Though not a particularly high-end B&B, Casa Calderoni excels in service. The owners, Ben and Mary ensure that at least one of them is on site every day, usually breakfasting with the guests and answering questions. The day concierge, Luis, is absolutely fantastic and bends over backwards to make sure guests have their needs taken care of. He is also... More

My husband and I just returned from our first visit to lovely San Miguel. Our stay at Casa Calderoni was awesome! You never know if something is really as good as it looks on the internet, but I assure you that it will exceed what you view on the internet. It is a beautiful property, tasteful upscale furniture and decor,... More

We spent three nights and 4 days in the wonderful and relaxing B&B. We failed to consider it was Easter weekend. The town was over run with people celebrating Easter. The owner and staff were very skilled and well mannered with total local knowledge. Breakfast was top drawer. Assistance with transportation was also complete and supportive, offering various options in... More

The first thing to note was the quality of the building and the amount of attention to detail, from tiling on the front of the stairs to ornate ceilings, light fittings, plenty of storage and comfortable beds. Our two rooms (Matisse suite) featured gorgeous paintings and wall murals. Apart from the actual building, breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were... More

This charming small inn was perfect for our 4-night trip and introduction to San Miguel. We were very happy with our room, which was a 2-room suite (the Salvador Dali room), and a few steps away from the charming rooftop terrace with lovely views of the city, church steeples, and distant hills, and beautiful potted plants. The bathroom was attractive,... More

We stayed in the Matisse room and it was very comfortable for our family. The service was a step above. Everyone was willing to help with advice, our room, getting transportation, breakfast.... Great location, also.

From the lush greenery cascading down the walls of the small courtyard to the artsy lamps and colourful pillows in the room, hosts Merry and Ben have paid attention to detail. About a 10 minute (slow) walk to the central square with no hills, the location is central to everything. The sunset from the rooftop terrace is spectacular. What makes... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Calderoni. The location was extremely convenient to the center of town but without the noise of being too close. The breakfast each morning gave us an opportunity to meet and get to know other guests whom we really enjoyed. This was a highlight. Ben and Merry were very hospitable and welcoming. Most of... My firlfriend and I spent a week in San Miguel and stayed at Casa Calderoni. It was my first trip to this lovely town. We stayed in the Matisse suite which was cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of closet space. We couldn't get wifi in our rooms, but (when it was available) the signal in the sitting room just...
