The best part about this hotel is the staff! Jorge and the other young male front desk staff provide outstanding customer service. Pros: - staff, attention to detail - location to a fantastic bar & restaurant only a half a block away (El Manantial). Don’t let the music scare you away, delightful food awaits you. - breakfast (fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, buns & jam, toast and fresh orange juice) - cool rooms and ours had a gas fireplace in it (comfy) -cool authentic ambience - remember Uber is available or the staff will arrange transportation for you. Misses: - room was dark with no natural light available - room was at the top of the stairs on the top floor right under the construction of a new floor being built. Forget that afternoon nap. - wifi in our room was weak - walk to the square about 15 minutes but uphill on the way back. If location or mobility is an issue then you should stay closer to the centre - traffic in San Miguel is a killer - the free coffee service machine (Keurig type) is a piece of garbage where the water overflows the cups, then with no where to empty them. Plus no creamer provided.

I just returned from three magical nights in San Miguel- now I understand why everyone loves this city so much! Mansion San Miguel isn't the fanciest place in town, but despite staying in the least expensive room at the property, I had an absolutely wonderful time, and hope to stay there again. The service is remarkable. My daughter spilled cocoa on her sweater, and the staff offered to wash it for her, and then charged me nothing for doing so! My room was quiet- which is not to be underestimated in central San Miguel. The property is beautiful and peaceful. There is a kitchen open to guests. It's just a really lovely place. Not just great value for the money, but an excellent property at twice the price.

Our recent visit to San Miguel de Allende was made even more enjoyable with our choice of Mansion San Miguel for lodging. Great room, great staff, in a great location. At the front desk, Jorge could not have been helpful with information on things to see and do. He also arranged for transportation to and from the airport in Guanajuato (BJX). Excellent host. The rest of the staff were also helpful, and always cheerful and friendly. Breakfast is included, and consisted of a bowl of fresh fruit, warm rolls, granola and yogurt, with coffee and tea. It was served on an open, covered terrace that was always pleasant for a relaxing breakfast. It was a fairly easy walk down into the historical center of town from the hotel. Coming back is a little tougher, as it’s a pretty steep climb. But taxis are available for the return if the steep walk is too challenging. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The rooftop terrace is undergoing some construction, so it was closed. But hopefully it will be reopened in the near future. All in all, I give Mansion San Miguel my highest recommendation.

I happened to stumble upon this great find. The service as soon as we got there was great. Our room was very nice. The breakfast is very very moderate, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. This was excellent as we spent our days roaming the streets of this beautiful city. We also got some great recommendations on where to eat. The only issue was they were re-doing rooftop, however I’m sure once finished it will be amazing. I would definitely be back again.
