We stayed for a week at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. We decided not to stay half board in view of previous reviews that we had read about the food and we like to try a variety of eateries anyway. That said, the breakfasts had enough variety to meet all tastes and was of good quality. We ate at the pool bar a few times and found the food to far better quality than some of the restaurants that we visted elsewhere! You can upgrade to half board if required. There is a dress code in the evening which requires gentlemen to wear long trousers, which can sometimes make a hotel seem a bit on the stuffy side,in our opinion, as you can still look smart with a good pair of shorts and a polo top. The hotel and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean throughout. We could not fault the decor and attention to detail. All staff do their utmost to ensure that your stay is as relaxing as you want it to be, particularly those by the pool and beach. The beach is golden coarse sand with crystal clear waters which slope gently. If you want powder white sand, La Cinta and Porto Istana beaches are lovely. We stayed in room 220, a superior sea view room, which had a large balcony with a sun lounger and a table and 2 chairs and a clear view of the beach. The bathroom in this room was absolutely amazing, with a rainfall shower and Bulgaria toiletries. If you can, spend the extra for a room with a sea view. Some of the rooms on the first floor would, in our view, have a restricted view due to the walls by the steps to the pool. The room was always spotlessly clean and perfectly tidied each day. The only negatives would be that the room does not have tea and coffee making facilities and the bed was a bit hard for our liking. The hotel is located in Li Cuncheddi which is about 3km from the nearest village, Murta Marta, which has a supermarket and a couple of pizzerias. The location of the hotel is very remote and car hire is essential if you don’t want to spend the whole of your stay in the hotel, although the hotel does offer a free bike hire service. There is a very lovely Trattoria about 300 m from the hotel in a complex but it is up a very steep hill and you need to book in advance as it is very small but very popular. We had the best pizzas there! If you want to get out and about, driving is very easy as the roads are quite quiet. San Teodoro, Porto Rotundo and Golf Aranci are all within about a 30 to 40 minute drive away and are worth visiting. If you are a souvenir shopper, these are probably the closest locations for you! Would we stay again? Probably not due to its remote location but if we wanted a totally relaxing holiday and not move away from the hotel, then yes we would.

From the moment we walked in to the hotel everything was just perfect! Hotel location is extremely memorable and right on the beach with private area for residents. Stunning views from the pool area and balcony of the room. The staff at reception, bar, restaurant, pool, beach to housekeeping could not be more helpful and friendly, service was professional and very attentive. The food and wine to die for! There is nothing that I could fault and not enough space here to describe all pros! Highly recommended, worth every penny and for sure will return!

We had our wedding ceremony in this hotel and it was better than perfect. Everything went smoothly. The service is superb everywhere (lobby, reception, restaurant, breakfast). Junior Suite with sea view is highly recommended. The spa is small but good. Massage at spa was also very good. Special regards to Marino

Attractive modern hotel direct on the sea with a quiet beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas within about 50 meters and a short drive to some of the more popular beaches. We had a sea view room which had a nice basic furnishings, like a wardrobe with lots of storage space, a desk, and chair, large safe, and TV with lots of channels in many languages (although the TV remote is somewhat clumsy to operate.). The bathroom was decent size with luxurious toiletries and a nice walk-in shower. Air conditioning and internet worked well. Everything was spotless throughout the hotel. Breakfast was good, but we didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel restaurant. It’s about 3-4 kilometers into the small village that has a few restaurants and markets, or about 15 kilometers into Olbia. The entire hotel staff is very friendly and helpful - best that we found anywhere in Sardinia.

On the evening of our arrival, my wife and I with our infant son were immediately upgraded. I cannot think of a bad word to say about this hotel and the staff, everything was top notch. I had been nervous at first as my wife had chosen this hotel and booked it and only after had I read a few bad reviews, but after a week at the Cala Cuncheddi I can only deduce that these were written my malcontents. I have been travelling for 28 years and the house keeping staff were the best I have ever encountered. The desk staff never failed to assist and the waiting staff went out of their way to make my little boy feel special. We will most definitely be returning to this hotel at some point in the future. I just regret that it took us so long to discover it.
