I give it four stars because I think some of the other reviews are unreasonably harsh. You get what you pay for, people! was under no delusions when I stayed here last weekend. I just wanted a cheap place with a clean bed and AC. I was very satisfied! The room was spacious and quiet, and I might go as...

Booked this accommodation last minute and while we were grateful for the availability, the stay was not great. The rooms were of a decent size. The beds were made of what I can only assume is bullet proof grade foam on wooden platforms! You will not sleep. You will also not have wifi because the wi-if was so shoddy, it...

This hotel may be well located but the rooms are old and were not maintained at all. The bedding is old and the beds sagged and the room we were shown had an unpleasant smell. Since we didn't see another person or car, I would expect that the staff would have shown us something worth looking at. Unless you have...

We got the week long rate for a Jr. Suite (2 double beds, full bath plus kitchenette comprised of 2 burners, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster) for US$207/week. As it was clean and close to some of our favorite eating places and one of our favorite snorkeling beaches, it was good for the first few days while we looked for...

I give this four stars though I am trading off some niceties for price. These are budget accomodations, and therefore are not beautiful. Note there is no longer a night club there, so it was quiet and relaxing. The management seems to understand keeping everything functioning is important. This was fine. But every patch in the wall or ceiling was...

I chose this hotel because the site said it had a spa. Upon arrival, I was told it had closed down. Fortunately I found the San Carlos Wellness Center on the main highway, behind the Sagitario gift shop... a true gem of a place where Margarita gives excellent spa treatments, which are much cheaper than those at the San Carlos...

The office staff were polite and helpful and provided a wake-up call when we asked. Negatives: the bed was rock hard; it was like sleeping on a box. The air-conditioner was great until the last night when it appeared to freeze over and only put out a little cool air. There was only occasional lukewarm water in the shower, coming...

At first glance this hotel may seem like a real winner, but you might want to consider staying somewhere else. The biggest complaint my wife and I had about this hotel was the dance club (Cantina 1910) that is built directly under the rooms! I usually stay at a hotel so I can get a good night's sleep. That's a...

The Los Jitos is centrally located on the main road in San Carlos and close to restaurants. We stayed here for a few days just after Spring break so the town was quiet and uncrowded. Our Junior Suite was small with very firm beds, dismal lighting, and an uninspiring kitchenette – all highlighted by a bevy of deferred maintenance projects....
