One night stay. Good clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of Hook Norton Beers. Good quality ingredients (bacon and sausage) made the full English breakfast really enjoyable. Would recommend this inn.

Unpretentious rural pub, complete with proper prices, great staff, large garden, dart board, decent food, separate pool room, restaurant, and bar. Real fires, real ales, real people. If you can't feel at home here, you're probably not the sort of person who should go to pubs.

I recently stayed at The George for a night and found the experience generally enjoyable. The pub downstairs was lovely and everyone there was very friendly when we checked in. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the church, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, we did have some issues with the noise. We were...

The three course OAP menu for £10,25 was excellent value - my wife and I both had smoked duck and orange starter followed by Pan fried sea bass in a cream and chive sauce after which I indulged in the white chocolate cheese cake -all very yummy and good sized portions, but it took from 12,30 to 2.15 to complete...

We had lunch as a group of 9 walkers, pre-ordering the meals a couple of days beforehand. The ambiance in the pub is warm, reinforced by the log fire burning in the fireplace. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The various meal choices were all excellent. And they serve a good pint !

We have stayed at The George twice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is great and our room (with four poster bed) was excellent. I have no hesitation recommending this as a good place to stay, you won't be disappointed.

I have eaten here a couple of times recently and the food is absolutely superb! Sunday lunch is probably my favourite in the whole area, with a cosy fire in the main bar and real country feel. HIGHLY recommended.

Lovely Inn, very comfortable room with 4 poster and lovely full English for breakfast. Really liked the restaurant menu and the food was good, I had duck and my wife had lamb. Car park at rear and very friendly staff. We visited Blenheim Palace for the day and overall had a lovely weekend. Would recommend.

Each year I organise a Gentlemen's Lunch just before Christmas. This year I chose The George at Brailes near Shipston-on-Stour. Sixteen of us attended last Friday where by arrangement we had the Dining Room to ourselves. Baggy Sanders and his most able team laid on an excellent Cauliflower Pear & Stilton Soup, Whisky cured Salmon with Horseradish Ricotta, Braemar Pheasant...
