Susurro is a very special place, elegantly appointed and beautifully managed. Robert Waters is a most gracious host. Susurro is located about five blocks from the main square, with superb restaurants in easy walking distance (one and three blocks away). San Miguel is a cluster of gems, and Susurro is the principal jewel.

with absolutely the best breakfasts in town. Lola may be among the great chefs of San Miguel and Robert Waters, the owner, among the best conversationalists. Always a great group gathered around the table. The rooms are luxurious with the best bedding, fireplaces and generous baths.

The décor, the amenities, the spectacular breakfasts, only 4 guest rooms, each set out with everything you could ever want. The host, Robert Waters and his amazing staff, deliver a totally Mexican experience, with every amenity you'd expect to find in a Marriot or Hilton. Robert's knowledge of San Miguel, its culture and the surrounding area is complete and caring....

Our experience was truly horrible. We reserved the "Jardin" room and it was in terrible condition. The garden just outside one of the rooms appeared it hadn't been groomed for weeks. The tree was full of cobwebs and there were spiders crawling on the glass. There were open corners and the door to enter the room was very heavy and...

We stayed in Robert's house a week ago. I am truly amazed on the details and great vibe that you can find in Susurro; one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. There are details everywhere in the house, you truly feel the experience of being at a colonial house although it is a modern construction with all...

Owner/host Robert expertly sees that each guest has everything he needs. He accommodated us with early and delicious breakfasts so we could attend a conference. Our room was authentic and lovely. Not only was each breakfast entrée different over six days, but each was served with a different set of china. Robert went out of his way to arrange taxis,...

A true pleasure to stay here and enjoy the B&B, the breakfasts, the other guests, the street. A nice walkable distance from El Jardin and so many lovely walks, and restaurants only a block or two or three away. If you love San Miguel you will love experiencing this. Our room was lovely, the fireplace was nice in the evenings,...

My husband and I stayed here for five days of a 12 day trip around interior Mexico at the begining of Nov. Susurro couldn't have been better! This place is gorgeous! Every inch of the place has been decorated to perfection. It's very convenient to exploring the town by foot. The breakfasts, which are diffrent every day, are the best...

We stayed in Musico for four nights. Apon our 8am arrival we were exhausted from our all night flight, Robert not only had our room ready but also offered us breakfast. He and his ladies are so warm and welcoming it's like staying with family. The breakfast is beyond amazing and filling. The room is beautiful and super cozy--much like...

I was in SMA for a conference and stayed at Susurro for 3 nights, in Reyes. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and had 3 fabulous balconies where I was able to sit at night with a drink and listen to the sounds of the town. The property has so much character and the painstaking love that Robert Waters put...

“All the rooms are good. They are located at the back a classically restored colonial in a quiet residential neighborhood in centro. The exception is the fabulous La Parada restaurant two doors away.”

“They're all good, but for absolute serenity and solitude, I prefer Jardin, which, in addition to the bedroom, has a glassed-in 'sun-room' area w/bed. Great for writing or meditating.”
