solar, so there is no hot water at all. So I had to call to the main office to complain - only after that hot water came. The workers - are the girls from the village who barely speak English and have neither training nor understanding of hospitality. If you ask them about some help they just giggling but do nothing. Actually I got the impression: they don't care about customers, they don't think about service. They are simply... sleeping.

Staff and food amazing both supper and breakfast, we are both in the small lounge with the fire box warming us. Heated beds awesome after a cool days hike and hot showers felt great. Views outstanding to wake up to, the sun shining off the majestic peaks. Watching the main trail with from our bedroom windows is like watching a documentary. Lodge itself is beautiful
